About the home

Jasmine Villa is a privately designed and built house, perfectly located on a large, half acre plot right at the edge of the old centre of Kalkan. The Villa has extensive terracing and gardens at every level, both shaded and sunny, affording guests spectacular sea views or secluded shade, depending on their mood. The magnificent swimming pool (15m x 7m) is the largest private pool in Kalkan.

This is the perfect villa for doing absolutely nothing!

All rooms in the Villa are air conditioned and have cool marble flooring. During the winter 2011/2012 the Villa has been extensively updated and redecorated. Still offering three double bedrooms, there is now a modern fitted kitchen with oven, hob, dishwasher and large fridge which extends open plan to the living area to the front of the ground floor (18' x 23') also on this level are a rear twin bedroom, 13' x 9', a second twin bedroom to the right of the front door, 13' x 10'. there is also a family bathroom with bath, shower, loo and washbasin and a further shower room and loo in the utility room downstairs. Upstairs is now the master bedroom, 14' x 13' with en-suite shower, loo and basin alongside opening on to two large outside terraces of 20 and 25 square metres.

Jasmine Villa really comes into its own outside. The Villa is situated in a large half acre plot with the house centrally placed and surrounding the huge (15m x 7m) swimming pool. There are in excess of 300m2 of cool Travertine terraces at several levels around the Villa and pool with places to enjoy full sun, sun-dappled or full shade with many different places to set table and chairs and relax. The plot is planted with mature gardens which further enhance the secluded nature of the property. The views from the top terraces or the pool terraces over the bay and islands are spectacular. Outside the kitchen/living room is a new suspended terrace with pergola which overlooks the Harbour and Bay and is ideal for outside dining and drinks.

Conditions

Kalkan is hilly and though the route to the village is pretty level it may not suit the elderly. Very young children need to be well supervised as most paving is stone and there are lots of steps.

The Turquoise Coast/Lycia region

The Turquoise Coast and Lycia region of Turkey is home to some of its most well known resorts. Olu Deniz is famed for its blue lagoon, and the whole of the coastline is spectacular. For those who like nightlife and plenty to do, Fethiye and Bodrum are great for combining ancient sights and wonders with modern facilities. Marmaris is a more European style resort, but still boasts a lovely old town quarter.

The Kalkan / Central Kalkan area

There is much to do in around Kalkan, from parascending toTurkish baths and the locality has some great local restaurants, especially along the lovely harbourside where you can enjoy the spectacle of the fishing boats and the bright lights in the evening. The beach by the harbour is a nice spot to relax but also offers various activities, and there is a market on Thursday and plenty of shops and supermarkets to provide everything from souvenirs to local produce.

Kalkan also has plenty of historic sites, including Patara, Xanthos, Letoon, which are all quite close, and Olympos, Myra and Ephesus further away. Saklikent Gorge is also very worth a visit and a great spot for a family day out.

“A little bit of paradise!” Villa Jasmine is quite simply put - GORGEOUS!! We have travelled to many places in the world for many lovely holidays but our 16 days in Kalkan this August was one of the nicest holidays we have ever had. For us it ticked all the boxes! Perfect, luxurious surroundings for relaxing and doing very little in the gorgeous Turkish sunshine during the day. The magnificent pool and the breath taking views from the terraces are outstanding. Then a short stroll to a vibrant and lively Kalkan in the evening with an outstanding choice of good quality restaurants and the most fantastic holiday atmosphere without being obviously 'touristy!' Quite simply put PERFECT!! Without a doubt we will be returning, very soon I hope!

With pleasure. We had a wonderful holiday and both of us thought the villa was absolutely fantastic. The description of the villa was very detailed and exactly as described, if anything the views from the many terraces were even more stunning than we had expected.

We really appreciated the Villa's location being only a few minutes stroll from both the Old town and the Harbour and within easy reach of all Kalkan has to offer. In fact sitting outside it was easy to think that we had the best villa in Kalkan. The transfers were smoothly handled by Gubruz and his team, and he popped by regularly to make sure we had all that we needed.
The cleaners were there every morning keeping the pool and terraces clean and were very welcoming.

Overall we felt privileged to be able stay at the villa and I would not hestitate to recommed it to anyone. I have already shown it to colleagues at work some of whom are regular visitors to Kalkan and everone wants to go there.

Dear Andrew, Have just returned from Kalkan, we have had a really lovely holiday and I just wanted to say that your Villa Jasmine was just fantastic, as you said the gardens and the pool area were magnificent and I really cannot agree more,our family just adored it and our little grandchild aged just 4 years learnt to swim in the pool, by the end of the holiday she was able to swim across the width. For us it is the only place to stay.
