The apartment was previously used by the exclusive tour operator, Tapestry Holidays and therefore offers a high standard of accommodation and facilities.
Kalkan has experienced some development over the last five years which has resulted in many apartments and villas being located on very steep hills, some distance from the town centre. The Beyhan Apartments, however, are conveniently located on the Kalamar Road in Kalkan. The apartment is spacious, air conditioned in the main bedroom and can comfortably sleep up to three adults. The entrance hall leads firstly to the main double bedroom and bathroom to the left. Directly ahead is the dining kitchen and sitting area (with large sofa bed) which leads to the large roof terrace with breathtaking views over the bay of Kalkan and is especially private and not overlooked.
All the facilities of Kalkan are within a ten-minute stroll. The walk into town is downhill in parts and a very pleasant late night walk home, although depending on mobility, stamina etc! a taxi home makes for an attractive option! (Summer 2008 - £2.00 before midnight and £3.50 after midnight approx).
There is an Apartment Manager who speaks perfect English who will ensure your smooth arrival at the apartments at any time of day or night and will endeavour to make your stay at the apartment a very enjoyable one.

The Turquoise Coast/Lycia region
Kalkan is a pictuesque old Greek fishing village and has developed gracefully over the years, retaining its old charm. During the day, the main centre of Kalkan is fairly quiet as people choose to visit the excellent local beaches and places of interest - all of which are very easily reached from Kalkan. The nearby Patara Beach (20 minutes) is each year voted within the top ten beaches in the world and Kaputas Beach (20 minutes) is one of the most photographed beaches in Turkey. Kalkan has many top class restaurants and small family run restaurants all offering excellent food at good value for money. There are many bars - although these are normally within restaurants and most feature roof terraces with stunning views . Although the resort has not been spoilt with discos or nightclubs, there are a couple of music bars showing Sky Sports! Although Kalkan has so much to offer at night, the bar within the apartment complex is very pleasant and comfortable at night for drinks and the apartment has ample facilities for self catering and evening barbecues. There are a couple of excellent butchers in Kalkan who will prepare meat on skewers for your barbecue if you wish - and there are also a couple of stalls in Kalkan serving freshly caught fish.
Kalkan area
Kalkan is a great place to explore a particularly beautiful and interesting part of Turkey. The nearby beaches of Patara and Kaputas are served by cheap and frequent bus (dolmus) services as is the neighbouring town of Kas. There are many travel agencies in the town offering trips to a variety of places including Ephesus, Dalyan, Fethiye, Kekova (sunken city) and also adventure trips such as white water rafting, paragliding and donkey and horse treks. There is also a huge market in Kalkan every Thursday.
How to get there
The nearest airport to Kalkan is Dalaman (1.45 hours) or Antalya airport (2.45 hours). A transfer service from Dalaman can be arranged (£45 for up to 3 people each way). Transfers from Antalya can also be arranged.
When booking, you will be given advice to assist you in finding the most convenient and economic flights possible, however should you wish to source your own flights, the following information may be useful:
It is highly recommended to book your flights as early as possible - the best deals are found between October and January for the following Summer. Please be aware that charter flight prices can change by the day so don't miss out! It is highly recommended to call or visit the websites of the main tour operators above rather than trawl through "cheap flight" search engines which are usually more expensive.

Further details indoors: The interior has pine ceilings and terracotta floor tiling throughout and even in the height of Summer has a very cool feel. The bathroom has a shower cubicle, wash basin and toilet and a separate area housing the washing machine. The main bedroom is air conditioned with two windows, wardrobe containing safety deposit box, drawers and king size bed. The kitchen is well stocked with utensils and crockery and has a cooking hob, dish washer and large fridge with freezer. There is a double sofa bed and two chairs, dining table and chairs, and large ceiling fan in the sitting/dining area. The main attraction of the apartment is the large, tranquil roof terrace with beautiful unspoilt views.

Accessibility:
The apartment is located on the second floor and therefore is not recommended for the less mobile as there is no lift serving the apartment and the complex is reached by three steps from the pavement.
Little Ones:
Please ensure children are not left unsupervised at any time, even for a few seconds, on the roof terrace or around the pool area. Please note there is no allocated children's pool although with armbands, the pool is pefectly safe for children. The roof terrace has been fitted with high decorative iron railings for extra safety.
Conditions
Smoking is only permitted on the balcony as the apartment is of wooden construction and is therefore fitted with very sensitive smoke alarms.
