The apartment itself, is spacious and modern in its design and has been tastefully furnished throughout with all fittings being of the highest quality. The apartment has been equipped as a home and all the little extras make a big difference. On entering this ground floor apartment, you pass the fully equipped kitchen to your right and move into the main living areas. The kitchen's fitted units are accompanied by matching work surfaces, tiled splashbacks and stainless steel handles. Appliances include fridge/freezer, washing machine, oven, hob and hood and microwave. From the kitchen you enter the spacious and open plan lounge/dining area. The dining table seats 4, as does the lounge which has very comfortable leather sofas. The lounge has further benefit of TV with satellite and DVD for entertainment.
Access from the lounge can be gained through full width patio doors to a generously sized terrace which in turn leads out to the tropical pool area. The south facing terrace features a table and chairs to seat 4 as well as 4 sun loungers for further relaxation, and overlooks the pool area and Mediterenean Sea in the distance. Shade can be gained as required making the area being the perfect place for alfresco dining, relaxing, socialising and generally soaking up the warm Cyprus sunshine.
The property has 2 double sized bedrooms, both with fitted wardrobes. The master bedroom has a large double bed and en-suite facilities that includes large cubicle with shower, wc and w/h basin. The second bedroom has 2 single sized beds and close access to the central shower room.
Between the 2 bedrooms is the aforementioned luxurious and fully tiled shower room with shower, tray, wc and w/h basin.
The property is fully air-conditioned with ceiling fans having been fitted throughout. There are also electric background heaters for further comfort in Winter Evenings. Shutters and flyscreens are present on all windows, assisting privacy, security and keeping the apartment dark and cool as required. A supply of fresh drinking water is supplied to the apartment and the water is heated by solar panels.

Paphos combines ancient history with a cosmopolitan, modern tourist resort. The area by the coast is known as Kato Paphos and boasts a pretty little harbour and plenty of open air cafes and bars. Further inland is the aforementioned old town of Paphos, known by the locals as Ktima. With its narrow streets, hustle and bustle, covered market and typically Cypriot atmosphere, it is well worth a visit. As a consequence, Paphos is on UNESCO's World Cultural Heritage list.
Cyprus is famous as the birth place of the goddess Aphrodite, Venus in Roman mythology. She is known as the Ancient Greek goddess of love and beauty. Legend says that she emerged from the sea at Aphrodite’s Rock in a surge of sea foam.
The Kato Paphos / Tomb of the Kings area
This ideally situated holiday apartment is set in an enviable position , just off one of the main thoroughfares in Kato Paphos. It is within easy walking distance of the essential amenities at Tomb of The Kings Road and the seafront, as well as being only a 10 minute walk to the famous 'Old Town' of Paphos where you will find the municipal markets as well as a large selection of shops, cafes restaurants and other points of interest. There is a small Taverna/Bar called Apanemo just outside the development where you will receive a warm welcome from the owner. Popular restaurants like Olivetos, Fat Mamas, Artio Brasserrie, Youkoso and many more are within short walking distance.
Things to do in the area include Paphos Bird Park, reptile park, horse riding, Akamas Peninsular & Lara Nature Reserve, hiking/walking, buggy safaris, 4 x 4 safaris, sea caves area, sailing and many more. Amusement and water parks in Paphos are also easily accessible from Coral Bay as are numerous archaeological ruins such as the Tombs of the Kings.

If you want a totally wonderful property to stay in where you have a large clean and well looked after apartment then this is the one for you. We were totally surprised with this apartment. When you book online you expect a degree of what you see online is not always what you get......not in this case. It was wonderful. I would definately recommend this apartment. |

"The apartment was very spacious and well looked after. We were more than satisfied. The proeprty is in an excellent location, within 300-400 yards to the main strip. No need for taxi's or buses to get to the bars and restaurants. Only 300-400 yards to the Tomb of the Kings. We would recommend Tramps Bar, Ben's Bar and the Irish pub for drinks. The restaurants are all of a similar nature where they offer a 3 course meal for a set price, but a couple stood out, namely Raffles and an Italian restaurant opposite the Irish pub bar, the name of which escapes me! We were more than satisfield with the service provided by Letrentonline. A very professional service. The property manager was excellent, very helpful and nothing was too much trouble. We were very grateful and would like to thank him (John) and his family who were very welcoming. There were no issues to report regarding this property whatsoever.''

"We have just spent 2 relaxing weeks at the Megas Alexandros Apartments. I can honestly say that It was one of the best apartments we have ever stayed in. It was truly a home from home. From the initial enquiry through to the returned deposit everything went very smoothly. The booking agent was extremely helpful with every request and we had a visit from the owner soon after we arrived to make sure all was well. The situation of the apartments suited us since we enjoyed the walk uphill to the Old Town as well as the saunter down to the restaurants on Tomb of the Kings Road. The buses are excellent value to take you to the harbour or visit Coral Bay. I think previous reviews have already said everything we already thought. Visit The Devonshire Restaurant for an excellent meal and then saunter round the corner to Paddy's Bar and say hello to Ellen for us. We hope to return one day and do it ourselves. Thanks for all your help''

We've really enjoyed our stay at Megas- Alexandros! We could find the appartment easy with the good routediscription you gave us. The appartment was very nice! The information we found with restaurant-tips and so on was handy, but the info was a bit old at some points. The discription on the website about the appartment was 100% true. We liked the people on Cyprus very much, the are all very friendly. Every morning we bought our breakfast at the supermarket near the appartment, the owners are so nice!
We went twice to the harbour were we had dinner at The Seagull, a taxi-driver reccomended it. We liked it!
Overall: it was a fantastic holiday! Thank you. And maybe we'll be back.

"This was our 2nd stay in this apartment (we stayed 2 years ago) and it is still by far the best one we have stayed in. Its clean, new, fantastically situated, quiet etc. The little extras like DVD player, ipod dock, hairdryer, towels and a welcome pack of tea, coffee etc are just simple but really nice touches. The way the apartment faces means its nice and shady at breakfast time and then early evening you can still sit on the patio and enjoy the last bits of sun coming straight down on you. Its secluded from the other apartments to a degree too so nice and private for late drinks. The pool is maintained very well and its a nice temperature too!!!! The apartments situation in Paphos is great too, just a short walk from the start of the strip into Paphos. This time we also discovered Old Paphos behind us where there is another selec tion of shops and tavernas. The supermarket is a hop skip and jump away which was handy for stocking up. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here and would return again and again. The taxi collection and return driver was fantastic too that we booked through the owners - he really made us feel welcome and he couldnt offer to do enough for us."

"Megas Alexandros is a small complex in a quiet area not far from the Tomb of the Kings Road where it is accesible to all restuarants, amenities and the old town. "This is the first time we have booked with Villarenters and it is the best apartment that we have ever stayed in. It was better than it looks in the photos. It has everything you could possibly need including beach towels. It was just a short walk to the Tomb of Kings road with bars and lots of places to eat and a short walk to the old town with the markets and shops. A perfect location. We booked Andys taxi he was excellent, very reliable, he gave us a cool drink which was just what we needed. John who looks after the apartment is also excellent and keeps it very clean. The only down side was coming home, we could have happily stayed longer. I would definitely recommend this apartment."

"We have just returned from a fabulous fortnight at Megas Alexandros. The ground floor apartment was particularly suitable for us as we are a family with two children and being able to relax on the terrace and still be able to see the children playing in the swimming pool was a huge bonus to us. The apartment was clean and very well equipped and I cannot think of anything that was not provided for our stay. There was no need to pack towels for using around the pool as there were plenty of these provided and even the kitchen cupboards were stocked with basics like tea, coffee and sugar and there was butter, milk and wine in the fridge when we arrived. The management team were very helpful in arranging a reasonably priced taxi transfer to and from the airport for us and, as our return flight was late at night, they arranged a late check-out for us which meant we could stay in the apartment until early evening rather than the usual morning check-out for a reasonable charge. As for the location of the apartment, the Tombs of the Kings Road is just a 10 minute walk downhill where there are many restaurants and bars to choose from. However, if you dont fancy straying too far there is a taverna serving drinks and traditional style food right across the road from the complex. A 10 minute walk in the opposite direction takes you to the Old Town with its markets and shops. I would have no hesitation in recommending this apartment and, credit crunch permitting, we plan to return again in 2009. Thanks for a holiday to remember. "

"We have just returned from a family stay in Megos Alexandros and we were overawed by the standard of the apartment. It truly was home from home. The extras such as hairdryer, tongs, straighteners, washing machine, iron and ironing board and the extras such as the bottle of wine and fruit bowl, unlimited towels made the whole stay perfect. The pool was gorgeous and very picturesque and the staff who looked after the booking and while we were there were top class and extremely friendly. Its a short walk from the pubs and restaurants but with a handy taverna across the road and generally a nice distance from the hustle and bustle. We had friends staying in local hotels who we met everyday and they couldnt believe the standard of the apartment when they visited. We would have no hesitation in recommending this apartment to anyone and will definitely return. Its the best standard of accommodation we have ever stayed in."
