The Phuket region
Kamala is a fairly lively town with superb bars/restaurants. Much quieter than Patong. It has one of the longest and most beautiful beaches in Phuket. Very clean. A two mile sweep with hills at either end. Lovely village feel. Golf/Sailing/Fishing/Lawn Bowls and fascinating theme park nearby.
The Kamala area
Theme Park – Phuket Fantasea – 50 elephants, performers, acrobats, pyrotechnics, buffet, games, shops. Laguna Golf club is 15 mins by car. Patong 10 mins. Surin 5 mins. Boat Trips/Scuba Diving/Snorkelling in crystal clear waters. Bob Marley’s bar amongst many just around the corner. Huge range of restaurant and cuisines. All very relaxed, quiet and low key.
