About the home
Located in Kato Paphos, a 5 minute stroll to the beach and just 15 minutes into the vibrant harbour area with its medieval castle, restaurants, and many shops. Round the corner from the apartments you will find a number of bars and restaurants that offer a more relaxed way to end the day, sipping your cocktails, watching the sun go down, on a balmy mediterranean evening. You are also within 10 minutes of the super holiday attractions of the Waterpark, Island Cove Golf, karting and much more. If you are more adventurous why not learn to dive or hire one of the various off road vehicles avalaible locally and explore more remote areas of Cyprus.
The second floor accommodation comprises of 2 bedrooms,fully equipped kitchen, lounge dining room and private balcony. Furnished to a high standard with a TV, Air Conditioning and private balcony with furniture. The room has a separate W.C. with bath and Shower Facilities.
The complex has a private swimming pool with sun beds, and is hygienically maintained on a weekly basis.
Bedding and towels are provided for each rental period and your apartment will be thoroughly cleaned before your arrival.

To wet your appetite for the beautiful resort of Paphos here is a little information about it’s colourful history.
The area of Paphos is steeped in historical interest and is surrounded by incredible scenic beauty. In actual fact, the whole town of Paphos is included in the official UNESCO list of cultural and natural treasures of the world heritage.
In ancient times Paphos was the capital of Cyprus and is reputedly the birthplace of Aphrodite the Goddess of Love. The Town and the surrounding areas have many ancient sites which attract visitors throughout the year but probably the most well known and most visited place is the harbour with it’s Medieval Castle which was rebuilt in the 13th century after an earthquake and partially dismantled again in the 16th Century during the reign of the Ottoman Empire. Near to the Castle is the small 2nd century Paphos Odeon built of limestone rocks which is now used during the summer months for musical and theatrical performances, and also the remains of the ancient city walls.
The locally known ‘Tomb Of The Kings Road’ is the location for a large area of underground tombs dating back to the 4th century. Although the burial ground is associated with High Ranking Officials rather than Kings, the solid rock carvings and Doric Pillars give this magnificent site the local name. Situated close by you will also find the mosaics of these noblemens villas dating between the 3rd and 4th centuries which depict Greek Mythology.

Coast/Beach
Paphos enjoys an expansive coastline providing a wide variety of beaches to choose from, ranging from secluded bays, to lively resorts, sandy beaches and rocky coves, you are bound to find the right one for you. A favourite with the locals, Municipal Beach is a blue-flag sandy beach just a few minutes walk from the apartment. Water sports, sun bed and umbrella hire are available here from April to October. There is a beach bar and restaurants nearby. Coral Bay is just a 15 minute drive or bus ride away.
Skiing
Skiing in Cyprus is a well kept secret! The ski season generally runs between January and April. The Cyprus Ski Club which is an hour and a half drive away has four ski lifts reaching 8 alpine ski runs on the slopes of Mount Olympus (1,951m). The runs accommodate all skiers, from beginner to advanced levels. There are also cross country ski tracks. Downhill and cross country ski equipment can be rented. It really is possible to ski in the mountains and swim in the sea on the same day!
The Kato Paphos area

Round the corner from the apartments you will find a number of bars and restaurants that offers you a more relaxed way to end the day, sipping your cocktails, watching the sun go down, on a balmy Mediterranean evening.
During the hot sunny days you can enjoy the resident only pool, or walk to the nearest beach which is a short 5-10 minute walk away and has all the usual water sport activities which you expect from your holiday. In addition, you are a short distance from the waterpark, cove island crazy golf, go – karting, paintballing, and for those who wish to spread their wings you can enjoy one of the many tours or boat trips available from local operators.
The town itself has two main areas: Kato Paphos and Old Paphos. Kato Paphos is a vibrant cosmopolitan resort, best known for its mediaeval fort, old fishing harbour, seafront promenade and is highly popular with tourists and locals alike. There are numerous sandy beaches here, along with excellent open-air restaurants and entertainment facilities. Cultural events ranging from operas to art exhibitions and concerts regularly take place.
The Old Town of Pafos has generally maintained a rich Mediterranean charm with narrow streets, local tavernas and coffee bars, intermingled with shops that provide the local residents with their everyday needs. However, away from the old centre which surrounds the market place you will find the trappings of modern western culture with wider avenues, larger glass fronted shops containing fashion items, shoes ,white goods, jewellery,etc. Despite this overall mixture of new and old, the feel around the town is very laid back and the hustle and bustle of the UK can largely be forgotten. Even at the busiest of commuter times traffic jams are totally insignificant to any you would encounter back home, so sit back and relax and enjoy the atmosphere.
Kato Paphos and the modern day harbour is full of Restaurants, Bars, and Gift Shops to suit all your needs both as a tourist and as a permanent resident. Although the area certainly has an eye on the tourist economy, as yet fast food establishments do not dominate the eating culture, with traditional places to relax and soak up the laid back atmosphere far more evident all along the sea front. At the back of the coast road is the liveliest part of Paphos which is well known by ex-pats as ‘Bar Street’.

Paphos International Airport is about 15km from Kato Paphos and flights are available from most UK Airports. Most operators fly to Paphos but a good website to search for the best deals is www.skyscanner.net. Upon arrival you can either pick up your rental car from the airport, hire a Taxi (about 35 Euros one way) or catch the local public bus which runs on regular basis.
The journey by car or taxi is around 20 minutes, the bus will take considerably longer. Car hire is available from many of the well known companies such as Hertz, Budget, or alternatively through locally based companies here in Paphos. You can expect to pay around 20- 25 Euros per day dependant on the size of car you require. The apartments are on Polydefkis Street, which is situated in between the well known Avanti Village Hotel and the Avanti Hotel.
