The Turquoise Coast/Lycia region
The serpentine road from Kalkan to Kas passes glittering inlets dotted with pebble beaches and the famous sandy Kaputas beach. The sunken city of Kekova on a glass bottomed boat is a must. The Blue caves, 15km from Kas, are the Mediterranean's only seal colony.
The Kas area
Kaş hosts a national arts festival every year for 3 days at the end of June. There is a dolphin park where you can swim with the dolphins and watch a dolphin show. Kas is an excellent location for diving and snorkelling with many diving trips on offer. The town has many historical sights including the ruins of the Hellenistic theater.Sandwiched between sea and mountains, cosmopolitan Kaş is refreshingly hassle-free. İts Quaint streets are lined with tasteful bars, bistros and excellent restaurants. The peninsula curves around from one side of the towns harbor, creating a calm, rock-lined lagoon ideal for swimming.
