Kasarini Villa has undoubtably one the best sea views in Kalkan from every room and private pool area. Our beautiful spacious, 3 year old, 3 bed, 4 bath villa is in the quiet, select area of Kalamar and is situated at the end of a private road. The villa is genuinely only 5 minutes walk to sea and the beach club where all water sports are available. It is also within easy walking distance to shops and restaurants and the pretty town of Kalkan with its beach, harbour and enticing shops is about a 15 - 20 minute walk or 5 minutes by car or taxi.
Our villa is totally secluded with an attractive high wall separating the house next door on one side, the slopes of the theTaurus mountainside on the other side and nothing in front - just sea views! It also has a private secure lockable wrought iron gate at the base of the steps leading up to the villa.
Kasarini Villa is beautifully furnished to the highest standard throughout. Ouside there there is a 7.5 m x 3.5m private infinity pool and an extensive wooden decked terrace with built in barbeque and dining table and chairs for al fresco meals, surrounded by lush tropical plants. There is also a large private garage.
Our villa offers the chance of culture (many intersting places to visit within an hours drive) adventure, (watersports and sailing a few minutes walk away) and relaxation (by the pool enjoying the view and watching the dolphins and sailing boats from your lounger)

The Turquoise Coast/Lycia region
Kalkan is situated in the south west corner of the Turquoise Coast and is surrounded by the Taurus Mountains. It is considered to be a more sophisticated choice than the average holiday resort and is a charming genuine old Ottoman fishing town with quaint whitewashed houses with wooden balconies laden with trailing colourful flowers.
There are many enticing boutiques and shops situated in these houses which sell among other items, lovely glassware, local pottery, silver jewelery, 'designer' clothes and leather bags
Kalkan is renowned for its vast choice of superb restaurants which are considered by many to be the best in Turkey. They are situated on the roof terraces where you can dine under the stars or down by the harbour where you can eat by candlelight while watching the gulets sail in.
Winding cobbled streets lead down to the pretty harbour below where day trips can be taken from the harbour by gulet around the beautiful Turquoise Coast and you can swim and goggle in the clear blue sea. A delicious lunch and soft drinks are served. There is a small beach in Kalkan where umbrellas and loungers can be hired and the swimming is good.
There are several small supermarkets selling almost all items which are available in the UK and 2 banks with ATM machines. There are also several chemists and internet cafes and the shops stay open until very late in the summer months.
The Turkish people are very friendly and welcoming and help to make Kalkan a very special place.
The medical services are excellent and inexpensive. There is a small hospital in Kalkan and a large one in Fethiye about an hour away
Kalkan / Kalamar Bay area
There are many places of interest to visit nearby such as Xanthos, Thios, Myra, the river gorge at Saklikent and the famous 12 miles of sandy beach at Patara which was recently voted the best beach in the world in the Sunday Times. Horse riding is available on this beach and there are many ruins to visit at Patara.
Fethiye is a lovely harbour town about an hour away and is well worth a visit for the excellent leather and gold shops with very reasonable prices and for the famous daily fish market where once you have chosen from the huge display of freshly caught fish you can sit at any of the nearby open air restaurants and have your fish cooked for you in any way you like and served with a salad for a couple of pounds. There is also a weekly market selling everything from local farm produce to designer clothes.
There are many activities available such as walking the Lycian Way, diving, watersports, horse riding, parasailing, water rafting, canoeing over sunken ancient cities, jet skiing and visiting trout farms in the mountains where there are some excellent restaurants
How to get there
Charter and scheduled flights fly direct to Dalaman Airport from most UK airports during the season. The flight time is about 4 hours. We recommend www.onurair.com.tr/ for good inexpensive flights all year round, www.xl.com. www.avro.co.uk also try www.cheapflights.co.uk. Alternatively it is possible to fly to Dalaman via Istanbul by Easy Jet and then Turkish Airlines, to Dalaman which often works out less expensive.
Travel time from Dalaman to the villa takes approximately 1.5 hours driving through some stunning scenery. We can arrange transport to the villa in an air conditioned car for about £45 or mini bus for about £55 each way. We can also arrange car hire at excellent rates although when in Kalkan car hire is not essential as there is a very good local dolmus service and taxis are plentiful and reasonable!

Further details indoors: The villa is on 3 floors with stunning uninterrupted sea views from all rooms. On the ground floor there is a hallway with attractive wooden Ottoman cupboard, a large separate tiled wet room with shower and toilet and the spacious living area has 3 sets of glass doors leading to terrace and pool area. There are 2 comfortable wrought iron sofas and 2 matching chairs, glass topped coffee table, Turkish rugs and paintings, flat screen satellite TV, DVD and CD player. The dining area has a wrought iron table and 6 matching chairs with cushions which match outdoor chairs. There is a fully fitted kitchen and separate laundry room.
There is a spacious landing with doors leading onto another terrace on the first floor with 2 double bedrooms, one with en suite shower and twin beds and one with double bed and an en suite bathroom, both have dressing rooms and balconies and stunning sea viiews.
The 3rd bedroom is on the top floor and has twin beds and doors opening onto the roof terrace. It has an en suite bathroom and dressing room. All have wooden floors and hand built wooden wardrobes and dressing tables with mirrors. The headboards are wrought iron as are the bedside tables and chairs. There are Turkish rugs on the floors and paintings on the walls. The roof terrace is furnished with low Ottoman chairs and copper tables. There are fantastic 100% sea and mountain viiews from here.
Further details outdoors: The villa is approached by a flight of steps leading from a covered area next to the private garage. The private illuminated infinity pool is surrounded by an extensive wooden decked terrace with wooden loungers, comfortable cushions and large umbrellas.
There is a built in barbeque and an al fresco dining area with a glass topped wrought iron table and 6 matching chairs with cushions which match indoor chairs as table will seat 10. There are lush tropical plants surrounding the villa and to the left is an olive clad mountainside. To the front there are uninterrupted, breathtaking views. panoramic sea and mountain views from the terrace and pool area as well as all rooms
Further details
A welcome pack consisiting of water, butter, bread, honey, eggs, milk, tea and coffee is provided on arrival.
A clean and linen/towel change is provided every 3 days
Extra cleaning, laundry and baby sitting can be arranged at an extra cost

please note that pool is not fenced and that our villa may not be suitable for people with walking problems due to the stairs leading up to the villa.
Conditions
A 20% deposit is due on booking the villa and the balance is due 8 weeks prior to commencement of your holiday. There is a refundable damage deposit of £150 payable with the final payment. This will be refunded to you within 2 weeks of your return subject to satisfactory property inspection.
