Our luxury apartment is situated on the Sunny Coast Aparthotel complex in Kapparis, just a short drive from Protaras, Prenera, Paralimni & Famagusta. The apartment has a large patio area, with dining furniture, overlooking the large outdoor pool. There is also a shallow pool & playground for the kids.

The Famagusta District
Cyprus has a fantastic climate, the summers are long, hot and dry stretching from mid April to mid October and the winters mild. On average there are 340 sunny days each year. The island has lovely beaches, beautiful mountains, with lots of historical and cultural places to visit. October to December is still sunny and the water warm enough for comfortable swimming. At the other extreme, during the winter you can even go skiing high up in the Troodos Mountains
Kapparis area
Sunny Coast is perfectly located - whether you like to relax by the pool, hit the beach or go for something more energetic, everything is within easy reach.
Kapparis is an up-and-coming, picturesque area with plenty to offer all tastes. There are many excellent bars, superb restaurants and a pretty, sandy beach (Fireman's Cove) all just down the road from the apartment. If you want the best of both worlds - lounging by the pool by day but with plenty of nightlife nearby should you want it, then it's definitely for you.
The adjacent resort of Pernera also offers a great choice of restaurants and bars, whilst the lively Protaras, with its wide array of nightlife and award-winning beaches is just a 5 minute drive away. Ayia Napa has many clubs, pubs and restaurants as well as the famous Nissi Beach, and is a 10 minute drive away.
For a taste of the real Cyprus, you can mix with the locals in the nearby town of Paralimni, with its cypriot tavernas, delicious local cuisine, wonderful cafes, churches and numerous shops.
As well as plenty of watersports on almost every beach, there is a host of activities from bungee jumping, diving and horse riding to boat trips and trekking in the Troodos Mountains. There is also a huge waterpark on the outskirts of Ayia Napa.
With its wealth of history, there are many tours centred around the local Cypriot crafts, historical sites and ruins. You can also take a coach trip to one of the largest markets, in Larnaca.
You won't be short of things to do here!
How to get there
- Fly to Larnaca - Sunny Coast Apartment is approx 50km / 35 mins from the airport . - A host of airlines fly to Larnaca including British Airways, First Choice & Thomas Cook. - Car hire is available at the airport. You can normally save money by booking online with one of the many car rental companies before you depart. -Airport pickups/return can be arranged from CYP 25 one-way.

The apartment was beautiful, in a fantastic position within the complex and spotlessly clean. Sunny Coast apartment complex itself has everything you need; bar, restaurant, lounge with TV and a beautiful pool. The whole complex is well maintained and the staff are friendly and couteous. Umbrellas and sunbeds are in plentiful supply. The location in Kapparis was in easy reach of the main resort of Prortaras and the slightly closer resort of Penera, but there were some really nice restaurants and bars in close proximity to the apartment. If you wanted to 'eat in', the supermarket across the road was always well stocked. There are two small but extremely nice, child friendly beaches within a 5 minute walk. We were very impressed with everything Sunny Coast and the apartment had to offer and would definitely go there again. We had a car so everything was in easy reach and the driving is straightforward on the left like home - signage is good.

The apartment was absolutely beautiful, its location to the pool was great. Sitting out on the verander in the evening with a glass of wine was bliss. It was spotless when we arrived and had everything you would need. The supermarket was 3 minutes walk away where you could get fresh rolls and cakes early every morning. The larger supermarket Ophanides was 5 minutes drive away where everything was much cheaper and had a wide variety of foods and drinks. The bars (all within 5 minutes walk) were fantastic. Especially Kennedys bar which was on the complex. Nearly every evening there was live entertainment which was great. The manager Panni was very welcoming and the prices were much cheaper than in the nearby resort of Protaras. The beach was 5 minutes drive away and was lovely and quiet with crystal clear water and plenty of sunbeds. We took our daughter with us who is 13 and we thought she might be bored but she cant wait to go back. We met some lovely people many of whom were locals and we are counting the days till we go back. 10 / 10
