The two villages are 7 kms apart, hugging the Hohen Tauern mountain range, and surrounded by the ski-mountain- peaks of Kitzsteinhorn (3.203 m ), Schmittenhöhe (2.000 m ) und Maiskogel (1.675 m). this region guarantees pure FUN!

Beginners on skis or carving pros - all winter sports fans will simply feel spoilt by 138 kilometres of downhill runs, spread out over 57 different pistes. The easy ones, marked in blue, are especially suitable for beginners. People who like it more active choose from 49 kilometres of red runs or opt for the slopes of the black category which are really hard to master.

Kaprun, the little Mecca of the Alps, is located at the foot of the Kitzsteinhorn-Glacier. Every year people from all over the world come to Kaprun.
