Superbly positioned above a quiet, no through road in the peaceful Kalamar Bay area of Kalkan, Villa Esinti was completed in 2006 and is furnished to a modern, high standard to provide spacious and comfortable accommodation for 8 people, with independently controlled air conditioning and heating throughout.
The entrance hall leads into a large, open plan living area with comfortable seating for 8, satellite TV, DVD & portable radio/cassette/CD player, open fireplace, large dining table with 8 chairs, and two double doors out onto the terrace. The quality fitted kitchen is fully equipped with electric oven, gas hob, large fridge/freezer, dishwasher & washing machine.
The first floor has one double bedroom with en suite bathroom and one twin/double with spacious en suite shower room (all plumbing is to UK standard, avoiding the need for bathroom paper bins). All bedrooms have dressing area, with built-in wardrobe, and double doors opening onto private, front balconies. There is a further small balcony off the landing to the rear.
The second floor is similar to the first floor, with identical bedrooms and bathrooms but larger front balconies.
The third floor has a small fitted kitchen with sink, refrigerator and kettle, leading onto a large roof terrace with deep soft sofas, tables, relaxer chairs, parasol and panoramic views of the sea and surrounding headlands and mountains.
The villa faces South-West and its private swimming pool (6.5m x 4m) and spacious terrace are raised well above the quiet road. There are 8 wooden loungers with deep cushions, 4 large parasols and a table seating 8 for al fresco dining.

The Turquoise Coast/Lycia region
Kalkan nestles in a beautiful bay of the Mediterranean Sea on Turkey's stunning Turquoise Coast, with the Taurus Mountains as its backdrop. The weather during the summer season is dry and warm.
The Autumn and Spring months are comfortable times to explore the many archaeological sites in the area, including the nearby ruins of Xanthos, Patara and Letoon, the Acropolis of Tlos, the rock tombs at Myra, and the crusaders' castle and sunken city of Kekova-Simena.
From November until April the weather is less predictable but there is still a lot of sunshine and the maximum daytime temperature is rarely below 15° C ( 59° F).
Available activities include exploring the ancient Lycian Way (which passes 100m from Villa Esinti), a cooling trek through Saklikent Gorge, horse riding on Patara Beach or sea kayaking at Kekova.
Kalkan / Kalamar Bay area
Once a simple fishing village, Kalkan has developed sensitively into a charming and sophisticated resort. Kalkan's warm but relaxed welcome encourages visitors to return year after year and many regard it as their second home. The narrow, cobbled streets leading down to the harbour are lined with shops selling interesting antiques, crafts, jewellery, clothing and accessories late into the evening, and a weekly market is held on Thursdays. A range of bars refreshes the pre-dinner amble around the village and offers stylish and atmospheric jazz and blues later in the evening.
Kalkan is renowned above all for its amazing selection of restaurants, offering great value in Turkish, Mediterranean and international cuisine, including wonderful fresh seafood. Many are on rooftops with spectacular views over the bay; others give the opportunity to watch the world go by around the harbour or in quiet side streets. In addition to the food, they cater for a wide variety of musical tastes, including classical, jazz and traditional Turkish music.
Kalkan has a safe pebble beach and several beach clubs with bars, restaurants, sea bathing and water sports. Sandy beaches nearby are accessible by dolmus (local bus) or water taxi. A 10 minute journey takes you to stunning Kaputas Beach, dramatically positioned at the foot of a ravine. To the west of Kalkan, unspoilt Patara Beach, voted one of the top beaches in the world by Times Online - Best of 2005, boasts seven miles of soft golden sand and the evocative ruins of a fine city protruding from the encroaching dunes. Daily boat trips from Kalkan visit the beaches and outlying islands from £10 per head, lunch included, and all sizes of boats can be chartered for exclusive use.
Diving, water sports, self-drive boat hire, bar and restaurant are available at the local Kalamar Beach Club, which is about 10 minutes walk from Villa Esinti.
The Kulube Hotel, at the water's edge just 5 minutes walk away, welcomes non-residents who wish to use its bar, restaurant and leisure facilities. It is a 10 minute walk from Villa Esinti to the nearest convenience store, and 20-25 minutes scenic walk to Kalkan village centre, passing a few shops, bars and restaurants along the way. Supermarkets, a post office, three banks with ATMs, internet cafes and telephone bureaux, doctors, chemists and dentists can all be found in the village.
There are always plenty of taxis available in the village for the return journey and you will find telephone numbers in the villa if you wish to call a taxi to pick you up. Our agents can arrange for good quality, air-conditioned hire cars to be delivered to you, from about £23 per day.

The nearest airport is Dalaman, which has direct flights from many UK and European airports as well as domestic links with Istanbul. There are many flight finder sites; these are some which you may find useful:
We can arrange private transfers from Dalaman in an air conditioned car or minibus for £55 each way (1-2 people with luggage); £65 (up to 5 people with luggage); £85 (up to 14 people with luggage); transfer time about 11/2 hours. Transfers also available from Antalya (please ask for details).

Fabulous villa, in a fabulous location. From start to finish this holiday was simply fantastic. The villa looks stunning from the internet photos and more than matches them in real life . The location is great with truly breathtaking views. The lounge and kitchen was lovely and modern with ample space to cook, eat and relax. The pool was very refreshing and a nice size to be able to swim and cool off in, getting the sun for the majority of the day, and late into the evening. The bedrooms were well kept, spacious and cool, and the bathrooms all fantastic. All the staff went well out of their way to ensure we had all we needed. Found the Turkish people to be very friendly and sincere. We can't express how much we enjoyed the holiday in Kalkan. It would be very hard to find a nicer villa and all round package in this price bracket.
