The Turkish Mediterranean Coast region
In addition to the abundance of history found around Kas, the town also offers numerous opportunities to take up sports in natural surroundings, such as trekking, mountain climbing and rafting. For those that wish to be left alone with nature, the natural choice is to check out Yesil Lake and Ucansunsu Waterfalls, both of which are found in Gombe. Gombe is at the bottom of Akdag, 70 kilometers outside Kas. .After the Kizlar Point, Akdag is the highest summit in the Western Taurus Mountains. The small lakes found here are nature's spellbinding parts. There is the ancient city of Chomba in Gombe, where at a distance of 13 kilometers from here lies the ancient city of Nisa in Meryemlik, near Siitlegen. One can encounter tombs. an agora and ruins of a theater. The ancient town of Candyba is situated near the town.
Kas located in the east Lycian coast is much less indented than for instance the Carian coast, yet the stretch of coastline between Kalkan and Finike does offer quite a few must-see secluded coves and bays. Like the west Lycian coast its terrain is rather mountainous and inaccessible.
The area is famed for its blue translucent seas and certainly less crowded than the Marmaris and Fetiye area.
In this remote region the sites of over thirty cities have been found which allows us to study the culture of the Lycians. The most obvious features of the Lycian landscape are the tombs and sarcophagi left behind.
Diving, hiking and fishing are the most popular activities around Kas. A jeep safari is a fun activity on dusty runways through the Toros-mountains. You will discover things which you would not imagine.
The weather is beautiful all year round and turquoise water makes you never leave this area.
The Lycian coast runs between Fethiye and just east of Kas. It is advised worth going on a boat trip to the ancient Lycian city of Kekova, the remains of which are under water. It is magnificent for nature lovers who want to hike and then take a cool dip in the Mediterranean Sea. Many historical treasures both on land and under water.
The climate of Southern Turkey is very mild and generally warm until end of November. You can still swim almost in December. Kas is famous for its easy living ambiance and because it is far away from crowded cities. Kas has its unique charm, ruins of the ancient town of Antiphellus and an unspoiled fishing village.

"Peaceful location and makes you relax"
We arrived late at night, Mehmet was there to welcome us and show us round. It was in the morning when we first saw the stunning views. The villa is in a nice peaceful location and makes you relax. We loved the villa and soaked up the sun all day, particularly loved the views from the infinity pool. The villa is simply fantastic....beds are comfortable, great value for the price paid. It was the best holiday and greatly looking forward to going back to the villa and visiting Kas again. Kas itself has lots of great restaurants and shops.
I am very happy to hear that your expectations were met and enjoyed the villa and Kas. Looking forward to seeing you again.

"Lovely villa - great views and location"
A very well located stonefronted villa with nice private pool, pretty balconies and fabulous views towards Meis Island -(best side of the peninsula). Villa Yildiz is quiet and feels secluded but is actually just a short dolmus ride from the bustle of Kas so you get the best of both worlds. We were glad for once not to have to drive and the great and cheap dolmus service (minbuses) mean you really don't feel you need a car to get around. Kas itself is lovely - very friendly and has its own community and vibe. We popped into Kalkan one day which felt soulless and mercenary in comparison - seemed like everything was totally orientated towards tourists whereas Kas has a life outside of tourism with a lively square where the locals gather. As well as normal supermarkets there are plenty of craft shops for your hamman towels and painted ceramics and tiles plus good restaurants (notably Mercan - the oldest in Kas) and a fantastic market on Fridays with local produce, oils, spices and honey. There is quite a steep slope up to the villa which could be difficult for some but otherwise this is the perfect base to enjoy the tranquility of the peninsula and the buzz and spirit of the Turkish people in Kas.
Thanks for your kind remarks, looking forward to welcome you again. All the best.

Villa yildiz was one the best property I ever rent. Amazing views, See and greek island on one Side, Taurus Mountains on the other side. You can enjoy it from the nice swimming pool. Kas (5 min drive) is a really lovely place with many activities such as diving, paragliding, canyoning, hiking... Very nice welcome, Mehmet who's in charge of the garden would be ever here for you. nothing missed in that house. Sure that if i had to go there again, i would make the same choice. a haven of peace.
Hi, Thanks for your kind remarks, hope to see you in Kas someday. All the best

"Superb Holiday !!"
Me and my Family have just returned from Kas after staying at Villa Yildiz Orhan our host could not have done anymore for us than he did we are very grateful to him for his hospitality. Villa Yildiz is located on the Peninsula and is only a 10 minute bus ride into Kas, The bus stop is at the foot of the hill of the villa and runs every 30 minutes We enjoyed our stay at villa Yildiz and would certainly recommend villa Yildiz to anyone wishing to stay in a private / secluded area away from the hustle and bustle of town life. The views from the villa are quite breath taking and even watching the sun set across the mountains is some thing you will never forget. If you are thinking of doing a transfer from the Airport I would strongly recommend you use a company from Kas because they will know the area and if you use an alternative company you will end up getting lost I am already missing Villa Yildiz and the weather and the views and the way of life, we are already looking at another holiday to go back possibly again next year Many Thanks Again Orhan
I am very happy to hear that your expectations were met and enjoyed the villa and Kas. Looking forward to seeing you.
