About the home

The large lounge (seats 10)with satellite english tv leads into the kitchen whichs comes fully equipped with white goods, Granite worktops. There is a large downstairs shower room and Toilet. Air conditioning is included. The dining room has patio doors to the covered terrace. Upstairs, all the bedrooms have patio doors to the large balcony and views to the valley and mountains and fitted floor to ceiling wardrobes with sliding mirror doors.
The master bedroom has a dressing room with fitted wardrobes and en-suite with a Jacuzzi bath and two sets of patio doors.The upstairs family bathroom serves the other two double bedrooms; both have fitted wardrobes, patio doors to the balcony, 2 bedrooms have tvs. Outside the villa is a 10x5 infinity swimming pool, large patio area with sunbeds surrounding the pool for sunbathing with a jacuzzi at the far end and BBQ

The villa, has arched covered terraces, is located near Theletra which only 10 to 15 minutes drive away from Paphos, Latchi, Coral Bay. In all directions beaches are easily reached the blue flag Coral bay, Snorkelling at the Sea Caves and St Georges bay, the nature reserve at Lara beach and Akamas , Windsurfing at Latchi which also has a marina. The Villages of Kathikas and Strombi are less than 5 minutes drive which have Banks, supermartkets, restaurants, tavernas, Police station, wineries.

This beautiful, exclusive, private, bespoke, spacious, 3 bedroom villa, is located at Theletra heights with stunning views down the valley and across to the mountains and the sea.

The villa is situated on a large landscaped plot of over 5,500 m2. All the main rooms have views looking along the valley and hills with vineyards.

The main door is located in a covered porch, leads into the open plan large spacious lounge area, which has twin patio doors opening to the covered sun terrace which has stunning seasonal changing views of the valley and hills. The lounge has a wood burning stove fitted for the cooler winter evenings.The lounge leads into the kitchen past the breakfast bar. The kitchen comes fully equipped with white goods, Granite worktops dishwasher, ceramic hob and electric oven, hood, fridge freezer. There is a separate utility area with washing machine by the stairs and large downstairs toilet and shower room.

There is an outside door from the kitchen with a breakfast terrace and BBQ around the back of the villa. The dining room an outside door to the terrace with pergola overhead which leads to the 10×5 swimming pool. The infinity pool has a large patio area for sun beds, outside shower and Jacuzzi at the far end.
Outside the front door is a private tarmac drive with plenty of parking spaces.. The lower levels have been landscaped with an automatic watering system.

The Paphos region

The villa is only 10 to 15 minutes drive away from Paphos, Latchi, Coral Bay. In all directions beaches are easily reached the blue flag Coral bay, Snorkelling at the Sea Caves and St Georges bay, the nature reserve at Lara beach and Akamas , Windsurfing at Latchi which also has a marina. Paphos, the Capital of the west and positively teeming with history is Paphos, site of the island's second international airport. The resort town has as its focal point a charming fishing harbour by Paphos Fort, lined with open-air cafes and tavernas that serve a tempting menu of the day's catch. There are 3 golf courses around Paphos with two more opening shortly.

It was on Paphos shoreline that the mythological Goddess Aphrodite was born a legend that spawned a massive wave of cult worship from neighbouring countries that lasted several centuries. The large rock that juts from the sea is known as 'Petra tou Romiou' - The Venus Rock - while the Baths of Aphrodite at Polis also echoes her apparent penchant for the island. At Palaepafos, Koukiia lie the remains of the Goddess's earliest Sanctuary.

Another 'first' for Paphos was its early recognition of Christianity. While under Roman rule in 45 A.D., it was here that Saint Paul converted the first ruler to the faith.

The legacy from its remarkable history adds up to nothing less than an open museum, so much so that UNESCO simply added the whole town to its World Cultural Heritage List. Among the treasures unearthed, are the remarkable mosaics in the Houses of Dionysos, Theseus and Aion, beautifully preserved after 16 centuries under the soil. Then there are the mysterious vaults and caves, the Tombs of the Kings, the Pillar to which Saint Paul was allegedly tied and whipped, the ancient Odeon Theatre and other places of interest including the Byzantine Museum and the District Archaeological Museum.

Geroskipou with its remarkable five-domed Byzantine church of Agia Paraskevi, and its Folk Art Museum is a village known for many years now for its special delight 'loukoumi .

Ago Neofytos Monastery, famous for its 'Encleistra', Enclosure, carved out of the mountain by the hermit himself, boasts some of the finest Byzantine frescoes of the 12th and 15th centuries. Chrysorrogiatissa Monastery makes its own range of wines using home-grown grapes. A small museum dedicated to Archbishop Makarios, first president of Cyprus, is found at Pano Panagia. From here it is a rewarding drive to the majestic Cedar Valley, home of the indigenous Cyprus horned sheep, the Moufflon.

Lempa village can be singled out as one with particular historic significance. In its pretty setting near the sea, Lempa's link with prehistory is the site of a chalcolithic settlement. Today the faithful reconstruction of several dwellings, gives an insight into chalcolithic life on the island.

Further north lies the resort-town of Polis, overlooking the beautiful Chrysochou Bay with its charming fishing refuge of Latsi. The relatively unspoilt state of the countryside and villages make the area a real delight for the walker and naturalist.

The low-lying scenery around Paphos, much of it cultivated with banana plantations and backed by the gentle foothills of the western Troodos range, has an attractively open quality to it. This is the gateway to the Peninsula of Akamas, a natural wilderness of incredible beauty with breathtaking gorges, spectacular coastlines and enjoyable nature trails.

The Kathikas / Theletra area

The villa is situated mid-way between Paphos, Latchi and coral Bay. Close to the Akamas peninsula. Kathikas village retains its rural charm has a bank, post office, small supermarkets, restaurants. The village is also home to a donkey sanctuary and a tourist information cent,with Strombi has a bakery and Police station. The area is surrounded by vineyards which supports the two award winning wineries. There two reservoirs close by Evretou and Mavrokolympos where you can go fishing, whilst the nearest golf course is at the newly refurbished Tsada (10 minutes). Two other courses within easy driving distance includes the new Nick Faldo designed course which has just opened.

“Nice Villa with exellent facities and fantastic view.” Think the title says it all really. Roger is an exellent guy to comunicate with and replies to e-mails promptly. The only thing that let us down was the particularly cold weather the whole of europe (not just Cyprus) was experiencing. Still, we took a chance going on holiday in Febuary. Villa is on the north facing side of the hill with an fantastic view of the countryside. Villa has all the mod-con's you would expect and has a safe, whirlpool bath wi-fi and I believe the villa now has central heating too. Ideal for larger families too as there are 3 bedrooms so easily accomodates 6 persons. 10 mins from Corral Bay, 30 mins from PFO by car. Also parking for at least 3 cars outside front of Villa. Highly recommended.

“Fantastic villa in beautiful location” Recently returned home from one week's stay wishing we had booked for longer. The villa is stunning with no visible neighbours, the most amazing views and being only a short drive from local amenities and only slightly further to Paphos and Polis. The villa was even nicer in the "flesh" than the photos on the website. We all had a most enjoyable, peaceful and relaxing time and hope to go back again soon.

“PERFECT VILLA... PERFECT LOCATION... PERFECT EVERYTHING...” I have stayed at Villa Vouno Thea 3 times in a 1year period and I'll probably return many more times. Roger and Catherine made hiring the villa very stress free, Roger was always very prompt when replying to my e-mails with any questions or queries I had. The villa is set in a fantastic location it's only a 30 minute drive from the airport but it's completely private with no visible neighbours. It's only a few minutes drive to the local shop and a 15/20 minute drive to the main road with many many more shops. This was the perfect villa for myself, my friends and family to go to completely chill out. There were 7 of us staying on my first visit there,it wasn't at all cramped and the sofa beds were actually very comfortable. The view is breathtaking and the pictures really don't do it any justice. I would recommend this villa to a wide range of travellers, if you're looking for somewhere to go away to just relax and do nothing it's perfect but there is also plenty to do and see if you did want to venture out! The pool is excellent and the hot tub was used many times in the evenings. The BBQ is great but I would recommend using it before it gets too dark as the lights around the outside dining area don't provide light for the BBQ. The pool maintenance man visits twice a week and is no bother at all, in fact he was very helpful when it came to answering our questions about the area. A car is a must when renting this villa but this isn't too expensive and on each visit we found Car hire 3000 to be the cheapest.

“Luxury Accommodation, complete privacy and amazing scenery” This amazing property was the best we have stayed in for years. We loved the remote look of the property, but it has very easy quick access from the coast, good roads and is situated just off the main road. Large car parking area/barbeque area. The Swimming Pool is wonderful and has amazing views over the landscape to the mountains. Lovely comfy large sofas outside overlooking the pool. No one overlooks you at all and is very peaceful. The villa itself has a very large kitchen/lounge, with luxury furniture/sofas and has big windows and blinds on all sides. Kitchen has everything you need, dishwasher, full cooker and hobs, washer. Huge dining room solid wood table and chairs and nice breakfast bar, great for larger groups to spread out. Cool marble floors and staircase to the upstairs bedrooms, 2 twin bedrooms with shared bathroom and master bedroom with dressing room with huge built-in wardrobes and seperate bathroom with jaccuzi bath (which unfortunately leaked and could not be used, although manager arrived and knew what the problem was). TV in bedrooms did not always seem to work but main one in living room worked fine. Lots of airconditioning which was good. Nice balcony looking towards the mountains which the bedrooms share through sliding doors, furnished with nice sofas again. I would recommend this property for those wanting a complete chill out, reading by the pool, bbq and destressing with a chilled glass of something, but also for those who want a beautiful base to visit south and west coast beaches, hire boats at Latchi and visit the Troodos Mountains. Perfect situation without having the tourist strip in your vicinity, but 10/15 mins drive to Coral Bay and restaurants (south) and Latchi harbour and deserted beaches (west). Small villages are close by the villa with traditional tavernas with huge menus offering excellent food. Very popular and booking advisable. Small local supermarket in tiny village 5 mins away or do a big shop at the huge hypermarket 15 mins away. Pool maintenance man was discrete and regular and the management couple were only a phonecall away and were quick to respond. We did have a couple of powercuts (take a torch, only the moon and stars), but the trip in the box on the driveway once located was easy to put back on. What more can I say? Response: Thank you for your kind review, you were one of the first guests to stay at our new Villa and with all brand new things, there may be some teething problems. There seems to be a design fault with the bath hose housing catching the hose when retracting it which caused the leak. We are sorry that Ray hadn't replaced it for your stay. The electric has been upgraded to three phase as it seems that single phase in Cyprus isn't stronger enough with the jacuzzi, pool, several air con units etc We hope you may return in the near future to see the new landscaping and planting which has been done over the winter in the garden

“What a view!” Wonderful location, beautiful secluded villa, spotlessly clean and all amenities provided that you would require for your stay. Added bonus of hot tub and infinity pool with views to die for. On cooler nights the wood burning stove was just what was needed and added a cosy touch. Roger and Catherine were both perfect hosts from start to finish and were on hand to answer any questions throughout. Would recommend for familes/groups. Also recommend a treatment at the spa down the road, a nice treat to add to the holiday. Plenty of local villages to visit and excellent tavernas. Visited both Sterna Winery and Vaskillion, would recommend the Vaskillion dry white, most local restaurants advised this was the favourite/most popular. Lots to see around the villa and nice walks to walk off all those mezes!

“One of the best villas we have stayed in” My husband & I have a rather hectic work life at home in the Uk so we quite often opt for a luxury villa rather than a hotel for our holidays, were are quite picky & I often spend endless hours on trip advisor checking reviews before going anywhere. We saw this villa on holiday lettings website, I must say the pictures really didnt show how fantastic the villa really is. We have stayed in several in Paphos and this is definatly the best. There was plenty of space, all home comforts you would need, the lounge was massive with several sofas, patio doors which opened out to the most spectacular views, the pool was great, we used the hot tub most evenings, which looked lovely all lit up. There is satalite tv, channels are a bit hit & miss to be honest but we only watched tv in the evenings after putting the kids to bed & there was a good selection of dvds for you to use if the signal was playing up. The house was ready for our arrival, all clean bedding & towells, some bathroom products. There was a pack of all the basics that you would need until you got to the supermarket, tea, milk, sugar ect. The owners kept in contact with us & sent us detailed information on how to find the villa on arrival day, there were also contact numbers for people in Paphos if we needed anything once we arrived. we used the contact, asking for wood one night for the fire in the front room and the guy was there later that evening, so no waiting around. Overall a brilliant villa, at a good price & we will definatly book again soon.
