The villa has recently been refurbished to a high standard and provides spacious, comfortable accommodation for up to 4 people. The fully fitted kitchen opens onto the living room, dining room and onto the terrace with stunning views over bourgainvillea blossoms and the Mediterranean. The beauty of this villa is that it is completely self contained, yet with the use of all the excellent facilities of the resort in which it is situated. This is one of the few holiday places on the coast with direct access into the sea and acclaimed by many travellers as the best situation on the Turkey coast. A unique self contained resort with outstanding facilities and yet only a boat ride away from the lively, lovely town of Kalkan with over 100 restaurants and a variety of shops and supermarkets. The terrace of the villa overlooks the sea and mountains via a canopy of bourgainvillea, amid lush tropical gardens and staggered terraces with stunning views.
"Everything we were told about Kalkan and the resort was true, stunning setting, superb view and a villa that finally lived up to its internet billing, fantastic facilities and great hosts. Sitting on the terrace with a long cool drink, watching the sunset, is about as good as it gets. Thanks for everything ".

Many Turks have pronounced this location as the most beautiful on the coast of Turkey. The hotel at the centre of the resort, and surrounding villas, are adorned with many coloured bougainvillea and other exotic plants of every description. Palm fringed walkways and lawns interspersed with tropical fruit trees fill the air with perfume and shower the ground with blossom.
The resort is secured by a gated enclosure and protected by 24 hour security services. A free all day shuttle-bus service runs regularly within the resort from the gate at the entrance down to the restaurant and pools overlooking the sea. There is a hotel in the centre of the resort which has internet access and where you can arrange excursions, transport etc.
A private boat operates from the jetty between May and October to ferry club visitors across the bay to Kalkan harbour or a taxi will be there in a flash to take you into town by road.
There are three outdoor pools, both salt water and fresh water, of which one is dedicated to adults only. Another has a slide especially for children. As an alternative to poolside relaxation you may choose to while away the hours on one of the numerous platforms cut into the rocky shoreline of the Resort's 200m seafront , from where you can dive directly into the warm, sparkling turquoise waters of the bay which are fed by fresh spring water from the Taurus mountains. There are poolside snacks available and a charming restaurant overlooking both the main pool and the sea.
For more energetic pursuits, visit the well equipped gymnasium and the water sports centre which offers diving, snorkelling, windsurfing and waterskiing. For those with any energy left, the volleyball, tennis and table tennis beckons whilst the sauna & Hammam (Turkish bath) offer a less active alternative. Thankfully, the beauty, unisex hairdressing salon and massage parlour provide a recovery lifeline. A doctor is on call if needed.
Early evening is the time to relax on the terrace with a cool drink and watch the procession of boats return to harbour often bathed in a spectacular orange sunset.
The main restaurant overlooks the whole bay of Kalkan and offers light lunches and dinner in a wonderful setting above the rocks. The restaurant next to the hotel, known as The Agora, is in a charming square complete with fountain. As well as lunches and dinner, there is a sumptuous, Sicilian buffet on Monday and Saturday evenings in season which represents extremely good value. A Piano Bar and Disco provide entertainment for the evening not to mention the vast array of restaurants in town.
The Turkish Mediterranean Coast region
The Lycian coast of Turkey is aptly named the Turquoise coast with exquisite, clear blue sea water. Below the Patara Prince Resort , the sea is fed by springs, resulting in the cleanest and purest sea water in the Mediterranean. Although the Kalkan coast is dramatic and rocky, Patara beach, voted by The Sunday Times as one of the most beautiful and unspoilt beaches in the Mediterranean, has 18 km of white sand and is approx a 15 mins drive. Kaputas is a sandy beach approx 10 mins drive away. Kalkan's climate is considered to be the best in Turkey with 300 days sunshine every year and very low humidity.
Kalkan is on the route of the Lycian Way, which offers walkers stunning scenery and many archaelogical sites on its route. There are many ancient sites within easy reach of Kalkan including Xanthos, Pinara, Tlos and Patara. Further afield are the well known sites of Olympus, Kekova, Myra and Ephesus.
The enchanting historic town of Kalkan was once a small fishing village. Today it still retains its charm in spite of increasing sophistication due to its popularity with international visitors. The winding, cobbled streets teem with life at night to the accompaniment of jazz and blues music wafting from bars and restaurants.
Kalkan boasts more than sixty fine restaurants , many set at roof top level, offering excellent Turkish and European cuisine at reasonable prices. There are several good quality food shops including supermarkets, boutiques selling everything from bikinis to pashminas, and all essential daily needs are well catered for.
A range of outdoor activities are available from Kalkan including diving, snorkelling, canoeing, water skiing, sailing, para gliding and windsurfing. Regular boat trips from Kalkan harbour explore the area and beautiful coastline, including the well known gulet cruises.
Spend an unforgettable day on a boat or gulet, cruising the crystal clear waters, soaking up endless hours of blissful sunshine whilst dining on a superb lunch cooked specially for your party by your skipper/chef.
Patara Prince Resort is nestled on a 60 acre secluded sea front estate along the Kalkan bay. It has beautiful landscaped gardens and wonderful facilities which include 4 pools, windsurfing, water skiing, snorkelling, scuba diving, Turkish bath, spa, indoor pool and gym, tennis courts, volley ball, snooker/pool table, table tennis, sun beds, and platforms right on the edge of the water for sunbathing and relaxing. In addition, there are bars, including a piano bar in peak season, and three very good restaurants. Essential supplies can be bought at a small supermarket in the resort. A regular shuttle boat between the resort and Kalkan harbour offers a more glamorous way to do your shopping and there is a shuttle minibus running through the resort , as cars are offloaded and then parked outside the main gates of the Patara. Some of the facilities are not available outside the peak tourist season which runs from May to October.

"You just have to go & Enjoy!!!!"
We have just recently returned to Australia from our stay in Kalkan ( long way from home) . Firstly the villa was absolutely fantastic. Just as the owner, Eve portrays on the website. Views from every room. Tasteful and comfortable decor, fabulous location and nothing could be faulted. Eve is very helpful, accommodating and flexible with requests ( dependant on bookings) and gave us lots of useful tips ie: re driver from and to Dalaman airport, to great restaurants ie: Rose Restaurant Kalkan, Sunset Boat Trips and many helpful hints about the villa, town and resort. We loved the place from the villa to the rock platforms, the sun beds, the people, the Turquoise Coast and the fishing village of Kalkan. We are definately heading back to this little piece of paradise and I have no reservations about recommending this villa as an excellent home base whilst away, everything you could wish for!!. Next time we return ( and we will) we are likely to have a few more travellers in our party and if so, would not hesitate in renting the owners larger apartment which accommodates 10 and is located next door to where we stayed in Villa 143, so again fab views, great location within resort, tasteful, comfortable and practical layout and your own pool!!! You can't go past this resort, these villas, owner and Kalkan and the great people if you wish to have a thoroughly enjoyable and relaxing stay. Heaven... thank you Eve, Patara Prince and the people of Kalkan.
