Perfectly situated and very competitively priced in the centre of Kalkan this Luxury apart is equipped with comfort in mind.
Very spacious duplex with views of the mountains,mosque and pool. Partial Sea view from terrace. Although central this is a peaceful location.
Large pool and terrace with well established garden to relax in.
Large balconies and terrace for private sunbathing,alfresco meals or sundowners.
All amenities a 2 minute walk and a 5min stroll to the top of the old town with its many fine rooftop restaurants.

Short winters and long summers mean a long season. Height of Summer can be hot for sightseeing . Spring and Autumn great for both sunning or walking,sightseeing etc.

The Kalkan / Central Kalkan area

Kalkan was a fishing village that was discovered by the yachts in the 60,s. Although it has grown considerably the old town has kept its charm with charming old buildings,cobbled hilly streets lined with bouganvillia and lots of shops selling local arts and crafts. There are also many restaurants many with rooftop terraces with lovely views of the bay. Restaurants are of very good quality and all types of food can be found. Kalkan is a sophisticated resort. There is a town beach but many people use the many beach clubs dotted around the bays all with free transfers with beds and swimming platforms. Watersports,Diving,boat trips all to be found here as well as many excursions available.
When asked about Kalkan there are two answers.'Never heard of it' or 'We go every year'

Kalkan is easy to get to.
Nearest airport is Dalaman which has many flights thorughout the holiday season.
Dalaman is app1.5 hrs from Dalaman airport an easy and picturesque journey. Car hire is readily available. We can also arrange airport transfers for you.
Antalya airport is 3hrs from Kalkan again transfer and car hire available.
There are many cheap flights to Dalaman but Turkish airlines take you scheduled.

“Fantastic Holiday at Sea Breeze-Meltem apartment in Kalkan.” I cannot recommend these apartments enough, I am shocked by the previous review as I had been advised to stay in this same apartment by friends that had stayed the year previous. After arriving from Dalman Airport after a 5 hour flight from Cork it was a pleasure to enter a spacious, light and spotless apartment. There was 4 of us and both couples had rooms on on different levels, each room had a separate balcony which gave us all some extra privacy. The room on the higher level did have a sloping roof but I found it extremely quirky and bags'd that room immediately. I loved the view of the mosque and loved hearing the worship prayers through-out the day while sunbathing. Midweek there is a a market in the square in front of the apartment, it was amazing to watch the market being set up, unbelievable really I got some great photo's of it all happening, shows you how hard some of these people have to work. The grounds were charming, the pool area was well decked out with sun lounges although we went to the beach most days it also had a small barbeque area, which we used a few nights. The fridge was stocked with milk, butter, cheese, olives, juice and WINE, along with fresh bread, tea and coffee!!!! It was such a welcome package I could'nt believe it, as it meant we didn't have to drop our bags and rush out for something to eat. To call these apartments shabby is offensive they are beautiful and well worth the money. We knew that the apartment was a short walk from the main actively that is why we booked it, it only took 10 mins max to walk to the beach and a taxi up the hill if you could'nt manage it did not threaten to damage the holiday funds. The owners Ersin and Laura were wonderful, they could not have been more helpful or friendly. We met anotehr English couple who were on their 5th stay at the same apartments. In fact the whole holiday was so good that we are definely going back next June, the only problem is there are only 3 apartments so we need to book fast. Response: Thank you for your great review.
