The Turquoise Coast/Lycia region
A peaceful resort and fishing town on the beautiful Turquoise Coast, Kalkan is largely untouched by mass tourism. Because of its undeniable charm, Kalkan attracts many visitors who come time and time again to this heavenly spot. Kalkan clings to the coastline around an ancient harbour and overlooks a beautiful bay During the day, the main centre of Kalkan is fairly quiet as people choose to visit the excellent local beaches and places of interest - all of which are very easily reached from Kalkan. Kalkan has many top class restaurants and small family run restaurants all offering good value for money.
Kalkan area
Kalkan is a beautiful village nestling on the edge of the Toros Mountains. In Kalkan there are many wonderful restaurants offering a wide variety of dishes at more than reasonable prices. Shopping is a delight in the small boutiques that line the cobbled streets. The way of life in many of the villages around Kalkan has remained untouched for centuries. There are many historical sites in the area, including the ancient city of Xanthos and the sunken city of Kekova. The dramatic Saklikent Gorge and beautiful Patara Beach are within easy reach.
How to get there
Dalaman is the nearest airport with flights from most of the major airports in the UK during the season, May to October. Outside these dates either you will need to change at Istanbul or fly to Antalya. - Charter flights are available from Thomsons, Sky Deals, Travel Republic, First Choice all fly from Uk airports
Transfers from Dalaman to Kalkan take approximately 1.5 hours and is a pleasant journey . We can book private return transport for you should you require. (Aditional cost, payable in Kalkan.) Car hire or taxi available also from airport.

Further details indoors: Furnished to a high standard the apartment offers a comfortable and relaxed environment for that all-important holiday break. Bedroom 1 has a king size bed, bedside cabinets, dressing table and built in wardrobes. Door leading to small private terrace area leading to shared pool. Bedroom 2 has 2 individual single beds. Bathroom has marble tiling, sunken bath with shower over; wc and wash hand basin. Storage cupboard with hair dryer. The open plan lounge/dining area has a sofa bed and comfortable chairs. Insect screens are provided to all windows.
Further details outdoors: Good size pool area and attractive garden borders. Parasol and padded sun loungers for our guests use. Pool approx 7mx4m shared with only 2 other apartments and is cleaned on a daily basis There is a well stocked mini market and quiet bar restaurant just across the road.

The swimming pool is available from May to October. The apartment is not suitable for people with wheelchairs or mobility problems. Prices do not include flights or transfers. A deposit of £100 is required at time of booking. The balance payable together with a £100 security bond 8 weeks prior to departure date. The bond will be returned to you within two weeks of your arrival home, provided there are no major breakages/damage to the apartment or its contents (other than normal wear and tear).
