About the home

Villa Oasis is a delightful, fully air conditioned private villa with 2 bath/shower rooms, fully fitted kitchen, private swimming pool and gardens from which you can enjoy really fresh fruit (in season). We have orange, lemon, banana and pomegranate trees in the gardens & you are welcome to enjoy their fruits, straight from the branch.

Take breakfast on the balcony overlooking Kalkan bay, enjoy a relaxing day around the private pool or in the shady garden and finish off the evening with a barbecue on the roof terrace.

The Turquoise Coast/Lycia region

Kalkan and the surrounding villages have many historical sites on the doorstep, Pinara and Sidyma; with their amphitheatres and tombs, Kekova; the sunken city best reached using a local boat.
The famous beach at Patara, where sea turtles now lay their eggs in a protected area, is a 20 minute drive away from Kalkan.
For the more adventurous, try canoeing down the Xanthos river, followed by a relaxing mud bath or if you're looking for more excitement, try tandem paragliding - a really exciting way to spend a day. These trips can be arranged through many of the local tour specialists in Kalkan.
Enjoy the turquoise water for snorkelling and swimming, or the pine forests leading to the nearby mountains.

The Kalkan area

Kalkan has an air of tranquillity that other places have lost, narrow shaded streets lined with cafes and small shops lead you down to the harbour where you can sit in the shade and watch the boats coming and going. You can arrange day cruises or snorkelling and scuba trips at the harbourside shops.
Local beach clubs offer a variety of facilities including; water skiing, jetski, snorkelling and scuba diving.
At night Kalkan offers excellent and varied cuisine from the many roof top restaurants. For the young at heart there is a choice of bars for you to relax in, or if you feel energetic enough, dance the night away under the stars.

Fly from the UK to Dalaman, (you can book your flights via the internet or your local travel agent).
Car rental can be arranged, or, if preferred, a private transfer can be booked to take you to your accommodation and back to the airport at the end of your stay, please let me know should you require this service. This costs around £55 each way for up to 3 people. A mini-bus can be booked for £75 each way.
Now that the new tunnel has been opened near Dalaman, the journey from Dalaman to Kalkan takes about 1 hour 30 minutes.
