Villa Angelika is situated in a small hillside development aptly named Paradise, overlooking picturesque Kalkan village. Quiet and peaceful with spectacular sea and mountain views, the villa enjoys cooling mountain breezes making alfresco living more comfortable for both adults and children in the summer heat.
Spend your days admiring the views, relaxing on the terrace, enjoying a cooling swim in the pool and watching the spectacular sunsets over the mountains. If however you are feeling more energetic take the free shuttle bus to Kalkan with its upmarket bars restaurants shops and harbour with frequent excursions around this beautiful part of the Turquoise Coast or hire a car and explore this historic area yourself.

The Turquoise Coast/Lycia region
The area known in antiquity as Lycia occupies part of South Western Turkey also known as the Turquoise Coast in recognition of the deep blue colour of the coastal waters. It is steeped in history with a rich variety of cultural remains in Patara, Xanthos, Tlos, Demre, Letoon, as well as natural attractions including some beautiful sandy beaches at Kaputas and Patara, and the spectacular natural gorge at Saklikent and lagoon at Oludeniz..
Bustling Fethiye (ancient Telmessos) is well worth a visit. After sightseeing and shopping, visit the fish market and barter for your lunch from a wide variety of freshly caught fish, before taking your "catch" to a local restaurant to be prepared and cooked. Perfect!
A trip down the Coast past the pretty village of Kas brings you to the ancient sunken City of Kekova-Simena drowned in an earthquake in 2nd century AD the ruins still visible through the crystal clear waters and overlooked by a Castle built by the Knights of St John.
Further down the Coast is the modern town of Kale/Demre with some splendid Lycian tombs as well as being the birth place of Father Christmas!
The name Lycia means "country of light" and this is as true today as it was in antiquity with around 300 days of sunshine every year.
Kalkan / Kordere area
Kalkan and its sister village Kas are traditional "Greek" fishing villages. A visit to the bustling local markets in Kalkan on Thursday or Kas on Friday is a must. with local traders outdoing each other in selling genuine fakes "I want your money" ,"cheap as chips-cheaper than Tesco!"
Kalkan is an upmarket resort with a number of excellent restaurants particularly in the harbour area where most have terraces with sea and harbour views but you need to book early for the best seats. We particularly recommend Aubergine and Doy Doy. Staff are all very helpful with children.
The picturesque old quarter is protected from development and still reflects its origins as the Greek fishing village of Kalamaki.
Access to the Paradise complex is off the main Elamli/Sulingen road along a rough farm track for about 100yds. The villa and complex have however very good block paved roads throughout and although the site is quite steep it is easily accessible by cars and minibuses. New road. a new main road has just been completed Aug 08. On arrival into Kalkan at the end of the new road follow the Elamli/Sutlingen road to the Left. At the hairpin bend after ~300 yds turn Right signed Elamli/Sutlingen for approx 2 km Paradise complex on Left well signposted. Follow farm track to left until you reach entry gates to paradise complex. Engage low gear up the hill and reception is roujnd the corner on the left.
How to get there
Fly to Dalaman - 1hour 30 mins transfer to Kalkan.
Fly to Antalya- 3 hours transfer to Kalkan. Useful only if you want to take a few days visiting Perge, Aspendos, Olympos, Demre en route to Kalkan. Consider flying out to Antalya and return via Dalaman.
Airlines- Thomas Cook, Thomson, and a number of other budget airlines fly from most national and regional airports in UK. Easyjet now flying to Dalaman from Gatwick. Also Turkish charter Onur from most regional airports
Car hire- available locally at reasonable rates via our agents Paradise Travel as well as all the usual national car hire companies at Dalaman Airport.
We also recommend www.economycarrentals.com who provide a 24 hr service at Dalaman Airport and will also do separate arrival and pick up destinations ie arrive Antalya depart Dalaman.

Accommodation consists of ; Entrance hall with marble stairway to first and second floors.
Ground floor hallway with separate WC and access to open plan kitchen and lounge. Bright sunny well equipped kitchen opens onto terrace, with views of both mountains and sea.
Spacious lounge with sofa seating, 32" HD LCD TV with DVD and twin satellite connection giving a reasonable selection of English programmes including BBC news channel and children programmes including cBBC . A selection of DVDs is provided including some children's titles or bring your own. Patio doors open onto large terrace.
Two bedrooms on ground floor both en suite one double with bath and access to patio and small garden, and one twin with en suite facilities and shower.
First floor consists of a full width master bedroom suite with a wrought iron emperor size bed (210x200cms), two large covered sea facing balconies, with wrought iron furniture, an en suite bathroom, a spacious sitting area with two sofas, including HD LCD satellite TV/ DVD player, as well as a large en suite nursery with single bed, cot and changing facilities, and separate covered sea facing balcony. Also on this floor is a large double en suite bedroom which can also be used as a twin room.
All bedlinen and towels are 5* quality for your comfort., with maid service twice weekly.
For larger parties there may be the possibility of renting the non resident owners exclusive roof terrace in addition to the rest of the villa.

Further details outdoors: The swimming pool has a separate children's area making this villa ideal for families with young children. The large travertine terrace and balconies are surrounded by sturdy wrought iron railings so your children can play safely while you relax and enjoy the surroundings.

The site is quite steep and not really suitable for guests with mobility problems, although the villa itself has two ground floor bedrooms with en suite facilities one with direct access to a patio garden area.
£150 non- refundable deposit required at time of booking. Balance of holiday must be paid within 8 weeks of departure date.
Fully refundable security deposit of £150 with final payment. Minor breakages glasses plates etc will not be charged to our guests. We want you to have a relaxing holiday without any worries.
