Home description

The villa Ikizler or twin villas have their own private gardens overlooking sea, the Greek island Castellorizo and other small Turkish islands, situated 5 km from Kas downtown. The Villa is located just 10 minutes walk to sea with a private trail. There is a private platform to get into the sea.
The house has a double living room with a Western furnished side and a Turkish furnished side, 2 double bedrooms, 1 children bedroom and two shower/bathrooms. The "Turkish salonu" can offer extra bed capacity for two persons occasionally. Large cupboards in every bedroom plus cloakroom/wc at the main entrance. Every room has stunning sea view terraces or balconies. Large fully furnished and equipped Siemens kitchen, separate wash-room with extra refrigerator/freezer.
The large and landscaped gardens and the 12m long pool are shared with the other twin villas. The main garden terrace includes a covered dining room and a private barbeque area with working oven/barbeque. The villa has a car port.

There is a colour tv with satellite receiver in the Turkish living room. The modern kitchen has built in fridge and freezer, built in dish washer, electric oven and hob and ceramic-glass cooker. In the wash room which is next to the kitchen there is a large fridge/freezer and washing machine. All floors throughout are white marble tiled, and are air conditioned.

The location is extremely peaceful and picturesque with amazing views over the Mediterranean. Just a few minutes walk away is the Meis hotel where guests can dine or have drinks at extremely reasonable prices and have the use of the private beach/jetty facilities. There is a gardener/ pool man who will also bring fresh bread each morning for breakfast . We provide a weekly housekeeper. Extra cleaning can be arranged at additional charge.

The Turquoise Coast/Lycia region

The Lycian province offers both picturesque sea and mountain landscapes. On the seaside, there numerous beautiful sites such as Patara beach (12km long sans beach with turtles) and its historical park, Kekova island and Simena castle, Kaputash beach and creek and last but not least the Greek island of Castellorizo just facing the Kas Peninsula.

On the country side, you can visit Saklikent canyon (60 km from Kas), go to the Green Lake on the Taurus mountain by a wonderful road through a ceder forest overlooking the Gömbe valley (40 km). Typical Mediterranean climate with mid-cool winter, warm spring, hot summer and warm pleasant Autumn.

Kas area

In Kas, the mountain "falls into" the sea. There are however several large sand or peble beaches (Kas down-town, Limanagzi, Gözeki) in the Kas area within a few kms from the Villa Ikizler. Old Lycian graves, a Greek temple and a Greek theatre remind you that Ancient Greek people lived there. Kas is not invaded by mass turism but is very lively during summer time including by night where you can enjoy live music from the Turkish classical music to 21st century music in the large choice of bars/clubs.

Summer festival (dance, songs) in July. Kas neighbourhood is famous for sailing and scuba diving as the water is "cristalline" - really clean. Paragliding, jet ski and numerous boat trips along ther Lycian coast are offered. There is a good choice of refined restaurants among the numerous existing ones.

How to get there

Two potential airports in the Lycian Region: Antalya and Dalaman. All major rental car companies are available at both airports.
Antalya airport: 200 km NE from Kas - 3h transfer by car or minibus
Dalaman airport: 150km W from Kas - 2h transfer by car or minibus.

The Garden fdllor has three private terraces:
1. one fully shuttered, facing the rosery, which we use as a dining room during all seasons except winter.
2. the second in L shape with the barbeque along the wall
3. the third one, three steps beneath thev second one which is partially shuttered by the garden's trees.

Conditions

Rent with an additionnal one week deposit to be paid before the 1st day of rental. The deposit will be paid back on the last day after inventory.
