Home description
Perfect for a family of four or two couples this fully air conditioned two bedroom, two bathroom apartment was completed and furnished in summer 2009. It is part of the prestigious Pafos Riviera development, which includes three swimming pools, well equipped gym, sauna, jacuzzi and play equipment for smaller children. There's even a bowling green. With balconies front and back you can enjoy sunshine all day long and the front balcony is large enough to accommodate sunbeds as well as the patio table and chairs. We are roughly midway between the beach and the old town. A 15 minute walk will take you to the beach and the harbour is only a five minute drive away. The lovely Coral Bay is about a 15 minute drive and Limassol about 45 minutes. All three golf courses are within a 30 minute drive. Minimarkets and supermarkets abound in Paphos.

The Paphos District
Paphos and Cyprus generally are renowned for their history and culture. There are endless fascinating ruins to visit, including the Tomb of the Kings, only five minutes drive from the apartment. There are championship golf courses nearby (book before you go for better prices) or you may fancy a splashing time in the award-winning water park in Paphos. Further abroad you may wish to visit the bustling capital city of Nicosia (park in a municipal car park, not a private one) where you will see the only remaining divided capital in the world. It's easy to cross into Turkish Cyprus, provided you take your passport. If you drive over the border you have to pay an insurance charge.
Kato Paphos / Universal District
Kato Paphos has a superb mix of activities that caters for all taste. There is an endless supply of restaurants to match all tastes and budgets. You may wish to dine in one of the chic harbour side restaurants, overlooking the castle, or you may prefer the livelier attractions in and around Bar Street. If you tire of the pool areas in the apartment complex you may wish to visit the public beach, which is about a 15 minute walk or a two minute drive. The old town has some fascinating walks and some decent shopping, with plenty of genuine Cypriot bars to refresh you.
How to get there
A variety of airlines, including Easyjet and Jet2 have regular flights to Paphos International Airport. The apartment, in the Universal area of Kato Paphos, is about 20 minutes from the airport by car. Taxis cost about 30 Euros and we can suggest car hire companies. In Cyprus you drive on the left. Car hire is not essential but if you want to explore the island a little it is very useful. Limassol is about 45 minutes away, while Larnaca and Nicosia are about 1hour and 40 minutes away. Lovely Coral Bay is about 15 minutes away.

Further details indoors: The apartment has a spacious lounge and dining area, with three piece faux leather suite, coffee table, TV, DVD player, dining table and four chairs, air conditioning and ceiling fan. The fitted kitchen has extensive cupboard space and granite work surfaces, electric oven with four hobs, fridge freezer, washing machine and spin dryer, microwave, kettle, toaster, iron and ironing board, clothes dryer and many more kitchen extras. All electrical appliances use standard British three-pin plugs. Continental adaptors are not needed. Both air conditioned bedrooms have extensive fitted wardrobes and cupboard space. The double bedroom has a king-sized bed and en-suite bathroom, while the twin room is beside a full sized family bathroom with both bath and shower. On the main balcony, overlooking one of the pools, is a patio table and chairs, plus ample room for sunbeds. There is a private car parking space.
