The Paphos region
Paphos enjoys a warm Mediterranean climate, with sunny, warm summers and short mild winters. Paphos guarantees more than 340 sunny days a year. However the cooler winter months make walking, cycling, playing golf ideal activities.
The tourist area of Kato Paphos is a 10 minute walk Here you will find a wide selection of bars, tavernas and clubs to suit all tastes and budget. There are also plenty of shops and well known names such as Debenhams, Next and Marks and Spencers.
The Kato Paphos / Limnaria Gardens area
There is something for everyone in Paphos and the surrounding areas. Paphos is an all year round resort so it never closes. Near by you can find a variety of sports activities such as go karting to fishing trips. We stayed in Limnaria Gardens at the end of September and had a most enjoyable stay. The second floor apartment is very spacious, well equipped and has a balcony with good view of the gardens and pools. The complex is quite large and we were concerned that the pool area would be noisy and busy; but at that time of the year it was very peaceful even though there were a few families with children. There are three pools and plenty of space for sunloungers. Each apartment has its own sunloungers, so there is no argument there, although there was a bit of a rush in the morning for the best spots, if that sort of thing bothers you. The complex is well positoned for local restaaurants and is a short walk from the seafront. There is a pleasant promenade in front of the large hotels so that you can walk into the harbour and Kato Pafos in about 15 minutes. Only downside, is that there is no welcome pack in the apartment, which is a nuisance if arriving on a late flight. |
