About the home

A beautiful villa set on a slope leading down towards the sea. The villa is set on three levels with the entrance at the top level. There is a small bedroom on that level with a queen size bed done in the Thai style with wooden walls and ceiling and a terracotta floor. Steps lead down to the middle level where there are 2 bedrooms, a large one with a king size bed, with wood floor and a vaulted wooden ceiling in Thai style. It is complimented with a lovely balcony and great views of the sea. Next to it is a smaller more modern bedroom with a queen size bed and terracotta floors. It has a large window looking out to a jungle style garden. Also on that level is an air-conditioned dining/sitting room with a balcony with a glorious view and a pantry for guests use. Hidden behind a raised garden are the main kitchen, laundry facilities and servants quarters. From that level steps lead down to the lower level where there is a modern air-conditioned bedroom with a king size bed. Also on that level is the Entertainment room which houses the computer and entertainment systems and TV. It has its own fridge and a wine cooler. On that level is the swimming pool with its swim up bar and seats in the water. The bar is "L" shaped with one side facing the swimming pool and the other being for "dry" guests. The swimming pool is a salt water solution filter system which is very pleasant to swim in without the problems of chlorine based pools. That level also has a balcony the sits high above the jungle and rocks and is perfect for sitting out under the tropical stars. It is also a nice area to dine out.

Full music and entertainment system allows music to be piped to either the main entertainment room or the garden or the bar area. The house has an internet connected, 56", flat screen, 3-D TV with a Skype video system. The two main bedrooms have monitors, one of which has TV. There is a pantry available for guests use, for making snacks or drinks and if they wish they can use the main kitchen. The maid will also willing to teach guests how to prepare famous Thai dishes. The maid also does all the grocery shopping, leaving the guests free to enjoy themselves. All meals and drinks consumed on the premises are supplied at market price. The house is fully serviced and all towels and linen are provided.

The villa is located in one of the original luxury developments of Phuket, which provides its own security. The swimming pool is a maximum depth of 5 feet and is kidney shaped. It has a swim-up bar with three seats and there is an addition underwater seat against the overflow wall. The pool has hand made tiles of colours inspired by David Hockney's LA pools. The main pool overflows into a lower pool that has jacuzzi style jets. The lower pool is much shallower being about 3 feet deep. The main pool has underwater lights and looks very nice at night.

This is a tropical home and most of the time of the guests will be spent outdoors. We ask guests not to smoke in the rooms as smoking outside is so convenient. We also ask guests to turn off the air-conditioners in their bedrooms when they are not there. The entertainment room has air-conditioning on 24/7 so there is always somewhere comfortable in the villa to cool off during the day.

50% deposit at time of booking balance 2 weeks prior to arrival (non-refundable, but open for negotiation. Payment preferred direct to bank account (Details given on request) but Paypal acceptable for late bookings. Bookings are confirmed only after receipt of deposit.

The Phuket region

Tropical Island that has become a hugely successful holiday location in the last 30 years. Previously Phuket was a quiet island with its industries of tin mining and rubber plantations. two seasons really characterise Phuket, the dry season traditionally from November to April starting cool and dry and slowly getting warmer and more humid, and the rainy season from May to November, but the rain never really gets to be more than quick showers until later in that season. In the dry season the wind comes from the North East which means the seas and the west coast are calm and nice to swim in, however in the rainy season, the wind comes from the South West and the sea on the west becomes rougher and unsafe to swim in. Any one wishing to hire a car or motorbike should ensure they have an International driving permit with them.

The Kata Beach area

Its a small headland and the two beaches to the north and south are a short walk away. The shore of the headland is made up of granite boulders which make an interesting walk and the locals like to fish from them.
The beaches are of beautiful sand and were voted 6th in the top 10 beaches of Asia in 2012 by Tripadvisor customers. From Kata beach you can parasail, or hire a jet ski. Scuba diving is popular and lessons are available. Sometimes at night you can see the lights of night divers under the water from the balcony of the villa. There are many excellent restaurants nearby in Kata and Kata Noi plus all the activities you might associate with a popular tourist destination. There are shows for grown ups and the kids and many interesting tours and activities. Many sports from go-karting, to golf, sailing, boating and game fishing etc.,are also popular and can be arranged. Massages are available in the villa but there are also many health spas around. Phuket has an excellent reputation for medical vacations and has excellent medical facilities. However medical assistance must be paid for and it is recommended that visitors to Phuket arrange medical insurance before coming.
