About the home

When my wife and me first came to Kas in 2002 we instantly fell in love with Kas.

Kas is a small village with much charme and without any mass tourism. It has preserved its original flair and offers lots of tiny places to sit, eat or just relax.

People who visit Kas are individualists who are interested in sports, romanticism and culture or want to combine a little bit of it all.

When we in 2004 decided to later completely settle down in Kas we built an appartment which we successfully rent since then.

In 2010 we started our project to build this house. In total it comes whith 200 sqm living space and a spacious outside area.

It is subdivided in two units of which one is Villa Kekova and the other one is Villa Simena.

The house is only built with natural materials like stone, wood and metal. All materials are ecologically correct. It was our intention to built in accordance with the surrounding nature whilst offering our guests the maximum in standard they expect.

Each of the both units has 100 sqm living space and its own open fireplace, outside shower, private sitting area and barbecue. The 4 x 8 m pool is shared by both units. Both houses have a perfect sea view.

Surrounded is the Villa by a beautiful garden. We designed it in a way that it is completely fitting into the nature arround. We are pretty much sure you will like it.

The outside area is spacious and is equipped with deck chairs for perfect comfort enjoying the sun that normally shines all day.

In summertime you will enjoy a glass of wine on your terrace watching the boats going by and listening to the sound of nature.

In autumn and winter times the Villa is perfect to relax inside with its open fireplace which keeps it warm and romantic.

Most of the lights in both villas are original Osman style and will let you feel that you are really visiting the orient.

And if you look for entertainment you will enjoy the HD TV set or use the DVD player which is available in both houses to watch your own films.

Villa Kekova as well as Villa Simena are nearly identically furnished and equipped. Only the hammock belongs to Villa Kekova whilest Villa Simena comes with an original Osman sitting corner. However all amenities can be used by all guests in accordance with each other.

Facilities

Further details indoors:
Nearly all lights in the rooms are original Osman style and will give you this feeling of 1001 nights.

An iPod Docking Station is available in the house.

A playstation2 is available including various games.

The Living area as well as both sleeping rooms are air-conditioned.

In the Living room you will find the Hot- / Cold- water dispenser quite practical.

At winter times you may want to use the open fire place (with care).

Further details outdoors:
The outside terrace is about 150 sqm big. Parts are shared between Villa Kekova and Villa Simena.

Other parts are private and cannot be watched by guests living in the other house.

3 Deckchairs as well as the hammock are part of Villa Kekova.

Villa Kekova offers sleeping opportunities for up to 6 people. However it has 2 double beds which means that 2 guests have to use the 2 couches to sleep on. For each person more than 4 we charge 5 € per day extra. On the couches we only accept non-adult people.


Please note that the swimming pool is operated in the months April to October only.

Usage of the pool is on own risk and we do not assume responsibility for any injuries that might occur. Parents are responsible for their children.

It is key to follow the pool rules that are available at the pool.

If you want to use one of the fireplaces please make sure that you always provide enough fresh air in the fireplace as well as in the room and make sure that glass doors are shut during operation. Again we do not assume responsibility for injuries which are caused by wrong usage.

Smoking is only allowed on the balconies and terraces.

For using the Internet we charge an extra of 30 Euro one time.

For the end cleaning we charge 100 Euro which have to be paid on departure to our caretaker.

The Turquoise Coast/Lycia region

The Lycian coast has been occupied by mankind since long before Christ. So it is a very historic place with lots of cultural monuments which are worth wile to be visited. More over the Lycian coast offers a great nature.

We recommend to at least visit Patara (great sandy turtle beach), Tlos (ancient ruin built into the mountain), Saklikent (great canyon with waterfalls) and Fethyie (very nice city with the opportunity to visit the Greek island of Rhodes by ferry)

The Kas area

Kas can not be compared to big Turkish tourist areas like Antalya or Alanya.

Kas is different. Kas is romantic.

There are no big hotels here but shops and small restaurants.

Kas has its own amphitheatre and interesting sarcophagus can be found nearly everywhere.

The famous Lycian hyke path is passing Kas. And If you follow it for just a few kilometres you will find cavern graves of ancient times that have been built into the stone of the mountains.

More over we recommend Kas as place for people who like sports like Diving, Hiking, Paragliding, Fishing or Canooing.

There are several ways to come to Kas either from the airport Dalaman, or the airport Antalya.

1. You can take a bus from the airport into the city's central bus station and from there take an overland bus to Kas. This is the option which is the less expensive on.

2. You rent a car at the airport and drive to Kas by yourself. From Antalya you need to take the route over Tekirova, Kemer, Komluca, Finike and Demre. From Dalaman you take the route over Fethyie, Kalkan.

3. You drive to Kas by Taxi, which will actually cost you around 120 Euro one way.

4. We can organise private transfer for you. This will cost you 75 Euro one way.
