The Paphos region


Paphos was once the capital of Cyprus and is full of artefacts, cafes, restaurants, bars and discos. It is now divided into two distinct areas, one area is ideal for those who enjoy shopping, local culture and ancient history and the other for eating and drinking into the early hours. Together with the beautiful beaches, Paphos is a great place for everyone.
If music be the food of love then read on, as Paphos is the resort for you. The one time capital of Cyprus, Paphos is full of interesting artefacts, cafes and restaurants, as well as bars, discos and plush hotels. It is now divided into two quarters, each one as interesting and as exciting as the other - Ktima for those who like to shop and embrace local culture and ancient history; and the port of Kato Pafos where you can eat, drink, make new friends and watch the boats come in and out until sunset. The Kato Paphos / Margarita Gardens area
The number activities that can be enjoyed in and around the Paphos area are endless, from spending time on the beach, to walks along the coast or up in the mountains, bird watching, or looking at the numerous historical sites found all over the Island.
There is so much to do in Paphos, these include Sandy Beaches, Waterparks, Fair Grounds, Go Carting, Golf nad Mini Golf, Boat Trips, Safari Trips, Zoo's,, WaterSports, The list is endless...
Not unsurprisingly on a Island full of resorts, Cyprus has plenty of places where you can enjoy water sports. There's also at least one diving site in each of the big resorts. Mountain biking and hiking are possible, with specially marked trails, on the Akamas Peninsula and in the Troödos, where also in winter Cyprus' only ski resort can be found on the north-eastern face of Mount Olympus. Plus, what Mediterranean resort these days would not be without a golf course or two - there are several courses that have been completed or under construction, with the most popular in the Paphos district, being located at Tsada not too far from the apartment.
There are a number of businesses based in and around the Paphos Harbour area, that offer water sports and other water based activities, such as glass bottom boat trips, details of which will be in the house.

Just 15 minutes from Paphos Airport, When exiting the airport road, turn left on the old road towards Paphos. Follow the road for 10km until you come to main road roundabout with Debenhams on your right hand side. Turn left at the round about and follow the road for another 3 - 4km until you come to another roundabout. Turn right at the roundabout towards Kato Paphos.
Follow the road for 1km until you come to the main Kato Paphos traffic lights (there is a large church on the left hand side), turn left at these lights before the church. Follow the road to the end and turn left again, then first right, first left and left again. The house is located just 20 metres on the right.

House comfortable and clean. weekly clean and change of sheets and towells very good. Cooker needed replacing (not working well) only complaint. Very near swimming pool and bars and restruants. Road a little noisy at night but not a big problem. All in all a very nice property with good ammenities Owner Joseph Smith owner very helpful. The hob was only 12 months old, but these things do happen - i have now replaced the hob to yet again another new one, lets hope i do not have to replace the hob every year :-) I do appreciated your feedback and hope to see you again :-) |

Convenient house with pleasant shared pool nearby. Close to corner shops and restaurants and five minutes' walk from harbour area with lots of shops and restaurants and a good, well-stocked supermarket. Although close to 'bar street', it is in a quiet, residential road. Small garden area at front with table and chairs and small patio area at rear. Well equipped in kitchen and large TV in lounge area. Only drawback was the air conditioning, which was timed to go off after a set period and meant having to get up in the middle of the night more than once to turn it on again (which was necessary in the August heat). Response: Thank you so much for leaving this nice review - we have to limit the airconditioning as many people leave them running 24 hours a day when they are not even in the property and spending the day at the beach. As long as you are in the property it is only a matter of pressing the button to restart the air conditioning. Of course all hotels us a key card system and door sensors so if a client is not in the property or if a door is opened the aircon is switched off. Unfortunately we have to put in timers as i would not be able to offer such a good rental rate as the electricity bills can be as high as €250 Euros per week when the airconditioning is abused and of course pushing the units 24 hours a day is also going to damage the units. I do appreciated your feedback and hope to see you again :-) |

I went on holiday with my daughter and granddaughter for 11 nights at this property. It was just as on the website. Terraces back and front were great for catching the sun all day through. We went in late October and had lovely sunny weather. There was a car park for our hire car but we rarely had to use it. Convenient corner shop within yards for emergencies. Short walk to the sea and all the amenities of the beach road and the Fort area, but far enough away from Bar Street not to be inconvenienced by any noise. The town house is in a quiet area so sleeping was easy. I would not rent a place without shutters as I think these are essential and this property has good ones. We only had to use the A/C once and it was very effective. Being late October, the temperature cools down about six and it was easy to sleep. My granddaughter of nine months loved the high chair, cot and playpen provided by the owner. They made our stay very relaxed and easy. We used the communal pool - very clean, with loungers and cushions available. I would definitely rent this property again. There are many two-bed places to rent in the Paphos area but this one is better than renting in one of the vast complexes because it is much quieter at night! Joseph, the owner, was always available on the 'phone and this made one feel secure if anything had gone wrong. Response: Thank you so much for leaving this nice review.
