The Paphos District
Paphos is a town on the south west coast of Cyprus,enjoying over 330 days of sunshine a year. The story is that Aphrodite,Goddess of Love ,was born here and the remains of her temple are still very much in evidence just a few miles out of town. Whether the lady still has influence today is open to question,but there is a unique atmosphere that surrounds Paphos.
Few places in the world have as many historical sites that date back to 3,000BC and throughout the town you will find relics and remains that provide a glimpse of that bygone age.Paphos is the ideal base from which to tour the magnificent Troodos Mountains or to discover the delights of the little fishing villages of Latchi and Polis.
Kato Paphos / Aphrodite Gardens area
Paphos is a picturesque historic coastal town with the old harbour and medieval fort as its focal point. Along the seafront promenade, there is a wealth of shops,restaurants,tavernas and bars.When the sun goes down, there is a vibrant nightlife.
As well as the beaches and the watersports,there is an Aqaurium,Water Park and Go Kart track. Boat trips run frequently from the harbour. The main town of Paphos has an abundance ofshops, indoormarket, cinema, bowling alley, and museums, or relax with good food and wine in your own quiet corner of your favourite local taverna.
How to get there
Direct flights to Paphos and also Larnaca (140km) available from most UK airports. Our apartment is approx 20 minutes drive from Paphos Airport,taxis are available from the airport and cost approx 30euros,please confirm price with driver before setting off!Several major car hire companies are located at the airport,and there are plenty of local firms in Kato Paphos who may offer better deals. Further details indoors: Cot and highchair provided. Towels and bed linen are supplied but please bring your own towels for the beach/pool. We provide a local,24 hour on-call service. There is 1 double and 1 twin bedroom,with a double sofabed in the lounge area.Both bedrooms have fitted wardrobes with dressing tables and bedside cabinets.The fully tiled bathroom has both fullsize bath and refreshing shower. The fully equipped kitchen has everything you require for you stay,incl microwave,washing machine, large fridge freezer, fan oven and hob,crockery,utensils and glassware. Spacious dining area consists of oak dining table plus 6 chairs,leading onto the lounge area which consists of 2 large sofas,coffee table,satelite TV/DVD and a console table where you will find lots of tourist information. A safe,fire extinguisher and smoke alarm have been installed for extra security/safety.
Further details outdoors: The shared swimming pool is situated just 20 meters from the apartment. The gardens and courtyard are floodlit at night and are maintained regularly. Poolside showers/toilets are available. Private parking area situated to the rear of the apartment. New decked area at front with sun loungers and new cushioned seat giving extra space. Large patio area furnished with table and chairs for that all important al fresco dining (or a cold beer!!) plus sun loungers which can be taken to the pool.A storage cupboard has pool accessories eg bat and ball game,inflatable lilos and ring.

Smoking is NOT permitted in the apartment,If you do smoke outside,please dispose of cigarette butts with care. Midweek clean/laundry change available for a small fee.Arranged through the local contact. Taxi transfer may be arranged in advance,please ask for details. Conditions
A refundable deposit of GBP150 is required to cover cost of breakages/loss of keys/fob. A non-refundable deposit of GBP100 is payable to secure the booking with the balance payable 6 weeks prior to departure.Bookings made within 6 weeks must be accompanied by full payment. 10% discount for bookings made within 2 weeks of departure in Jul/Aug/Sep Long term lets may be possible subject to availability -please contact owners for details of discounted rates.
