The Turquoise Coast/Lycia region
Within 15 minutes of Kalkan there are two of the best beaches along the Mediterranean (The Sunday Times) - Patra beach having 18 kilometres of golden sands and the picture postcard beach of Kaputas.There is so much to do: hire a gulet boat for a wonderful lazy day exploring local bays, swimming and snorkeling in the crystal clear water; go to Xanthos, the ancient and grand Lycian city; cool off at Saklikent Gorge, a highly refreshing walk finished off with an unforgettable meal on wooden platforms suspended over the river; visit Kekova Island, one of the most stunning unspoilt areas of the Med with a hilltop fort and a magical sunken Lycian city: visit Kas for some fabulous shopping, only 20 minutes away. The drive to Kas is considered to be one of the very best coastal drives in the world with simply breathtaking views of the famous Turquoise Coast, not to be missed. All round Kalkan you can find many 'Beach Resorts' - where you can have a lazy day, swimming and just chilling out.
Kalkan / Central Kalkan area
Villa Angel is located right in the centre of Kalkan. Everything in the village is within very easy walking distance - bars, restaurants, shops, marina for boat hire, the beach, bus stop, Turkish Bath, internet cafe, Banks - everything! There is a local supermarket a 100 yards away - perfect to get fresh warm bread for breakfast, locally grown olives and to stock up the fridge with wine and beer.
Because of the terrific central location a car is not a necessity - and you'll save money by not needing taxis. The bus (or 'dolmus' in Turkish) stop is just around the corner - where you can catch a ride to a whole range of great destinations - the fabulous beaches of Patara and Kaputas, the town of Kas and many wonderful historic sites. Busses leave frequently throughout the day. Of course, if you wish to travel independently it is easy to rent a car or motorcycle - either by the week or by the day. There are numerous companies providing this service.
How to get there
The nearest airport is Dalaman, with frequent flights arriving from all the main UK airports. Dalaman is about a 90 minute transfer by taxi, the cost is approximately £45 each way. Transfers can be easily arranged for you. A good tip is always to have some ten pound notes with you when you fly into Dalaman - you have to buy a three month visitor's visa (just a stamp inside your passport) which cost £10. They like foreign currency!

Further details indoors: Villa Angel is on one level with steps down to the swimming pool. There is air conditioning throughout and and mosquito plugs throughout the villa .Two double bedrooms with a king sized en-suite master bedroom with shower, bidet and WC. Full length mirror in bedrooms. There is a large open style kitchen, dining and lounge area (with two large very comfortable sofas) that extends to a large outside terrace with sun blind - perfect for outdoor dining. There are huge terraces with wonderful views overlooking the bay complete with furniture and umbrellas, in addition there are outdoor balconies with differing views - a big choice of where to relax and forget life's problems. This stylish Villa is incredibly well equipped with everything from a coffee cafetiere to champagne glasses. Villa Angel is suitable for children, but due to the steps not suitable for older guests with mobility problems. Villas are cleaned weekly, there is a linen change weekly. Beach and bath towels are provided.
Bathrooms: 1 bathroom Bathroom 1 - Outdoor Shower, Bathroom 2 - Toilet,Shower Enclosure,Bidet, One bathroom is en-suite to the master bedroom. The other bathroom is separate - having a WC, bidet and shower.

Double Bed, Magnificent king siked bed Bedroom 2 - 1 Double Bed Villa Angel is beautiful, very stylish and individual - this extends to the design of the bedrooms - particularly the large master en suite bedroom finished in the bright white and cobalt blue colour theme throughout the villa. There is ample wardrobe space available.
Further details outdoors: There are four luxury sun loungers for villa guests to use in the gardens and around the pool.
The swimming pool is spectacular - the largest and best in Kalkan, it even has an indoor area (with jacuzzi jets) where you can keep cool and refreshed during the hottest time of the day.

There is a TV and DVD/CD players -we recommend you bring your own favourite DVDs and CDs There is a no smoking policy inside the villa but there are numerous places to smoke outside - on terraces, balconies, gardens. Bath and beach towels are provided.
It would be appreciated that when guests leave they put all dirty bath and beach towels in a pile near the front door, so the villa cleaners know which towels are dirty.

NB: Prices may be subject to change at the owner's discretion.
Each week is a standard rate of £800 during the peak season - prices do not increase because of school holidays.No increase for 2009 holidays if booked by December 31 2008! The weekly rate is for the villa - independent if there is one person staying or four people staying. Prices do not include flights,transfers to and from the airport or any car hire. A 50% non refundable deposit required on confirmation of booking. The 50% balance must be paid within 6 weeks before the start of the holiday.
There is also a damaged items deposit of £200 to be paid at the same time as the second 50% holiday cost (6 weeks before holiday starts) - this deposit is refundable within 6 weeks of the end of the holiday. If damages occur please immediately inform my partners in Kalkan. Partners are called Abi Travel, who are easy to find, on the right hand side of the main road down into Kalkan. The contact there is Linda. Payment to be made by cheque (which needs to be cleared) or preferably by bank electronic transfer.
