Home description
This is unspoilt Northern Cyprus. The villa, is in Karsiyaka, near Lapta, about 10 miles from Kyrenia. Flanked by mountains and over-looking the sea, if you want to get away from the hustle and bustle of Britain there's no better way. There are water sports, walks, castles and monastries steeped in history, as well as a wealth of flora and fauna at different times of the year. If you want the quiet life then the villa has a private pool and an established garden with a patio area, just lie back and soak up the sun in the long hot summers. The winters here are short and mild with temperatures rarely below 10 degrees centigrade. If you want to explore or take trips out there are many places to see. Brochures are in the information pack or there is a Travel Information office in the harbour area of Kyrenia. For venturing further you really would be advised to hire a car, the company we recommend are very good and reasonably priced. There are various beaches within easy reach of the villa, Escape and Barcode being a very popular.

The Kyrenia District
"The Jewel of the Mediterranean" an unspoilt haven, this is North Cyprus. Steeped in history, warm, welcoming local people with a great love of food. There is an ancient culture in this hospitable country that once you have the good fortune to sample it, you never want to leave. GIRNE (KYRENIA). The harbour is the place to be, just sit in one of the many restaurants, sample the local cuisine and relax and you'll feel a part of something that you can't find at home. If you enjoy fishing try taking a boat trip from the harbour, a wonderful way to spend a day. BELLAPAIS Charming narrow streets with traditional local shops situated halfway up the hillside. Take in the views of the Kyrenia coast flanked by magnificent a mountain range. Restaurants over looking the harbour at night are very popular. BOGAZ North of Famagusta you'll find this fishing village. A mountainous backdrop to golden beaches make this a popular area - peaceful and tranquil, just the place for eating locally caught fish in the harbour restaurants. KARPAS A 90 minute car drive from Kyrenia is "The Panhandle" Karpas, this is unspoilt Cyprus, a must visit magical region.
Karsiyaka area
Kyrenia(Girne) has some a wide selection of shops from curtain makers to fruit and vegetables. Karsiyaka, our own village, here you can find traditional menus in local restaurants by friendly local people. The food is a must try. For the more adventureous you can travel the length of the mountains. Up in the mountains there are churches, monastries and castles all to be explored. There are also secluded beaches or if prefered walks to take you places you didn't know existed. If you enjoy relaxation and beauty treatments, maybe a massage, there is a local Spa, why not treat yourself. Details of these and other excursions can be found in the Information Book.
How to get there
Flights from Heathrow, Gatwick, Stansted and Manchester and now Luton. Fly to Ercan, taxi to villa approx 50 mins Fly to Larnaca (Southern Cyprus) take taxi to villa approx one and half hours. If you need help with flights, taxis or car hire we are only too pleased to assist you.

Further details indoors: Please feel free to bring your own DVDs, for those who enjoy games there is a small selection and also books.There are various excursions within easy reach, brochures for some are available in the villa. There are supermarkets on the main road to Kyrenia, Fresco, Lemar, Tempo, Fastia and Starlings, and in Kyrenia, Astro all are very good . Familiar brands can be found in most supermarkets. You can find english newspapers should you want them.
There will be a 19ltr Bottle of Water supplied, the empty Bottle should be taken to the shop next-door, where a replacement can be purchased for a few lira, they also supply gas bottles for the BBQ.
We supply a Welcome Pack to start your holiday, this comprises of: Bread, Butter, Jam, Tea, Small Coffee, Sugar, Carton of Orange Juice, and Biscuits, if you wish to add to this, please contact the owner, the cost of the extras will be charged.
Bedding and towels will be changed after the first week of a two week holiday. There is a gardener that comes twice a week, a man also visits to keep up the maintainance of the pool.

Jasmine is a non smoking house so please be good enough to do so out of doors and use the ash cans provided, which will also be cleared as required. Thank you.

The 10 x 5 metre overflow pool is a non-chemical system,(kind to those with some skin complaints), which is entered via inbuilt steps.

Please supply your own beach towels for use in the pool and on the beach.
The pool is not fenced in, therefore we do insist that children should be supervised at all times; and please No Diving.
On the occasions when guests are departing and arriving on the same day, the villa will be available from 15.00, therefore guests must be vacated by 10.00. You will be advised of this in advance of arrival.
Conditions
As the Villa has Central Heating why not have a Winter Break? There are organised local walks for those that enjoy the countryside. As well as the fabulous scenery there is the plants ie, wild orchids and the wild life ie, butterflies.
No pets allowed.
There is a refundable Breakages Deposit of £200.00, payable to our representative on arrival (either english or lira is acceptable), Sorry no cheques. This will be posted to your home address at the end of your holiday, (subject to a satisfactory inspection of the property).

Some months have passed since Jan and I visited your lovely villa, I have to say you have made a a really comfortable house out there. We visited Escape Beach it's the place for a wonderful english breakfast if that's what you want - without the washing-up. The house is well equipped and we wanted for nothing. We fully recommend it. Just a short note of thanks for allowing us to rent your beautiful villa. It was everything we could have wished for and more - the quiet location being just what we wanted although having spent 3 weeks relaxing, it's very hard to adjust to being back to reality!
