The Paphos region

Though every town in Cyprus has it distinct features and attractions, Paphos has a character all its own. Paphos is a growing, modern coastal town that seduces visitors and residents with its majestic landscape, lovely coastline, historical treasures, medieval monasteries and delightful villages where tradition is still a way of life.

On the other hand the town's modern infrastructure including a number of golf courses gives Paphos the perfect balance of the past and the present.

As in most Mediterranean countries, here in Cyprus we tend to have food in abundance at the centre of any kind of social activity. Wining and dining options cater to every mood and preference. From traditional taverns to Irish pubs, from fast foods to gourmet restaurants, you will find a balanced mix of local and international cuisine.

The glorious mediterranean climate gives us here in sunny Cyprus 340 days of sunshine with an average winter tempreture of 18'C. With a short drive from Paphos you can experience the thril of skiing or snow boarding in the Troodos mountains.

Kato Paphos

The town itself has 2 main areas Kato Paphos (lower Paphos) and Pano Paphos (upper Paphos). Kato Paphos is best known for its picturesque old fishing harbour, sea front promenade and medieval fort. There are numerous sandy beaches offering water sports to suit everyone such as paragliding, water skiing, jet skis and now available for the 1st time on our island you can experience Power diving - diving without a tank. Along the seafront promenade you can find excellant restaurants, entertainment for all, take a stroll for a ice-cream or enjoy a cocktail while watching the breath taking sunset over the harbour.

Pano Paphos encircles the colourful Old Market where besides the rainbow of fruit and vegetables, cheese, sausages, pulses and nut of all kinds, the local market is also a delightful place to shop for dried fruit, popular local sweets or even traditional embroidery, lace and souvenirs.

The Tomb of the Kings area has the magnificent Tomb of the Kings archaeoligical UNESCO site dating back to the 4th century BC. There are also ancient mosaics and ruins within easy reach of the harbour area.

There are various family day out trips available which are easily accessible via regular bus services for examples, The Aphrodite Water Park, go-karting parks, bowling alleys, crazy golf, The Bird and Animal Park, Planet Adventure etc.

There are also 4 golf course available in the Paphos area. The newest and exclusive Elea Estate was designed by the famous Sir Nick Faldo.

"Amazing apartment, great service!"

I travelled to Cyprus with a friend in September 2012. The apartment was far better than we imagined - the pictures do not do it justice! It is very spacious, and as there was only two of us we had a double bed and bathroom each. All essentials are included - washing machine, oven, TV, DVD player etc. The swimming pool is brilliant and is perfect for both relaxing and entertaining children (we didn't have any of the latter but the children in the pool seemed like they were having a lot of fun!). The apartment is a short walk to the main road - Tomb of the Kings. This is VERY English (lots of Karaoke bars and tribute acts) - however, it does have a certain charm about it. This wouldn't usually be to our taste (we wanted to learn more about the Cypriot culture) but we did have a lot of fun when there. If this isn't your thing, you can easily get a bus or taxi to the harbour (the bus is only 1 euro each way and takes about 5 minutes) which has many restaurants, cocktail bars and shops (which tend to be a lot nicer and not much more expensive).

We arranged for Chris to pick us up from the airport - this was well worth the money and made our trip run extra smoothly (Chris was waiting in the arrivals lounge with a sign with our names). Chris then showed us around the apartment and told us how everything worked. If we returned to Cyprus we wouldn't hesitate to book with Liza and Chris again. One of the best holidays we've had!

"Just like a home from home."

A lovely apartment, well equipped with a good sized fridge/freezer (plenty of room to keep liquids cool). The balcony is big and nice and cool in the morning when you are eating breakfast - we ate out in the evenings. Very handy for the restaurants on the Tomb of the Kings Road (5 minutes) and the harbour is only a 25 minute stroll away. The beds are very comfortable with plenty of extra pillows if required. There is a water feature in the pool near to the apartment that starts up at 8 o'clock in the morning and can wake you up, annoying if you want a lie in.

"Our holiday was great in Cyprus!"

We just came home from our holiday in Paphos, and we had great time in Cyprus!

First of all, the property was very beautiful, equipped with all the necessary gadgets. It was very clean, comfortable and the apartment is pretty large and what we liked the most is the capacious terrace! The pool is very lovely, very clean, and it was great to have fun in it at day time as well as at night.

Liza made a great impression on us, she was really great, the best manager I have met. She was very helpful and she referred us to all the sights and amenities.

Just to say we had a wonderful time in Paphos and we enjoyed our stay in your apartment. Thank you for helping towards a wonderful holiday and hope to use your services once again in the not so distant future! :)
