The Paphos region

Though every town in Cyprus has it distinct features and attractions, Paphos has a character all its own. Paphos is a growing, modern coastal town that seduces visitors and residents with its majestic landscape, lovely coastline, historical treasures, medieval monasteries and delightful villages where tradition is still a way of life.

On the other hand the town's modern infrastructure including a number of golf courses gives Paphos the perfect balance of the past and the present.

As in most Mediterranean countries, here in Cyprus we tend to have food in abundance at the centre of any kind of social activity. Wining and dining options cater to every mood and preference. From traditional taverns to Irish pubs, from fast foods to gourmet restaurants, you will find a balanced mix of local and international cuisine.

The glorious mediterranean climate gives us here in sunny Cyprus 340 days of sunshine with an average winter tempreture of 18'C. With a short drive from Paphos you can experience the thril of skiing or snow boarding in the Troodos mountains.

Kato Paphos

The town itself has 2 main areas Kato Paphos (lower Paphos) and Pano Paphos (upper Paphos). Kato Paphos is best known for its picturesque old fishing harbour, sea front promenade and medieval fort. There are numerous sandy beaches offering water sports to suit everyone such as paragliding, water skiing, jet skis and now available for the 1st time on our island you can experience Power diving - diving without a tank. Along the seafront promenade you can find excellant restaurants, entertainment for all, take a stroll for a ice-cream or enjoy a cocktail while watching the breath taking sunset over the harbour.

Pano Paphos encircles the colourful Old Market where besides the rainbow of fruit and vegetables, cheese, sausages, pulses and nut of all kinds, the local market is also a delightful place to shop for dried fruit, popular local sweets or even traditional embroidery, lace and souvenirs.

The Tomb of the Kings area has the magnificent Tomb of the Kings archaeoligical UNESCO site dating back to the 4th century BC. There are also ancient mosaics and ruins within easy reach of the harbour area.

There are various family day out trips available which are easily accessible via regular bus services for examples, The Aphrodite Water Park, go-karting parks, bowling alleys, crazy golf, The Bird and Animal Park, Planet Adventure etc.

There are also 4 golf course available in the Paphos area. The newest and exclusive Elea Estate was designed by the famous Sir Nick Faldo.

"Fantastic apartments and all round holiday"

This was our first holiday to Paphos and none of our group of 10 were disappointed. We rented 3 apartments within the complex and they were just brilliant. One of our group said how great it was that no matter what you went to look for it was available and the apartments were all clean and well equiped. Although we weren't there to watch tv the restricted channels were a it of a draw back when we were trying to keep the kids occupied out of the sunshine but we had full use of a dvd player and games were also available in the apartment.
The pool area was clean and tidy and there were people out from early morning making sure the place was ready for the day ahead. Having poolside showers and toilets was an excellent feature. There were plenty of sunbeds and umbrella's if you needed the shade. After a day out walking the lifts were a godsend for weary children.
It was about 300 yards walk down a sandy path to the main Tomb Of The Kings road and there is a vast range of restaurants and bars to choose from. Our favourites were O'Neil's irish pub, the food here was amazing and great serive and also straight across the road Martelli's (great portions and fabulous service). Everywhere provided free wifi which was brilliant. I can honestly say the service provided in every place be it a large supermarket, small kiosk or any of the restaurants was exceptional.
The buses run regularly from the harbour to coral bay and back and it was 1.50 Euro per journey per person. We regularly travelled to the harbour as there was some lovely shops and great sites at the castle and surrounding areas. We ate quite a few times at the Captain's Bistro which did a set menu for 11.95 Euros.
Our holiday was made so enjoyable by the friendliness of Liza and Chris who picked us all up with all our luggage for a very reasonable fee and we cannot thank them anough for the help and for providing such a high standard of accomodation at a great price. I would love to come back in the future and would definitely book here again.
A lovely complex with a high standard at a very reasonable price. I would recommend this to anyone wanting a chilled out and fun holiday in a fantastic place which will continually improve as there is a lot of redevelopment going on.
Fab fab fab :)

"Excellent value"

We stayed in apt 201 block B at Royal seacrest for two weeks in May 2012, the apartment was fantastic both in terms of facility's and value for money, and the on site pool was brilliant for both ourselves and a lively 3 year old !!
We booked with Liza from Elite Properties who I can only describe as the most helpful person I have ever booked a "holiday" with , many thanks for all your help Liza!
