Welcome to our Abode, a luxury duplex apartment in Kalkan, with unparalleled panoramic views of the stunning turquoise coast of Aegean Turkey.

This is a place to relax, laugh, love unwind and enjoy life in peaceful tranquillity, sat out under the perfectly azure skies of Turkey’s best kept secret, Kalkan.

Constructed in 2007 by Kalkans premier boutique hotel group, Kalkan Abode is a luxury duplex villa situated in front of the bay, with unrivalled views of the sea from almost every room.

On the terrace, in the living area or lying in bed, you will have stunning views of the crystal-clear Mediterranean waters.

The apartment has been carefully furnished in luxurious and contemporary style and benefits from three marble and glass wet-rooms to cool down in after a hard day relaxing!

If you need to further relax, our guests are entitled to a 10% discount at the luxury spas of both nearby 5 star hotels The Asfiya & The Likya

Kalkan abode is located approximately 0.5 kilometre (10 minute gentle walk) from Kalkan centre in a premier location next to the Kalkan Regency hotel.

The boutique apartment has a large lounge area with seating for 6, an MP3 player dock and a large sofa bed suitable for two.

The two large bedrooms are also furnished in a contemporary style with generous amounts of wardrobe space, dressing tables, a digital safe, and with en suite wet-room bathrooms. The beds have the best quality orthopaedic mattresses to ensure that you get that good night's sleep you need and deserve.

The master bedroom has two balconies equipped with table and chairs from which to enjoy the view. The guest suite has two single beds and a large balcony, also equipped with a table and chairs.

The modern kitchen is fully equipped as you would expect for meals in or out with a dinner service for 8 and various appliances such as toaster, kettle, cafetiere and microwave. The kitchen also has an automatic washing machine, dishwasher and large capacity fridge freezer.

The apartment will be cleaned every day during your stay.

Bed linen and towels will be provided for use inside the apartment. You will need to bring towels for use by the pool/beach.

Almost every room in Kalkan Abode has a sea view.

From the private sunbathing terrace you can sit and watch the passing gulets & yachts sail to and from the harbour in Kalkan, catching the summer breeze in their sails.

The master bedroom has two balconies, and the guest suite one balcony from which to enjoy the view.

A table and 6 chairs are also located on the terrace, perfect for al fresco dining in the warm summer evenings.

Kalkan Abode is luxuriously furnished with everything that we think you will need during your holiday stay in Turkey.

The apartment has Wi-Fi access, and MP3 stereo player, dishwasher, automatic washing machine, sun-loungers (with extra thick padding for your comfort!), parasol, digital safe, iron / ironing board, hairdryer, kettle, toaster, microwave, cafetiere, smoke detector and plenty of UK plug adaptors.

The pool is an 8-metre diameter pool averaging 5ft deep. A poolside shower is available to keep you clean and refreshed.

Kalkan Abode can be reserved for a non-refundable deposit of £250 with the balance remaining, due 8 weeks prior to the start of your holiday. The price includes the complete 2 storey apartment rental for up to 6 people.
A refundable Breakage Deposit of £250 is payable with balance and will be returned in full, (subject to satisfactory property inspection), within two weeks of end of holiday.
For bookings within 8 weeks of departure FULL payment must be made with the booking.
Remittances made by Eurocheque, or by sterling draft or cheque on a foreign bank will incur a charge of £25 to cover collection charges.
Monday is the preferred changeover day as most of the charter flights operate on this day but we will try & be flexible to accommodate you.
Please ensure that your travel insurance policy covers you against cancellation

The Turquoise Coast/Lycia region

The Lycian coast of Turkey is aptly named the Turquoise coast with exquisite, clear blue sea water. Below the Patara Prince Resort , the sea is fed by springs, resulting in the cleanest and purest sea water in the Mediterranean. Although the Kalkan coast is dramatic and rocky, Patara beach, voted by The Sunday Times as one of the most beautiful and unspoilt beaches in the Mediterranean, has 18 km of white sand and is approx a 15 mins drive. Kaputas is a sandy beach approx 10 mins drive away. Kalkan's climate is considered to be the best in Turkey with 300 days sunshine every year and very low humidity.
Kalkan is on the route of the Lycian Way, which offers walkers stunning scenery and many archaelogical sites on its route.There are many ancient sites within easy reach of Kalkan including Xanthos, Pinara, Tlos and Patara. Further afield are the well known sites of Olympus, Kekova, Myra and Ephesus.

The Kalkan area

The historic town of Kalkan is an enchanting place and one of the most beautiful locations along Turkey's gorgeous Lycian Coast. With the complete absence of mass tourism, Kalkan remains a charming and unspoiled haven of lush nature, brilliant blue crystal-clear sea, historic architecture, ancient history and warm traditional Turkish hospitality. Once a simple fishing village, today’s Kalkan is quietly sophisticated and postcard pretty with a few good quality low-rise hotels and apartments and a multitude of excellent roof-top restaurants offering all manner of culinary delights together with stylish and atmospheric Blues and Jazz bars. The village shops stay open until around midnight and are well stocked with interesting antiques, crafts, jewellery, clothing and accessories. The narrow streets twist down to the harbour, which is the focus of the village and here you can enjoy a meal whilst watching the world go by or looking at the array of elegant gulets, some of which are available for private hire.

Kalkan is a very special place - first-time visitors will invariably return time and time again. Kalkan curls snugly around an ancient harbour sheltered at the foot of the towering Taurus Mountains.

Beach Clubs
There are a number of beach clubs around the bay that can be reached by free shuttle service from the harbour. These are wonderful paved platform terraces and gardens with ladders going into the sea. They offer swimming, sunbathing, water sports and restaurant/bar facilities and have sun beds and umbrellas for hire.

Water sports
Jet skiing, water skiing, parasailing and banana boat rides are available from the beach clubs around the bay.

Diving
Kalkan's crystal clear waters are popular with scuba divers and is a top location for diving along Turkey 's coast. It has several sites including islands and reefs with a huge variety of marine life including turtles, nurse sharks, dolphins and barracudas. Lycian Way

The route from Dalyan to Antalya across the Taurus Mountains has existed for hundreds of years, made clear by traders and townfolk, however it was only known to a few.

In 1999, the Lycian Way route was published for the first time, charting the route through the pine and cedar forests and alongside cool springs of melting snow water.

Sectional walks from Kalkan can be undertaken by taking a Dolmus to the start and finish points or by joining an organised tour.

Many chartered and scheduled airlines fly into the new airport at Dalaman from all over the UK. Flight time is around 3hrs 45minutes.
Dalaman airport is 90 minutes from Kalkan via good road links. We can arrange your taxi transfers for you at around £15 p.person each way. Car hire available from Dalaman airport from £20.00 per day.
