"Stunning view from a lovely apartment"
Olympus apartment is a really nice, modern apartment with absolutely wonderful views over Kalkan bay with the harbour on the right. My wife and I took our two teenage sons and so having three bedrooms and two bathrooms was really useful as we all had our own space. In past Turkish holidays we have had to use local buses to get to the nearest towns, but the pretty nearby harbour with numerous restaurants, bars and shops is less than 15 minutes-walk from the apartment. We found Kalkan town to be spotless and the people very friendly and courteous. Restaurant and shop owners in Kalkan are not nearly as pushy as they are in Bodrum, which is a nice change. In any case a polite "tamam" which means, "I'm alright" in Turkish is all you need to decline an invitation to someone with a restaurant flyer or to by-pass a stall owner in the market. The restaurants are all pretty good and the four of us could usually eat in the evenings for between £60 and £90.00 (including wine and a few cokes.) Food shopping (especially salad products) is ridiculously cheap which was great as we cooked in the apartment several times. There is a traditional Turkish market in the town every Thursday which is a fun way to spend a few hours. For general shopping there is a Migros (a bit like a small Tesco Extra) in Kalkan but we found some other locally owned shops which we felt were better - one of which was called Yalli, I believe.
In terms of the apartment itself, we found it had pretty much everything you could need. One very small thing was that the TV only had two Turkish channels and when we tried to watch one of the DVDs available in the apartment we could only get a black and white picture and we couldn't figure out how to change this. It wasn't a major problem as we were out most evenings anyway.
Yusef (the on-site representative of the apartment owners) is a really nice guy and very helpful. Any problems, and he is just a phone call away. The shared swimming pool isn't huge but it's perfectly adequate and is kept very clean. One thing I would mention is there are quite a few cracked tiles around the pool area, some of which have sharp edges. These should probably be replaced at some point soon to avoid anyone cutting their feet. This isn't a complaint, simply an observation.
We had a lovely family holiday and would definitely consider returning to Olympos Apartment. In closing, we would recommend the Turkish massage (Hamam) at Hotel Pirot. It takes about an hour and a half altogether and was great value at £120.00 for the four of us. We all came away feeling cleansed and relaxed! We booked our Hamam for the last day of our holiday but recommend anyone to do it at the start of the holiday in order to get your skin exfoliated and ready to tan - sensibly of course!

"A surprisingly nice place to stay for vacation!!!!"
My husband & I had thoroughly enjoyed staying in your lovely apartment which was bright, clean and beautifully furnished. The view from your apartment was breath taking. The pool was lovely and clean. The place was quiet and not at all over crowded. The manager was friendly and helpful. All in all we had a great holiday and would definitely like to return for a longer stay next time.

"Good location, good complex and great views"
Two of us stayed at Isabel's Olympos Apartment 12 in August and had a very nice stay. It is in a very good position with views across to Kalkan and is clean and well appointed.
The views of Kalkan and across the bay are wonderful. It is close enough to Kalkan for a short walk into the town (15 minutes) but far enough away to be quiet. The road behind the apartment does not cause any noise issues.
The apartment is well presented. We did very little cooking but the kitchen is well stocked with appliances. There is plenty of storage and the safe was useful. The living area is comfortable but we spent most of the time on the balcony.
The balcony was a wonderful place for breakfast and for watching the boats leaving and returning, and of course to watch the sunset. However it can be too hot and bright during the heat of the day in the peak of summer. The balcony has a table and upright chairs but no sun beds or sun shades.
The pool area is a pleasant place to spend some time. There are plenty of sun beds and sun shades and the pool is kept very clean. Bougainville and other plants help to soften the surroundings.
The beach club is a short walk/climb (200 steps) below the apartment and is a very pleasant place to spend a day. The swimming is excellent and the food is very well presented. The staff are also extremely friendly. You can sit in one of the Ottomans and have your lunch and a cold beer. There is a small daily charge to use the club which is added to your drinks/food bill at the end. This covers the use of the sun beds/Ottomans.
The restaurants of Kalkan are one of the highlights and don't miss the chance of a day out on a boat. The sea around here is as clear as anywhere I have been in the world . We went with Green Blue and had a very good day out with excellent food.
A very pleasant week and we will return to Kalkan in the future. We would certainly consider returning to this apartment in the future.
Thank you Isabel.
