This new two bedroomed apartment can accommodate up to five people. It is on the ground floor of a stunning modern complex of just 22 properties, characterised by arches, stairways, and colourful exteriors. The apartment is double-glazed throughout, and benefits from split air conditioning units in both bedrooms and living area. The bedrooms have fitted wardrobes and there is a wall-safe provided for the use of guests.
It is located between the rather quaint old town of Paralimni, with its lovely town square and fountains, and Kapparis which is only just starting to be developed. It is within easy reach of all amenities including restaurants, supermarkets, bars, 24 hr bakery, bus stop - all within a 10 minute walk. The nearest beach is a 15-20 min walk away, or only 3 minutes by car. The lively resorts of Protaras (10 mins by car) and Ayia Napa (15 mins by car) are also easily accessible by bus and taxi.
The property is fully air-conditioned and has a large patio to the front, with patio furniture, ideal for al-fresco dining. Loungers are provided for use by the pool. The owners have provided a portfolio of information all about the apartment and local area, together with maps, and recommendations on what to do and where to go during your holiday.

The Famagusta District
Cyprus enjoys an intense Mediterranean climate with long dry summers from mid-May to mid-October, with hot sun and clear blue skies, and mild winters from December to February, separated by very short spring and autumn seasons. The sea breezes and create a pleasant atmosphere in coastal areas. Winters are mild with some rain and snow in the Troodos Mountains (around Christmas). Even in December and January there is an average of six hours of bright sunshine a day.
The Famagusta District if on the island's east coast and was once the main port of Cyprus and a very popular tourist resort with the best beaches on the island. After the Turkish invasion of 1974, the areas of Ayia Napa and Protaras were redeveloped to become one of the largest resort areas on the island. These areas have now become a big draw for sun seekers and watersports enthusiasts. Ayia Napa, only a 15 minute drive from our apartment, is best known for its colourful shops, clubs, restaurants, and bars but not so long ago it was just a small fishing village. It still has a small fishing fleet and harbour, surrounded by Tavernas specialising in fresh fish cuisine.
There are quieter places too. Cape Greko, is a promontory jutting out into the sea, where you can experience the most amazing sunsets and is worth a visit just to appreciate the sheer tranquillity and brilliant azure of a crystal clear sea, which is incredibly warm in the summer/autumn.
Going west, one can view the recently uncovered ancient tombs of Macronissos or if you travel slightly inland, you will see many ancient village churches, dating from the 13th century. The craft of basketmaking carries on at Liopetri, and just east of the village of Xylofagou is the picturesque inlet of Potamos, home to a small fleet of fishing boats, where you can have a quiet lunch and cold beer whilst watching the fishermen mend their nets before setting sail for the evening.
Kapparis area
In Kapparis you will find unspoilt, secluded sandy coves where you can have the beach to yourself all day long, as well as a wealth of hospitality in the form of local tavernas, bars and restaurants.
In between Kapparis and Protaras is charming resort of Pernera with sandy beachers and excellent restaurants
Protaras , is characterised by the quaint domed church of Profitis Elias, floodlit at night, perched precariously on the top of a hill overlooking the town. By night there is a wealth of entertainment, shops, restaurants and bars. It is also home to the lovely Fig Tree Bay beach where you can enjoy every watersport from snorkelling and scuba diving to paragliding. Children will love the "Yellow Submarine" and the "Glass Bottomed Boat" and the "Amazing Magic Dancing Waters" - a fantastic spectacle of fountain power, sound and light with its own erupting volcano. Families will also enjoy the water parks, one at Protaras and a larger one at Ayia Napa.
There is a wooden path that can be followed along the coast across rocky coves and secluded beaches where you will stumble across small churches perched high on the rocky landscape overlooking the sea.
This area has something to appeal to every age group and every interest and if your hire a car or take an excursion there are many wonderful things to do and see further afield, such as a trip to Nicosia (1 hour away), or the Troodos mountains. You can even visit the Turkish occupied zone of Northern Cyprus.

How to get there
Fly to Larnaca - good deals can be found via the internet Car hire available at the airport or we can arrange a taxi to meet you or you can pick up a taxi at the airport. It's about 45 minutes drive and the property is easy to find. Owners will provide directions. Taxi fare approximately £25 each way from the property to the airport. Owners can arrange for you to be met. at airport. Car hire can also be arranged locally if you do not require a car for the whole of the holiday. Owners will provide guidance and recommendations for car hire on receipt of your booking. There is a local bus service but taxi or car hire is recommended for transfer to and from the airport.
