The Paphos region
Though every town in Cyprus has it distinct features and attractions, Paphos has a character all its own. Paphos is a growing, modern coastal town that seduces visitors and residents with its majestic landscape, lovely coastline, historical treasures, medieval monasteries and delightful villages where tradition is still a way of life.
On the other hand the town's modern infrastructure including a number of golf courses gives Paphos the perfect balance of the past and the present.

The Kato Paphos / Tomb of the Kings area
The town itself has 2 main areas Kato Paphos (lower Paphos) and Pano Paphos (upper Paphos). Kato Paphos is best known for its picturesque old fishing harbour, sea front promenade and medieval fort. There are numerous sandy beaches offering water sports to suit everyone such as paragliding, water skiing, jet skis and now available for the 1st time on our island you can experience Power diving - diving without a tank. Along the seafront promenade you can find excellant restaurants, entertainment for all, take a stroll for a ice-cream or enjoy a cocktail while watching the breath taking sunset over the harbour.
Pano Paphos encircles the colourful Old Market where besides the rainbow of fruit and vegetables, cheese, sausages, pulses and nut of all kinds, the local market is also a delightful place to shop for dried fruit, popular local sweets or even traditional embroidery, lace and souvenirs.
The Tomb of the Kings area has the magnificent Tomb of the Kings archaeoligical UNESCO site dating back to the 4th century BC. There are also ancient mosaics and ruins within easy reach of the harbour area.
There are various family day out trips available which are easily accessible via regular bus services for examples, The Aphrodite Water Park, go-karting parks, bowling alleys, crazy golf, The Bird and Animal Park, Planet Adventure etc.
There are also 4 golf course available in the Paphos area. The newest and exclusive Elea Estate was designed by the famous Sir Nick Faldo.

Pafos was a good city to have our base (the apartment) and then we rented a car and travelled the island. A reminder is that the car rentals only lent cars for min. 3 days. Royal secrest is a wonderful hotel and we where pleasant suprised when we arrived. It was better in real life than on the pictures. We got picked up at the airport and also dropped of and it's the same money if you would take a taxi to the airport. We never had to wait for them (other way around) and Liza and Chris have been wonderful! Liza was avaible 24/7 and she helped us with recommendations wich was amazing and also wished us a nice flight home. I will def. recommend this place for anyone! We where 4 friends travelling and it was perfect! Had a great time!! Thank you so much! Response: Many thanks for your kind words.
