From the moment you arrive at the exclusive 4 Star Patara Prince resort you will find yourself relaxing and the stresses of everyday life ebb away. You will be greeted by beautiful architecture, mature landscaped gardens and wonderful Turkish hospitality.
As you make your way along the cobbled streets, and breath in the wonderful scent of Jasmine, take a moment to enjoy the vibrant pink bougainvillea that hangs from the beautiful terracotta roofs. When you step onto your terrace at 79 Sunbeam the view will take your breath away.
It is a wonderful area with comfortable outside sofa, modern bean bags and marble dining table. Many hours can be spent taking a leisurely breakfast, reading a book or simply watching the boats sail across the bay to Kalkan harbour.
People return year after year to our Turkish home. Forget the apartments in town and stay in a beautiful character property with all the benefits of a 4 star resort.

This is a character property with exposed Stone Walls and Fireplace. It has air-conditioning but the natural stone also keeps the property cool in the summer and warm in the winter.
There is a twin bedroom and a double bedroom (studio style to the rear of the lounge)
With the addition of a new Sofa Bed the apartment can sleep 6, but due to its size it is more comfortable, and recomended to suit a couple or family of 4
The apartment has been lovingly renovated and includes all modern conveniences. It is simply but stylishly decorated and great care has been taken to create a comfortable home by the sea. It fully caters for all your holiday needs from the cutlery and crockery to the beach towels which are also provided.
The apartment also has tennis racquets, balls, books and family board games

The terrace has a large marble dining table and chairs (can seat up to 6 people). There is a 2 seater sofa and 2 large bean bags so you can relax in comfort and enjoy the amazing view.
The apartment is within the 4 Star Patara Prince Resort and set amongst mature landscaped gardens and beautiful architecture.
After a hard day of relaxing by one of the 4 pools (including an adult only and infinity pool), enjoying the sunbathing platforms, the Resort Spa, sight seeing or undertaking the more energetic activities that are available, there is nothing better than enjoying the Kalkan sunset from you own private terrace. A wonderful spot for a sun downer or pre dinner gin and tonic!
If you are looking for a more active holiday Patara Prince Resort can cater for all your needs with 4 swimming pools, tennis, mini club, water sports centre, volleyball , snooker, Table tennis and much more.

A shuttle boat operates from the sea front to the Marina in Kalkan
There are many steps on the resort but if you don't want the exercise there is a free shuttle bus that operates throughout the resort.
If you have a laptop Wifi is available near the hotel and pool area.

The Turquoise Coast/Lycia region
Kalkan is an old Greek town on the Turkish Riviera with small streets full of colourful shops, antique jewellers and historical buildings. The unique architectural design of Patara Prince Resort seamlessly blends the old with the new to create a magical place offering relaxation in the heart of nature. Patara Prince Resort is protected from cold northern winters by its location on the mountainside and throughout this natural paradise wafts the scent of the most unusual and beautiful jasmines, bougainvillea, and many other rare flowers.
Kalkan by night is exciting. The town centre comes alive at dusk as it begins to bustle with activity - there is so much to do: shopping, dining, cafés, excellent bars, or just going for a stroll along the winding, bustling streets or by the peaceful harbour.
Day and night in Kalkan can be either exciting or relaxing, whichever you choose. Plenty of daytime activities abound from sunbathing on beaches to the archaeological sites of ancient Lycia or meeting nomads high in the Taurus Mountains. At night the vibrant town of Kalkan offers fine dining, bars, plenty of shopping and more!
The Kalkan / Patara Prince Resort area
Kaputaş Beach, a lovely, sandy swimming cove nestled at the foot of a striking mountain gorge. The water is always a brilliant turquoise blue. Kaputas beach is 5 km away from Patara Prince Resort.
Another beach close by is Patara Beach, a beautiful 18 kilometre stretch of sand backed by dunes and unspoilt by any building. Nearby can be found some fascinating Lycian ruins. This beach is closed for protection after sunset as it is one of the few places in the world where the endangered Loggerhead turtles come to lay their eggs.
Saklikent Gorge, Xanthos, Patara, Kekova, Myra are all wonderful historical places to visit
If you are feeling more active why not enjoy walking on the Lycian way, go on a Jeep safari, horse riding, canoeing, white water rafting, sea Kayaking, scuba diving. If you like boats then you can either take a private charter or join an organised boat tour....there is so much to do in Kalkan.

Easy Jet flies regularly into Dalaman Airport. We find good flight prices also with Thomas Cook and Thomson.
A car is not essential but does give you a great deal of flexibility. We normally find a good deal through www.economycarhire.com
Taking into account transfer costs a rental car normally works out very good value.
The Patara Prince Resort is approximately 120KM from Dalaman airport. It is on the main Kas road just outside Kalkan.

Thank you so much for letting us stay in your beautiful apartment,79 Sunbeam!We had a fantastic time there in Kalkan and the weather was wonderful too!We would definitely go back sometime again,there is so much to see and do in and around Kalkan.We went canoeing down the Xanthos river(mud bath included!),horseriding at Patara beach,sailing around the lovely waters of Kekova and Semena,Jetskiing and Quadbiking too!We also had some lovely relaxing evenings on your beautiful terrace watching the sunset and had some wonderful meals in some of the many Restaurants at Kalkan Harbour.Our favourites were Kosk and The Bosphorus ,fantastic!Thank you so much again Karyn,Kind regards Mr & Mrs S (Aug 2010)

"I am loathed to write too many good points as the Sunbeam will become even more popular, however that is going to be difficult! To summarise, I would have no hesitation booking right now for next year! The property was beautifully presented and the view from the terrace has to be seen to be believed. All the appliances provided were in good condition and worked well - we ate in several nights and had no problem cooking. The resort is fantastic though the hill and steps mean that you do get a good workout walking to and from the pool/sea (unless you take the shuttle bus) The pools were quiet (no kids!) and the fact that they were salt water was excellent. This was our second visit in 3 months! An excellent holiday!"

"The property was excellent, well maintained and in a beautiful position. Kalkan is a fantastic destination with lots of gorgeous restaurants. The apartment was very spacious for 2. The owner always replied to our requests very promptly and sorted out our transfer from the airport. We were met on arrival at the resort by one of the owners friends and had their contact number - we didn't need it! The resort was nice and the security office were very accommodating - phoning for taxis and changing money etc. We had a great holiday and would recommend this apartment for other couples!"

"Wonderful resort in a beautiful location. There are lots and lots of steps so its not suitable for disabled people. The resort does provide a free shuttle bus that will take you up and down the resort every 10mins. The apartment was very clean and well equipped. Kalkan is lovely with just enough shops to wonder around in the evening and plenty of excellent restaurants. We would go again.

"This is a fantastic apartment on Patara Prince. Having stayed in a different villa here last year we would throughly recommend this apartment. The interior design is to a modern standard, simple yet tasteful, with stone walls in the bedroom/annexe. The kitchen and bathroom are both modern and well equipped with a spacious shower. It is definitely suited to couples or people you get on with as the double bedroom is an annexe off the living room separated by a curtain only. The apartment has English books to borrow and a gorgeous terrace with table/chairs and a day bed. Only downside was no safe for valuables and lots of steps up to it (but fantastic views and fitness levels go up!). Friendly staff on site, excellent facilities, tons to do in the area esp if you hire a car and get a map. Cant recommend it enough! Thanks"

"The property (with the view and the facilities available) was excellent. It had been our 4th consecutive summer vacation in Kalkan (all in Club Patara premises) where we still continue to enjoy our stay a lot and look forward to stay again next year. Although the villa can accommodate up to 6, it is best up to 4 with only a disadvantage in access for people with walking difficulties. Thanks to the owner for her kind co-operation prior to the lease and providing the opportunity to stay in the excellent premise which enabled another fantastic holiday for my family."
"The photos didn't do it justice. The apartment, although compact, had everything we needed. The newly renovated bathroom and kitchen were of high quality and the views were out of this world. To sit on the terrace and watch the sunset was a great end to a lovely day. The complex had great facilities. We loved the adult only pool. The complex is on a hill with alot of steps but this wasn't a problem because of the free minibus service that runs around the resort. Definitely recommend this to our friends"

"It was a lovely apartment. Very modern, fully equipped and very clean. Everything you need from a holiday from a hair-dryer to a lilo. The views from the terrace were a highlight of the holiday. Very friendly resort and the owner was very helpful in arranging transport from the airport. We didn't have to worry about finding the place in the early hours."
