About the home

Upon entering ADA Villa, you are instantly presented with spectacular sea views framed in the large floor to ceiling windows and sliding doors. ADA is luxuriously appointed throughout with a large, open planned, split level living area and modern, sleek, granite topped kitchen.

The contemporary, open plan living area opens out to the beautiful granit marble patio with large infinity pool ADA is designed over 3 floors with air conditioning throughout and sea view balconies to each bedroom. Each bedroom is designed with luxurious en suite wet-room showers, additionally the master bedroom has a free-standing, contemporary jakuzzi overlooking both bays.

Welcome pack on arrival. Towels, pool towels and linen are provided. Weekly maid service and linen change on changeover day. Pool and grounds maintained daily. Additional midweek clean inc towel and linen change is available for £40.
Lounge is furnished with L shaped sofa & chairs from which you admire the full views of the sea from the large window. Another sofa near the 42" LCD TV gives the entertainment enthusiasts space to enjoy Playstation 3, CD/Ipod docking station.

Further details outdoors:
The outdoor (unheated) 10m x 8m private pool (with evening lighting) area offers tiled patio areas which have sunbeds and parasols. There is also a shaded pergola that has lighting with Rattan furniture and an undercover dining area provides seating for 8 people. A barbeque is also available.

Outdoor lighting is supplied around the villa and at the front of the property.

There is an external CCTV system and house alarm.

An outdoor shower is also located near the pool area.

The Turquoise Coast/Lycia region

This region of Turkey is steeped in ancient history and consequently, there are numerous ancient sites to visit as well as plenty of other places of interest - these are just a few of the options open to you:

BEACHES:

Kalkan is protected from ‘mass tourism’, by its lack of obvious beaches - although the village pebble beach (next to the harbour) has now been attractively extended by the Kalkan Foundation. Luckily for those of us that frequent Kalkan, we know that the local beaches are stunning.

Kaputas Beach
A dolmus (local bus) from the village centre takes ten minutes to reach Kaputas Beach, a lovely sand and pebble beach dramatically positioned at the foot of a huge ravine – though be warned about the many steps! (please note that there are no sunbeds and parasols for hire on Kaputas Beach).

Patara Beach
Slightly further a field, though well worth the dolmus ride (20-30 minutes), is Patara Beach. Its 12 miles of golden sand is home to protected turtles and it has been described as one of the most beautiful stretches of sand in all of Turkey. Entrance to the beach is through the ruins of the ancient city and if you come by car, you’ll need to pay a small entrance fee. Sunbeds and parasols are avilable for hire and there is a restaurant on the beach with toilet and shower facilities.

Beach Clubs
Beach Clubs abound and are easily accessible. These are rock gardens cut into the hillside offering sunbathing, swimming, water-sports, restaurant and bar facilities, together with a wonderful ambience in stunning settings. Kalamar Beach Club is situated in Kalamar Bay and the Yali Beach Club is accessible via free taxi service. Sun loungers and parasols are available for rent.

The Kalkan area

Winding cobbled streets, colourful shops and excellent harbour-side or roof terrace restaurants and bars are combined with stunning views; whether you are looking up to the dramatic mountains behind the town, or down across the harbour to the broad sweep of the Mediterranean – the view of which, we guarantee, will never tire you!
The standard of dining in Kalkan is a wonderful surprise.

There is a wide variation of Mediterranean and European cuisine offered in marina front and roof top restaurants. The food quality is exceptional and is widely praised on Tripadvisor.

Swimming and water sport opportunities abound. The town pebble beach has been carefully and attractively extended. There are also several beach clubs with fantastic facilities including free use of water-sports, refreshments, sunbeds and swimming platforms.

There are also stunning beaches in the immediate vicinity, with Patara Beach an obvious example.
Patara is a few minutes away by car or taxi, and is regularly featured as one of the Mediterranean’s most beautiful and undiscovered beaches. At the entrance to Patara is an ancient area of ruins including amphitheatre in amazing condition.

Kaputas beach is a few minutes the opposite side of Kalkan. It is a beautiful sandy beach found at the foot of a ravine and is considered to be one of the most photographed beaches in Turkey.

Saklikent Gorge is a 20km-long canyon that is about 35 mins drive from Kalkan. It is a lovely place to come and while away your time, and for those with a more active frame of mind, it's an excellent place to indulge in outdoor pursuits including canoeing,hiking or rafting. You can easily get to Saklikent Gorge by car or local dolmus.

Restaurants,decked out with Turkish rugs,comfy cushions and shaded by fig trees,serve freshly caught trout for lunch or supper with beer, soft drinks or melon, cooled by the ice-cold waters off the mountains. Have a paddle in the waters and see how long you can stand in it with the ice cold water around your feet.

• In summer both are well served by a number of carriers from UK and Europe.
• In winter, flights are also available, but less frequent.
