About the home

This stunning detached villa is set in a fabulous location offering spectacular views over the bay of Kalkan. Koy Manzara (Bay View) has been beautifully furnished, and is extremely comfortable, airy and spacious. It has been tastefully decorated and is extremely well equipped for both inside and outside living, making your holiday more relaxing and comfortable.
The mature garden and terraces have sun throughout the day and due to its elevated position has the added benefit of the cooling sea breezes. Enjoy drinks by the pool, dine Al Fresco under the Bougainvillea covered pergola, or just relax and watch the changing scenery from the comfortably furnished roof terrace.

On the ground floor is the spacious open-plan lounge; kitchen and dining area, each have patio doors leading onto the terrace. The doors from the kitchen lead directly to a large pergola covered in Bougainvillea, providing welcome shade whilst you dine Al Fresco. The air-conditioned lounge is inviting, with large comfy sofas, a wonderful open fireplace and stunning views. The kitchen is modern and very well equipped, (see facilities below for details) with a large dining table and chairs. Conveniently located on the ground floor is a WC.

On the first floor are two air-conditioned bedrooms, both decorated in a similar style, but with their own individuality. Cooling white walls and hand made curtains, matching covers and beautiful Turkish cushions make these bedrooms feel special. They also have large wardrobes with plenty of hanging space and a dressing table with mirror to ensure you look your best for your evenings out in the wonderful restaurants of Kalkan. The bedrooms each have a large en suite bathroom with a double walk-in shower, WC, and a vanity cabinet with plenty of storage. Each bedroom has its own large private balcony with roof to keep you cool, and both balconies have spectacular views.

On the second floor is an air-conditioned twin bedded room which has a wardrobe with plenty of storage space & a dressing table with mirror. There is also a fridge and hair-dryer in this room. Please note this room has limited head height in some areas. This bedroom has easy access to the roof terrace with sofas/ table and parasol, and of course fabulous views. Access to the roof terrace can be locked if young children occupy the bedroom.

Outside living is enviable at this villa. The flower-covered pergola provides a cooling and beautiful place to eat. Admire the magnificent views from the comfort of your sun-bed, or if you get a burst of energy how about swimming a few lengths in your own private pool? The parasols even have wheelie stands to make even the small task of moving them easy. There is also a BBQ if you fancy trying your hand at Al Fresco cooking. Beautiful deep pink and red Bougainvillea climb up to the balconies and dotted around the terrace are terracotta pots overflowing with pretty colourful flowers. The views from the roof terrace are breathtaking and together with the wrought-iron sofas (with comfy mattresses) and marble table this makes for the ultimate nighttime viewpoint to be mesmerised by the twinkling lights of Kalkan.

A non-refundable deposit of 25% of the VILLA price is required to confirm a booking. The balance is payable eight weeks before departure.
A breakage deposit of £200 is required with your final balance. This amount is refunded within 3 weeks of departure from the villa (subject to breakages)

This beautiful and sophisticated bougainvillea-covered harbour village is set in a breathtaking landscape in the heart of the old Lycian region. The ancient sites of Xanthos, Letoon, Pinara, Tlos and Patara are all close by, with Kekova, Demre, Myra, Phaselis, Olympos and Aspendos slightly further away, but all easily accessible.

The standard of dining in Kalkan is a wonderful surprise. With restaurant ownership shared between locals and Turks from Istanbul, a wider variation of Mediterranean cuisine is offered than perhaps might be expected from a Turkish village of this size. Certainly, the range and style of cuisine on offer exceeds what is generally available throughout coastal Turkey.
Due to the type of visitor that Kalkan attracts there have been continuing gastronomic improvements, especially at the higher end of the market. This has resulted in an eclectic selection of restaurants that provide good value for all tastes.
Swimming opportunities abound. The village pebble beach has been carefully and attractively extended. There are stunning beaches in the immediate vicinity, with Patara Beach being one. Patara is a 20-minute journey, and is regularly featured as one of the Mediterranean's most beautiful and undiscovered beaches. Comprising eighteen kilometres of sand without a single building. (Except one restaurant on the beach which is open all day and has all the facilities needed to spend the whole day at the beach).
The dramatic Kaputas beach is a 5 minute journey from Kalkan. It is a beautiful sandy beach found at the foot of a ravine down many steps.
Several beach clubs complete the swimming options available in Kalkan. Accessible by water taxi, taxi or on foot, these clubs are much more than simply platforms cut into the cliff side - they provide a scenically stunning setting and a peaceful haven in which to relax by the water's edge listening to the sounds of the sea and, occasionally, tasteful background music.
The swimming at the beach clubs is fabulous, with access steps leading directly from the rocks into the clear clean waters of the bay, some parts of which are freshened by several natural underground springs. Most of the clubs also provide water sports for the more active.

Kalkan Boat Trip
Chill on a relaxing day trip around the bays and islands of Kalkan, lunch is served onboard. Plenty of swimming and lots of fun.

Saklikent, Tlos & Yakapark
A wonderful way to escape the searing summer heat of the coast, this tour takes you into the Taurus mountain range with its fresh springs cascading to the plain below. Travel down the river on a giant inflatable rubber ring, followed by a mud bath.

Scuba Diving & Try Dives
Kalkan has many excellent dive companies offering full day trips, 'try dives' and PADI open water courses for those looking to establish themselves as a certified diver.

Horse Riding
Riding on the beautiful 18 km beach of Patara.

Fethiye Market & Kayaköy
Approximately 15 minutes from Fethiye is the Ghost village, Kayakoy. After the inhabitants left the village in 1922 to return to Greek soil, the houses, numbering about 3,500, where left empty and deserted.

Canoeing
An exciting day of sun, fun, nature and canoeing along the beautiful Xantos River. No canoeing experience required to share an exhilarating day in Patara national park as your experienced guides show you one of the most unspoilt places of the area.

Paragliding
Thrill-seekers are sure to find this one of the greatest possible adrenalin rushes. Take off on top of the mountains in Kas enjoy the view of Greek Island Meis, Kas town and beautiful scenery.

Sea Kayaking at Kekova
This is a great way to see the sunken city of Kekova and experience sea kayaking.

Greek Island of Meis (Castellorizo)
Meis Island known as Castellorizo by the Greeks is only 20 minutes away from Kas town. Meis has remained untouched by tourism still protecting its charm and beauty of a small Greek Island. Tours to the Island are available almost everyday from Kas.

Within easy reach of Kalkan is the Lycian capital, Xanthos, its port, Patara, religious centre, Letoon and also Pinara.

We had such a relaxing and comfortable time at Koy Manzara that we would look to return in the future. We had our 6 month old daughter with us and a cot was provided which was very comfortable for her. There were also plenty of toys at the villa for her to play with. The villa is decorated beautifully and the bedrooms were all very comfortable – 2 out of 3 bedrooms have very nice en-suite bathrooms.The kitchen has all you need to cook any sort of meal and the living areas are very comfortable. We sat in quite a few evenings after a meal and watched DVDs - we felt really at home on the comfortable sofas. The BBQ and all utensils needed were all provided and we enjoyed cooking our own Kofte kebabs! The distance from the centre of Kalkan is ideal for an easy trip in for a bite to eat or to have a wander around. However the peaceful feeling at the villa and the amazing view of Kalkan Bay meant that we didn’t feel we had to go very far to completely relax.The pool was a little bit cold for us southerners in May but was cleaned everyday by Mehmet who is a lovely guy – he made our daughter laugh every morning but also made us feel very at ease and confident that if we had any questions he would be more than happy to help us. The roof terrace is perfect for an early evening drink whilst admiring the view – equally ideal for somewhere quiet to read a book. Koy Manzara is a fantastically equipped villa in a beautiful settings in the lovely resort of Kalkan. Forget your package holiday, organising a trip with a villa like this is a must for any holiday. The villa is great for children and helped keep them entertained whilst we soaked up some sun! Tracey maintained excellent communication with us prior to our holiday and linked us up with car hire and airport transfers. These were equally good. Thank you for helping us to have a great holiday. Kalkan is a lovely place and much nicer than other resorts in this area of Turkey.

We had an absolutely fabulous holiday. The villa was great and we loved Kalkan and it's people who were so very friendly. Glenn and I had a marvelous time at Koy Manzara and the weather gods were really smiling too! We were perhaps a little too busy running around seeing Lycian ruins and probably could have slowed down a bit to enjoy the pool amenitities however we hope to be back some day with a different agenda. We have just returned from a one week stay at the villa and it was one of the best holidays we have ever had. The villa was beautiful, very private, having just about everything a holiday maker could wish for. The welcome pack was very useful with clear directions and tips and the groceries in the fridge on our arrival day and the very large water dispenser were all appreciated - all small touches that make a difference to your stay.
If you didn’t want to venture very far the villa had everything - We spent many days just relaxing by the pool having a BBQ for lunch and soaking up the sun but on the days we did venture out we still made use of the facilities packing the cool bag and trying some of the places highlighted in the welcome pack.
At night the roof terrace was a perfect way to chill out either before or after a night out and just sitting with a glass of wine and admiring the view was a great way to finish the day.
Kalkan is a beautiful place, the bars and restaurants are all really nice with friendly staff and gorgeous food.
We couldn’t fault the villa, the service received or Kalkan itself, this was our first visit but it definitely won’t be our last. Thank you for a wonderful holiday, it was perfect. Louise White Sheffield 6th may 2010

The three generations of our family absolutely loved the villa and Kalkan. All the child-friendly features and endless toys, games and CDs were fantastic for keeping our little ones amused and safe whilst Grandad could lie on the sunbed all day! We were a party of 3 adults. The holiday started with our car at the airport & the great directions to the villa. We were met by Mehmet who we phoned some 10 minutes from the villa & he met us & showed us the villa. The villa was perfect. So well appointed with everything you would need for your holiday. The roof terrace was just great with tea on the terrace first thing and gin & tonics at sundown. The pool & patio were great & Mehmet cleaned every morning.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Koy Manzara, it was a wonderful base from which to explore the fantastic town of Kalkan and surrounding areas. The villa is superbly equipped with every possible home comfort including many extras we needed for our 6 month old baby. We had a fabulous time and would certainly recommend the villa and the town of Kalkan to anyone looking for a fantastic holiday in Turkey.

We had a perfect honeymoon at Kalkan, the villa was absolutely first class and very much a home from home, the personal touches which welcomed us as we arrived were greatly appreciated, everything we needed for the week was there for us & it was a lovely, relaxing time spending lazy days by our swimming pool.
