Home description

This well maintained complex is situated in a quiet location, yet it is ideally located for all amenities. It is suitable for either couples, mature single people or families, particularly those with small children and babies.

The apartment is on the ground floor, with its own sunny patio area, which is a nice private area and perfect for al fresco dining. There are two swimming pools, one for adults and one for children. The swimming pools are lovely and warm in the summer months and the area is never too crowded.

The advantage this apartment has over many others is that you can sit in the patio area and be close to the pool yet the area is screened off so it is very private. The patio area is also open which enables you to have your own barbecue.

The rooms are newly furnished and they have a lovely modern feel. The bedrooms have large cupboards and there is one double bed and two single beds, so four people can sleep comfortably without the need to use pull out sofa beds. The living room has a TV, DVD player and a new Hi Fi. There is also a nice dining area with a glass table and leather seating.

There is a lovely bright kitchen and bathroom and the kitchen is fully equipped with all of the utensils you will need.

The apartment is only a 10-15 minute walk to the blue flag muncipal beach, with its water sports and beach side restaurant. The harbour, excellent restaurants and the lively "Bar Street" area are also only a 15- 20 minute walk. There is a supermarket nearby which stocks all the provisions you will need. Next door to the supermarket is a nice cafe/bar which serves reasonably priced meals. There are also local tavernas within a 5 minute walk.

The apartment really is in a great spot and it has luxury facilities that are often not available as part of package deals. We have been to Cyprus many times and we have found that this is one of the best locations. We use the apartment ourselves on a regular basis.

The apartment is truly a home from home experience but with the added benefit of the warm sunshine!

The Paphos District

Paphos is the capital of the western region. Paphos consists of two areas the coastal area (Kato Paphos) and the town itself, which is slightly inland.

Paphos town is the main shopping area and there is also a weekly market for bargain hunters!

There are a number of sandy bays dotted around the town, many of which offer watersports and scuba diving. The best beach is Coral Bay, which is a 15 minute drive from the apartment.

The climate in Paphos makes the summer months a popular time for tourism in Paphos, when temperatures easily reach into the mid 30 degrees celcius every day; however, the cooler winter months make walking and cycling ideal activities.


Kato Paphos / Universal District

Kato Paphos is two miles south of Paphos Town. The tourist area of Kato Paphos runs along the shoreline from the large hotels to the east of the resort to the harbour and then up to the Kings Road (where the Tomb of the Kings is located).

There are a number of small beaches dotted around Kato Paphos. They are largely situated in front of the large hotels; however there is a municpal beach situated close to the harbour. This is a 15 minute wlak from the apartment.

Kato Paphos is the site of the ancient harbour, and adjacent to the harbour is an extensive Archaeological Park, famed above all for its elaborate Roman mosaics that decorated the floors of three villas, the House of Dionysos, the House of Aion and the House of Theseus.

An open-air theatre at the harbour is used for concerts and performances.

Within Kato Paphos are vibrant nightlife, beautiful restaurants and an array of shops. The restaurants and nightlife are located around the harbour and Bar Street. There are also a number of nice restaurants around the "triangle" which is situated at the top end of Poseidon Avenue (this runs up from the harbour).

Nearby are go-karting, horse riding, a great mini golf course and the aqua park (a 2 minute car ride from the apartment).

The majority of holiday accommodation in the harbour area can be found in Universal Gardens, around the area where Marina Complex situated.

The municipal beach is a 15 minute walk.

There are plenty of taxis outside the airport, but I can also arrange a taxi for you at a cost of approximately 30 euros each way.

I find that www.thomson.co.uk is really cheap for car hire. If you hire a car through them you can pick it up at the airport and either drop it back at the airport or in the resort.

The rent quoted is per week for up to 4 guests.

A 5% discount is available for bookings of two weeks or more. For bookings of more than 4 weeks contact me for a rate.

October is now £230.00 per week.

Payment is accepted by either bank transfer or cheque in GB pounds or euros.

A 25% deposit is required to secure the booking. This is non-refundable.

A £50.00 breakages/key return fee is payable. This is payable when you pay the balance. This will be refunded on satisfactory inspection of the property and return of the keys.

The balance and £50.00 breakages/key return fee are due 8 weeks prior to departure.

If you wish to book for unusual combinations of nights ie 8 or 9 nights etc., this is acceptable. This will enable you to take advantage of cheaper flights.

We found the location to be really good and enjoyed the walks into town and back. The pool area was lovely, as was the patio. We didn't realise how close the pool was in relation to the apartment from the description on the website. We all agreed that it was the nicest apartment we had stayed in whilst abroad! It was really homely, the bathroom and bedrooms were lovely (as was the leather recliner in the lounge!!). What also made it nice was the fact that you actually kept in touch with us whilst we were there, rather than maybe leaving it to a local property manager. Thank you very much for all your help! The holiday and accommodation, it was fantastic. We all left feedback in the book in the apartment.
