Malabar Cove Beach House on the shores of the Arabian Sea is a perfect hideaway.
Guests approach the Beach House on foot along simple paths which wind through the Coconut Grove.
There are no cars in the village. The nearest road and parking is three or four minutes from the Beach House door.
Malabar Cove Beach House is simplicity with home comforts.
Outside, village life goes on. Fishermen go down to the sea each day with their nets and colourful boats, coconuts are harvested and ladies bash their washing on the rocks.
Inside the beach house, guests can hide away with a book, watch TV or DVD, chat to staff, explore Kerala cooking, take simple Ayurveda treatments, enjoy Yoga or take tuition in Kalaripayattu (Kerala martial arts). Activities should be arranged on arrival.
Tours of Kerala can be planned with the help of staff and wall maps.
Guests can be put in touch with private hire cars / local drivers.
Local back-water trip with visit to Children's School of Kerala Dance and Arts is a favourite.

Malabar Cove Beach House has three twin en-suite rooms, lounge, dining room, central hall, kitchen, ayurveda room, roof top sunning and yoga space.
Each guest room has twin beds. The beds can be made into doubles if preferred. Each guest room has an en-suite bathroom.
Each guest room can accommodate an extra bed if required.
The yoga facilities include:
Kitchen/store room. Guests can make tea, coffee, juice drinks.
Shower room with wc and wash hand basin.
The Ayurveda Room can be used as another en-suite guest room if required - with bunk beds.
This would make four guest rooms.

North Kerala is famous for idyllic beaches, coconut trees, fishing, ancient arts and culture.
Kannur in North Kerala is also famous for its hand loom industry. Kannur is known as the city of looms and lores. Some of the finest handloom fabrics are made in Kanur.
The language is Malayalam.
Places of interest include beautiful beaches at Payyambalam, Muzhuppilangad and Dharmadam Island; the interesting St. Angelo’s Fort, Thalassery Fort, and Bakel fort. There are museums and waterways and the Snake Park at Parassinikadavu.
Cultural activities include:
Kathakali: The 300 year-old dance form known as Kathakali is exclusive to Kerala. It combines opera, ballet, masque, and pantomime to create one of the most elaborate and technically difficult dance forms.
Theyyam: This is a highly ritualistic dance, well preserved with its rare and gorgeous make-up and costume. It represents a glorious period of folk-life in Kannur.
Kalaripayattu: Kalari meaning school and Payattu meaning combat, Kalaripayattu is one of the advanced combat sciences of the world and has reproduced many a hero whose exploits are celebrated in legends and folk songs.
Temperature is low in December and January with records as low as 20° Celsius. On certain days the night temperature may go down to 16° Celsius. During the months of April and May, the mean daily maximum temperature is about 35° Celsius. August can be very humid and clothes feel continuously damp.
The best time to visit Kerala is between the end of October and the beginning of April.
Malabar Cove is near the famous Drive-in Beach of Muzhappilangad. Indian people and foreign guests go to the Drive-in Beach for the thrill of driving the entire four kilometres while skimming the waves.
Sundays is busy with India people travelling to the beach for picniks.
The sea is shallow for some distance out, so it is nice to wander through the water splashing through the waves.
The local fishermen can also be found here, pulling in their fishing boats and the days catch.
