Constantia
About the home
Constantia is one of the largest of the nine individually designed Komurluk apartments which have already become extremely popular with visitors to Kalkan. The L shaped living and dining area has a fully equipped kitchen and the spacious double bedrooms both have en suite facilities, masses of storage space, and, being at the rear of the block, offer a cooler night's sleep.
However it is the huge front balcony which provides the apartment with its 'wow' factor and results in so many of our repeat bookings. The extendable sun blinds ensure privacy for dining or sunbathing, and the views are simply amazing. The apartment block has a large shared sunbathing patio and pool area and the 'village' centre is a 12 to15 minute stroll away

There are numerous reasons why holidaymakers return to Kalkan time and time again. If you want to 'chill out' you can dine on your apartment balcony, swim in the apartment pool and wander down to town in the evening to eat at your chosen restaurant. However If you want to be more active there are numerous things to do and interesting places to visit:-
Swimming, Beaches and Watersports
The many beach clubs dotted around the bay including The Palm Beach Club directly below the apartments
Diving and snorkelling at Kalamar (2k) and Kas (29k)
Kaputas beach with its 188 steps and wonderful turqouise sea (4k)
Patara beach - 17 km of uncrowded sand and warm sea (10k)
Places to Visit
Kas - Catch the regular bus or dolmus and enjoy the magnificent 29k coast road scenery
Fethiye - a one hour car journey will get you to this large town with its scenic waterfront, casbah shopping area in the old town, ancient rock tombs and modern supermarkets.
Sakilikent Gorge - the second largest gorge in Europe - magnificent, wade through the icy cold water at the head of the gorge
The markets - buy your excellent fake copy Tshirts, watches, shoes etc from the markets at Fethiye ( Tuesday ) Kalkan ( Thursday ) or Kas ( Friday )
Olu Deniz and Karakoy ( The 'Dead City' )
Ephesus and Pammukale - two day trips run from Kalkan
The Kalkan / Komurluk area
Once an old Greek fishing village Kalkan is now a friendly, sophisticated resort rich in traditional charm and character. A network of narrow streets and alleyways winding down to the harbour make Kalkan the prettiest resort along the Lycian coast.
Quiet by day the resort comes to life after dusk. For many visitors dining out in the evening is the highlight of the holiday - with a large number of excellent roof top and other restaurants, cafes and bars catering for all tastes and pockets. After your meal try shopping at the numerous boutiques and small shops which litter the alleyways. The resort has several mini supermarkets, banks, chemists, a Turkish Bath. and a post office.
Whilst I have no experience of the Turkish Bath I can certainly recommend both the men's hairdressing and the local dentist, both of these services being much cheaper than in England.
Komurluk has developed as the most select area of Kalkan, boasting a relatively small number of expensive properties. The Komurluk apartments have superb sea views which are neither distant nor patially obstructed and Manzarali, which is Turkish for 'with a view', allows guests a wonderful view of Kalkan harbour.

We have just returned from a two week stay in Constantia we found the apartment to be just as described with uninterrupted views of the beautiful blue sea and Kalkan (approx 15min walk from apartment). We spent a great deal of our holiday on the very large balcony which we found ideal for sunbathing and dining. We highly recommend this apartment and we will definitely return in the future. Kalkan is such a hidden gem with fantastic restuarants in our opionion the best in the med. |

We had a truly wonderful holiday in your lovely apartment - definitely the best in the block. Everything was extremely well appointed - I have never had so much wardrobe space and will have to bring more to fill it next year! The balcony was just fantastic, we ate in on several occasions just because the view could not be bettered, definitely a personal rooftop terrace. As to the sunset - just amazing....

WOW, what a wonderful holiday!. Constantia was the perfect base for our stay. The apartment has every amenity you could need, with the added bonus of two en suites plus a utility room. The stunning views from the balcony ( the best in Kalkan if not the whole of the Med ) are sensational, with enough space for 4 to sunbathe with plenty of room to spare. Dining in front of the sunset was a delight. We will be back and are recommending this piece of paradise to our friends.

We have had a wonderful holiday.Kalkan is a superb place to visit with lovely restaurants, bars and excellent shopping. Constantia is ideally located and we absolutely loved our relaxing holiday, the views from the terrace are spectacular and we could spend all day sitting watching the boats coming in and out of the harbour. We will definitely be back

Thank you for a great time. Constantia must have the best location in Kalkan - near enough for a leisurely stroll but away from the traffic, noise & bustle of the town but our most treasured memories will be of the time spent on your fabulous balcony, enjoying the breathtaking panorama from sunrise to sunset. Hope to comeback soon. Sue & Robert Beardsley
We had a wonderful two weeks in Kalkan plenty to see and do, thank you for your info pack it was an excellent guide. Your apartment itself was an added bonus, spacious, tastefully furnished & well equipped, as for the balcony what can we say it certainly had the 'wow' factor with fabulous views yet also remaining private, we have already recommended it to family and friends. Thanks also to the guys Umit & Omer - they were friendly and helpful when needed.

Lisa, Hannah and myself had an absolutely wonderful holiday. The apartment was everything we could have asked for ( and what a view ) Kalkan was a great place and a good base for all the travelling around we did. Overall we must score the holiday a resounding 10 out of 10 and like most people we intend to return sooner rather than later Andrew Heather Watford
We were extremely impressed with the resort and the apartment. Kalkan is a special place and still relatively unspoilt. The apartment was spotless and furnished to a high standard with more than adequate facilities and the views from the terrace are breathtaking. Both Umit and Omer were very helpful.

Just a quick e mail to let you know what an amazing time we had in Kalkan and to say thank you for all your help. The apartment was beyond expectation, huge and very up together, with no photos doing it justice. I will definitely be recommending it to others and we are very sad to be back
