The Turquoise Coast/Lycia region
Rooftop restaurants with breathtaking vistas, a stylish marina, an 'old town' of paved winding streets, beach clubs on rocky outcrops - all combined with nearby Lycian and Roman ruins. Hire a gulet boat for a lazyday exploring the local bays, swimming and snorkeling and then enjoying a splendid lunch on board; go to Xanthos, the grand Lycian city with spectacular mosaics about 20 minutes away; visit Patara and Kaputas beaches, two of the most enchanting along the entire Med coastline - both about 15 minutes drive away in opposite directions; cool of at Saklikent Gorge, a refreshing walk followed with an unforgettable meal on suspended wooden platforms above the river; visit Kekova Island, a stunning unspoilt area with hilltop fort along with a magical sunken Lycian city. Or just do nothing - and enjoy yourself!
Kalkan area
Kalkan stoney beach is about a five minute drive away. Actually Kalkan having a stoney beach is a great virtue as it's meant that the huge hotel groups haven't taken over- and this charming resort hasn't suffered from mass marketing tourism. But Kalkan is very well served with two fabulous sandy beaches only 15 minutes drive away. To the north is Patara Beach with its Roman gladiatorial stadium half submerged in sand dunes and 7 miles of golden sands - Patara is considered by The Sunday Times as amongst the top six beaches in the world! Busses leave for Patara about every 30 minutes from Kalkan. There is also the stunning picture postcard Kaputas Beach in the opposite direction, crystal clear water along what is called 'the turquoise coast'. Kaputas is on the road to Kas, which is well worth a visit as well.
How to get there
The nearest airport is Dalaman, with frequent flights arriving from all the main UK airports. Dalaman is about a 90 minute transfer by taxi, the cost is approximately £45 each way. Transfers can be easily arranged for you. A good tip is always to have some ten pound notes with you when you fly into Dalaman - you have to buy a three month visitor's visa (just a stamp inside your passport) which cost £10. They like foreign currency! Car hire is recommended - this can be easily arranged. We recommend that this is arranged locally at Kalkan - the car being delivered to your door. Car hire contact details can be provided - as an indication of price a family sized car costs approximately £25 per day.

Further details indoors: To say Villa Dream is spacious is a very big understatement - it's huge. There are three floors, each with a shaded balcony running along the front of the entire Villa. There is a massive open air top terrace to view the superb sunsets. There are five bedrooms - three are large doubles and two are twin bedrooms. En-suite bathrooms and showers throughout. Large well equipped open style kitchen with fridge freezer, oven, mixer, kettle, toaster and dishwasher - everything you'll need. Separate room with washing machine in. Very comfortable main lounge with Mediterranean style rendered seating (see photos). Television/DVD/CD- we recommend you bring your own favourite DVDs and CDs. Please note - satellite television is not available, you won't miss it at Villa Dream! There's a second studio lounge, perfect for teenagers to chill out in. Air conditioning throughout.

The Villa is very suitable for children - having a lot of space and private pools. The Villa is in an enclosed walled area - very secure and private. There is a TV/DVD/CD - we recommend you bring your own favourite Dvds and CD'S. There is a non smoking policy inside the villa but there are numerous places to smoke outside - on terraces, balconies, gardens. Both bath and beach towels are provided.It would be appreciated that when guests leave they put all dirty bath and beach towels in a pile near the front door - so it is clear to the villa cleaners which are dirty. The villa's cleaned and linen changed once a week. In addition in the middle of the week there is a light clean by a maid. Please wash off suntan oil/cream before going to bed - as the suntan oil stains the linen. Due to the Villa location a hire car is advisable, alternatively taxis can be used, these are very reasonably priced. There is a fitted safe. There is a small shop 100 yards away selling groceries & fresh bread.

NB: Prices may be subject to change at the owner's discretion. Special Offer : 25% reduction for the first year on this brand new villa in 2008. As Villa Dream is a family villa we do not increase rental prices during school holidays. There is one price per week from April 2008 until November 2008. Booking terms as follows: on booking confirmation 50% paid. Within 6 weeks of the start of the holiday the 50% balance is paid. These payments are non refundable. A refundable damage/loss deposit of £200 is paid within 6 weeks of the start of the holiday. Following the villa being checked this is refundable within 6 weeks of the end of the holiday.
Payments preferably made by internet bank transfer - alternatively, by cheque (monies to be cleared before booking is deemed confirmed) or by cash. A basic welcome pack is provided on arrival, this includes: water, milk, tea, coffee, sugar, butter, jam, bread.
