About the home

Saffron Villa is a luxury villa, set on three floors with private pool and large patio and gardens. Comfortably sleeping six, there are three bedrooms, two en-suite.

There are also two extra folding full size single beds which can be moved and used as desired. Air conditioning is provided throughout.

The garden terrace and balconies have sun throughout the day and due to its elevated position has the added benefit of the cooling sea breezes. All the conveniences of home have been provided to ensure a wonderful stress free holiday for your family and your friends.

Beautiful Saffron Villa is ideally located for ease of access to Kalkan village, just a fifteen minutes slow walk downhill (and a two minute taxi ride back) you will find delightful bougainvillea-draped streets with excellent restaurants, charming shops and a beautiful harbour which now has a small marina.

Facilities

Further details indoors:
Two spacious double en-suite rooms on the first floor. These rooms are bright and airy and have wonderful views over Kalkan and the bay from their private balconies.

A third smaller twin room on the third floor, though not as spacious with a sloping ceiling, remains comfortable with easy access to the main top floor terrace.

The three bedrooms are all air-conditioned and comfortably sleep 6.

We have also provided 2 comfortable movable beds, which can be placed in any room or stowed away as desired. These beds a full single size when extended and are suitable for children or adults.

Use of a cot can be arranged if required.

Further details outdoors:
The three sets of French doors lead out onto the large, private tiled patio area and most importantly the 28m² swimming pool.

We have provided chairs and tables on the terrace to complete the dining experience.

Sun loungers, parasols are, of course, provided. The sunshine and fresh air complement the wonderful views. This is the perfect place to relax

Conditions

Refundable breakages deposit required of £100.
As this is a hilly area people with restricted mobility may find the steps and the rough pavements difficult.

Kalkan is ideally situated for access to the numerous historic sights, which contribute to the tapestry of Turkey’s rich and diverse heritage. Saffron Villa enjoys clear views over the picturesque village, across the bay to the Bird and Snake islands and beyond.

The Kalkan / Kiziltas area

Kalkan is famous for its beauty, its easy going nature and its wonderful array of restaurants. The variety and quality of food available is second to none.
Conveniently positioned with a shop just 200yds for your fresh bread in the morning, and the village, harbour & restaurants are within comfortable walking distance. The village also boasts a beautiful pebble beach, but should you wish to feel the sand between your toes a short journey will take you to the beautiful and vast white sand beach of Patara. Alternatively there are many sophisticated Beach Clubs near to the village providing wonderful places to relax or to enjoy the wide variety of water sports on offer.

Cheap flights available from many uk airports to Dalaman International.

Getting to the Villa from the airport can be arranged for you by air conditioned minibus, or you could get a Taxi or arrange to pick up a rental car from the airport.

Once in Kalkan there are a host of Taxis to choose from and you may phone to be picked up from the villa. Should you wish to adventure the Taxis are cheap, and the regular dolmus (mini bus) services are even cheaper. They operate from the Taxi rank area to the local towns. Mopeds and cars can also be hired in the village.

Everything about Saffron Villa was superb! We had seen the view on the internet - but the real thing was amazing!
We were 2 couples so the two identical en-suite bedrooms suited us perfectly.
The outdoor area was fantastic and we used the lovely pool every day.
The situation of the villa was excellent as we were easily able to walk to the village.
Kalkan is quite beautiful and every day my friend and I did our early morning excercise; walking round every little winding street, finishing up at the local baker to collect our "daily bread".
The local restaurants are excellent and we loved the Pide at the Barbecue Restaurant at lunch time.

My family of 5 had a wonderful holiday and it was the best family holiday ever. Villa was wonderful and Jan and John very helpful. Kalkan has many restaurants. Beach clubs were great. Patara beach long and sandy with good beach bar. We had some three great day trips with Lycia excursion company in town (not sure if they are still operating). Hope to visit Kalkan again.

The property was clean and the people who looked after us were very helpful and thourough in everything they did. The property was in a good position , had a good pool and was a nice base to come back to.I would definitely recommend this Villa to anyone.Xanthos - an archaeological site was outstanding as was Patara beach. Eating out was a real pleasure Doy Doy and Aubergine were two highlights - but all restuarants were good and extremely friendly!
