The Famagusta District
The Famagusta District is made up of Famagusta town, Paralimni, Kapparis, Protaras, Ayia Napa, Cape Greko and Deryneia. The district is situated on the south-east cost of Cyprus and boasts some of the most beautiful golden sandy beaches and turquoise waters on the island. Cyprus enjoys 340 days of sunshine per year and sunshine is in abundance particularly between April and September, when you can expect the temperature to be 30 degrees and higher. The plentiful beaches and coves provide a refreshing breeze, and evenings are warm and airy. Cyprus is always 2 hours ahead of UK time and you will find some home comforts such as three-pin electrical plugs (no need to take adaptors) and driving on the left-hand side of the road.
Kapparis area
Kapparis, situated between Famagusta and Protaras, is peaceful and picturesque and perfect for anyone looking for a relaxing holiday with amenities nearby. Kapparis has plenty of restaurants, cafes, bars, shops and beaches for a relaxing holiday, and is also the perfect base for exploring the rest of the Famagusta district and beyond, without being amidst the tourist crowds.
How to get there
Direct flights are available from the UK to Cyprus through www.britishairways.com, www.cyprusairways.com and www.flymonarch.com throughout the year. There are also plenty of charter flights available. There are two international airports in Cyprus, Larnaca is the closest at 65km (45 minute drive). Paphos airport is on the other side of the island and is a 2 hour drive away. Flights from the UK to Larnaca Airport take approximately 5 hours.
Car hire is recommended, but taxis are readily available at the airport or to pre-book before you arrive. From the airport to the apartment, a taxi will cost you around CYP £25 (approx GBP £30). There is a selection of car hire companies based at the airport so it is a good idea to book in advance.

The luxury leather sofa becomes a double sofa bed if required. The kitchen is equipped with everything you need for a self-catering holiday including fridge, freezer, microwave, toaster, kettle, cooker, washing machine, clothes airer, iron and ironing board and much more. Both bedrooms have private (separate) balconies, self-controlled air conditioning units, and built in wardrobes. The apartment sleeps a maximum of 6 people using both bedrooms and the sofa bed. The spacious bathroom has a bath with power shower, wc, basin, mirror, cupboards and shaving socket.
