About the home

Relax around the pool, do some laps, then play a round of golf while the kids spend the day at the wakeboard lake. In the evening use the BBQ or get an exotic take-away from the local market. The evenings are so quiet as you are surrounded by 36 holes of golf.

This villa is equipped for long-term rental, so is well-equipped and comfortable for groups of up to 10. There are two living-rooms, so you can have privacy - and not fight over the TV. The pool is designed for swimming as well as lazing - it is 12m long, rectangular and 5' to 7' deep with a saline filter system, so no red eyes if you stay in it all day - or all night!

There is a large stainless BBQ, teak pool loungers and two 4-seater garden tables. With wireless broadband you can relax and stay in touch at the same time.

Well-furnished and well-equipped, you have great flexibility as well as space to relax in private. All three double bedrooms have daybeds to sleep kids or relax in the day. All rooms open onto the lush garden and pool. There is a full laundry room with washer/drier. PC printer and wireless broadband make this a great place to catch up with work while you relax.

The Phuket region

Phuket enjoys warm temperatures of between 26 and 36 degrees all year round. The 'High' season is December to April, when the easterly winds blow dry air. The wet season runs from May until the end of October. There are still long periods of sunshine each day as it tends to rain in the afternoon, so this can be a great time to visit Phuket as it is quieter, cheaper and cooler.

Phuket is a vacation dream, as you can be as relaxed or as busy as you wish. There are developed beaches and resorts, as well as quiet beaches and seaside hamlets. With local flea markets and mega-shopping malls, you have all the variety you need.

GOLFING: Phuket has many first class courses in excellent condition. Caddies are provided (and buggies if needed). Green fees are surprisingly low - ask us about finding discounts. There are 6 excellent golf clubs, with a total of 8 courses to choose from.

SAILING and CANOEING : there are many islands and beaches to visit, where you will invariably find a place selling delicious local food. Phang Nga Bay is one of the world's best sailing destinations, and we can help you charter a yacht for a magical trip. We are located 5 minutes from the Royal Phuket Marina and the Boat Lagoon, from where you can charter boats for day trips or longer. Most sailing charters are based in Chalong, which is a 20 minute drive away. Just ask us for help with taking a magical sailing break.

Rest assured there are excellent modern hospitals as well, as Phuket has a thriving inbound medical tourism market. So schedule that full health check you have been putting off forever while you are here!

The Kathu area

Kathu is in the central valley just over the hill from busy Patong. It has many of the activities that people drive to from the coast, such as golf, wakeboarding, go-karting, shooting and bungy-jumping.

Loch Palm and Red Mountain offer 36 holes of golf - the new Red Mountain course just has to be seen - and played (though it is expensive)! 10 minutes down the road is Phuket Country Club with 18 holes, plus an excellent 9 hole layout.

The wakeboard/waterski lake adjoins the golf course. It is a fun place to spend time, and popular all year round. There is a bar with soft drinks and snacks, so kids can be left there and well looked after.

On the same site as the lake is the shooting range, where enthusiasts can shoot just about any type of gun and rifle.

The popular Bungy Jump is in Kathu village - just down the road.

Go-kart fans have a choice of two good tracks opposite each other on the road to Patong - just 4 minutes away. Karts are available for kids, beginners as well as adults and the well-experienced.

There are local markets for clothes and gifts, as well as local food to take away in the evenings. Just 10 minutes drive to Tesco and Central Festival mega-mall, with their shops, restaurants, cinema complex etc..

Direct flights from Europe are mainly charters, but Finnair flies direct.
