Villa Yar is a stunning property. While it is not overlooked, local amenities are easily accessible. The villa comfortably sleeps 6, due to 3 double en-suite bedrooms, including a master suite which contains 2 super-king size beds. Villa Yar was finished in 2007 by a British house designer. The property was chosen for its views and privacy. Built from scratch to encorporate all requirements for the cosmopolitan traveller, the standard of this property excells expectations.

Villa Yar is a newly built contemporary villa of a superior quality with bespoke furniture, i-pod docking stations, plasma TVs and Jacuzzi baths while still having a homely feel to it. There are huge travertine terraces, including a roof terrace with separate kitchen and spacious poolside area. The views from all angles of Villa Yar are simply breathtaking.To appreciate this, there is no shortage of outdoor space.

The Turquoise Coast/Lycia region

Kalkan is on the Lycian coast of the Mediterranean sea. The weather is hot and dry throughout the summer months. June, July, August all have temperatures with mins of 27c to maximum of 35deg in the very hot years. March, April, May, Sept and Oct are wonderful months with warm days around 25degs and cool evenings.

The Lycian Coast is a mecca for historians. Xanthos, Kekova, Saklient Gorge all provide wonderful day trips. Shoppers are in easy reach by car to Kas or further afield Fethiye is a picturesque 45 minute drive.

Kalkan / Kisla area

Local points of interest are Kaputas beach a beautiful cove and Patara beach a "Sunday Times top ten beach". The beach is twelve miles long of undeveloped sand dunes where loggerhead turtles nest. In the heat of the day a good trip out is into the mountains to the trout farms fed by natural streams. Restaurants cling to the hillside. All of these are very close.

From Kalkan harbour it is also recommended to take a day Gulet boat to visit the islands on a leisurely cruise. Swimming in the clear waters and snorkelling, you will not wish to go home! For the more adventurous diving there are two diving centres both Padi registered where dives can be planned and courses taken. For the adrenaline junky Marlin Water Sports will collect you from the jetty by the villa (100 meters) and take you for a wakeboard, waterski or ringo! The owner of the villa is a qualified wakeboarder, vests and wakebaord equipment come with the villa.

One thing that makes Kalkan quite unique are the large number of simply outstanding restaurants huddled around the harbour and cobbled streets. The F Word would have no complaints here! Gironda, Trio, Coast, Aubergine, Ivy, Salt and Pepper and Sofra are but a few to mention of the culinary delights.

How to get there

Dalaman International Airport (DLM) is the nearest airport. Transfers take one hour fifteen minutes and can be arranged through our agent. Flights are from all international UK airports and are daily over summer.
There are many airlines to choose from, including Thomson, Thomas Cook, XL airways,Goldtrail and Onur air.
A new, and fantastic addition, is Easyjet from Gatwick.

Further details indoors:
The designer kitchen contains all essentials, finished in chrome and marble surfaces. Huge fridge freezer keeps everything cool! The kitchen is open plan to the living space which contains the bespoke dining table, with unique rattan chairs. There is also a downstairs WC. Full sliding doors extend onto the terraces, while allowing the breath taking views to be seen from inside.

BEDROOMS: There is a twin bedroom, one double and a master suite that contains 2 super-king size beds. All bedrooms are of a very good size and contain bespoke wardrobes. While this is capable of sleeping 8, we usually accommodate for groups of 6 in order to provide extra comfort and space.

All bathrooms contain power showers and full length baths; the master bedroom's en-suite contains a jacuzzi bath. The toilets, sinks and bidets are in matching white porcelain with chrome taps.

With travertine throughout all four floors, the villa remains nice and cool, even in the peak of the summer.
The villa also contains plasma TVs with satellite and DVD players. Along with i-pod docking stations, there are cd players and a selection of DVD's and CD's for your entertainment.

Further details outdoors:
There are many terraces - none of which are overlooked. The bedroom terraces contain adjustable chairs and a hammock, perfect for relaxing with a gin and tonic! There is an additional roof terrace with marble topped dining and table squashy bean bags and an additional kitchen and WC.

On the ground floor, there are stunning landscaped gardens containing the beautiful smelling Jasmine and Bouganvillea. The poolside terrace is ideal for sunbathing, with rattan sunloungers with plenty of shade too.
The pool is skyline with views of the clear sea and extending to the bay of Kalkan. There is also a four man hot-tub on the poolside terrace for those water babies!

There is a quality steel gas BBQ imported from England for a real summer flavour.

Changeover day is normally Monday. Other days can be agreed to, depending on flexibility and other bookings.

Conditions

Should you wish to book, a £500 deposit is required to guarantee the booking.

The balance is due six weeks prior to your departure.

Last minute bookings can be taken and discounts can be negotiated, depending on the month concerned and duration of your stay.
