Home description

The Esperance is a brand new, ground floor apartment located within a small development just off the main road of Kapparis. It’s a short walk to one of the most beautiful bays on the island - Fireman’s Beach and a couple of minutes walk to a large range of restaurants, shops and bars.

The Esperance has two private terraces. Its rear terrace has a four-seater outdoor setting covered by a beautiful wooden pergola, this terrace overlooks the communal swimming pool. The front terrace is huge, with two XL parasols covering the 6-seater outdoor setting and sun-loungers.

The quiet location has the distinct advantage of having beaches and amenities within a short walk and the larger resorts a quick drive away. Aside from the local more secluded beaches, the famous Fig Tree Bay in Protaras, Konnos Bay in Cape Greko and Nissi Beach in Ayia Napa are all between 5 and 15min drive from the apartment.

The Famagusta District

The Famagusta District is the most visited area of Cyprus and includes Kapparis, Protaras, Paralimni, Cape Greko and Ayia Napa. The district’s on the east coast of Cyprus and is most widely known for its fantastic beaches. The benefit to holidaymakers is that it offers so many things to do, even the most active visitor won't be able to see it all!.

With the famous Nissi Beach (Ayia Napa), Konnos Bay (Cape Greko) and Fig Tree Bay (Protaras), your sand and tan needs will be satisfied. Paralimni, the administrative centre of the district offers the old and new, with a lovely town square skirted by fabulous cafes and overlooked by the ancient church. Protaras is a family friendly resort with plenty of restaurants with a lovely long beach stetching along the coast. Ayia Napa – the most well known resort to British tourists – has wonderful, white sandy beaches, a water park and museums and galleries. It also has lively nightlife and some of the best restaurants on the island.


Kapparis area

Kapparis is situated at the beginning of a string of sandy coves and beaches on the east coast. It’s an up and coming, year-round resort which offers visitors fantastic beaches and restaurants along with all other amenities, without the crowds of some of the bigger resorts.

The closest – and one of the best beaches on the east coast – is Firemans Bay, which is a 5 minute walk from The Esperance. If you’d like to explore the coastline, take a scenic walk along the coastline from Firemans Bay to more secluded coves, bays and beaches, also offering majestic crystal-clear water.

Ayia Napa, the large tourist resort is about 15 minutes by car. It has a very lively nightlife, great restaurants and one of the biggest water parks in Europe. It also has the famous Nissi Beach, which we highly recommend during your stay. Protaras, the family friendly resort about 5 minutes away provides similar attractions to Ayia Napa, only on a smaller scale. It’s a seasonal resort great for a meal and a night out, or just to visit the famous Fig Tree Bay for a swim.

You can fly direct to Cyprus from most major airports in the UK. Several of the budget airlines now have direct flights into the country. There are two international airports servicing Cyprus although we recommend flying into the main airport Larnaca, which is 65kms (40min drive) away. The other airport in Paphos is still very accessible but allow 2hrs for the drive.

Airlines which offer scheduled flights include British Airways (www.britishairways.com) and Cyprus Airways (www.cyprusairways.com), Monarch Airways (www.flymonarch.com) and EuroCypria Airlines (http://www.eurocypria.com). There are a number of airlines offering charter flights, making Cyprus very accessible at any time of year.

We strongly recommend hiring a car when holidaying in Cyprus. Apart from being very cheap, you drive on the left-hand side of the road and hiring a car gives you access to everything Cyprus has to offer. You can hire a car from the airports, or if you only want a car for part of your holiday, there are several car hire companies in Kapparis, Pernera and Protaras.

We can arrange for a hire car to be ready for your arrival, or to be dropped off at the apartment if you prefer.

If you prefer not to drive, there are always taxis available from the airport.

We decided to make 'The Esperance' apartment as luxurious as possible. Our idea was to provide the best possible accommodation so you'll want to come back and tell your friends about the apartment you stayed in. We hope you like it!

We have installed a wall-mounted, flat-screen TV with satellite stations. The beautiful leather sofas and beds are brand new and the most luxurious and comfortable we could find. We've also added some extras to help make your stay more enjoyable. which include a large sandwich press and a portable CD player. All other mod-cons you would expect from a luxury apartment are provided.

Further details outdoors:
The Esperance has two private terraces. The front terrace is the larger of the two and has a 6-seater outdoor setting with 2 sun lounges to make the most of Cyprus' year-round sunshine. It also has two XL Parasols and a wooden fence to ensure privacy and safety. The area is fully tiled except where a lovely border garden is, with palms has been planted to give it a great, holiday feel.

The rear terrace has just has had a wooden pergola built and is now a fantastic spot, with great views across to the swimming pool. It's has a 4-seater setting and has enough room to put both the sun lounges if you wish.

Price changes will not affect weeks booked which are paid in full prior to date of change.
Access to property after 4pm (Cyprus time) on date of arrival. Departure prior to 11am (Cyprus time) on date of departure unless alternative arrangements made.
A 25% non-refundable deposit to be paid on confirmation of booking and balance to be paid at least 8 weeks before date of arrival.
A refundable accident/breakages deposit is required for all bookings and is due at time of balance payment. This will be refunded within 2 weeks of departure, less deductions for any losses, damages and breakages.
Special rates apply to long lets (3 weeks or more).
