About the home

Villa Sermin, conveniently situated at the top of Kalamar Hill, is 5min. walk to the Kalamar Beach Club (with its watersports, dive centre and restaurant and courtesy bus back!), or a 20min.walk (5min. dolmus ride) to the centre of Kalkan, where the cobbled streets and alleyways are lined with small boutiques and restaurants to meet every taste.

The Villa, as a 'home in the sun', rather than a 'villa to let', is equipped and furnished accordingly, with all of the comforts of home, and more. The beach towels,chairs,umbrellas, cool-bag and wine cooler are there for the trips to Patara or Kapatas Beaches.

The poolside summer kitchen, barbeque and dining area allows daytime and evening al fresco living, while the lower terrace, overlooking the pool, and the Kitchen terrace allow relaxed wining and dining whilst enjoying the stunning views over Kalamar Bay.

The split-level layout of the Villa makes it ideal accomodation for two families or families with older children, with two lounge areas.

This unique property has been designed to flood the interior with light without having the glare and heat of the sun.It is light and airy with high ceilings and marble floors throughout the accomodation.

The Villa has mature terraced gardens from the front and round the side to the pool area.
The Villa is situated in a quiet cul de sac with parking at the front.

There is a Welcome Pack provided for your arrival.
As a 'home', the Villa is left supplied with tea, coffee,toilet and kitchen rolls,dishwasher tabs.,washing powder,fabric conditioner etc. so that we don't have to go out shopping for essentials when we return.
Property to be vacated by 10am, on departure, although we try to be flexible, where we can.

Conditions

£100 per week deposit is required with booking.
Balance is due 8weeks prior to departure.

Kalamar Beach Club

The Turquoise Coast/Lycia region

This beautiful region of Tukey has dramatic, breathtaking views and is steeped in history. The clear turquoise sea is edged with a rocky coastline. Just three minutes from the villa is Kalama Beach Club, with all the usual beach facilities, some of which are free.
Kalkan is an ideal holiday base with something for everyone. The picturesque village with its cobbled streets has an interesting selction of boutique shops and many restaurants offering everything from a tasty snack to fine dining. May and June are generally sunny and warm to hot and July and August sunny and hot.

The Kalkan / Kalamar Bay area

In Kalkan and the surrounding area are several beaches. Kalkan has a charming shingle beach, Kaputas 10 min by car or bus is a favourite for diving and snorkling and 20min bus or car ride brings you to Patara Beach 18km of unspoilt sand.This is a world heritage site where the turtles nest and is the location of the historic remains of Letoon and Xanthos.
Things to do in the area include:- Water sports and diving, Boat trips, River canoeing and sea Kyaking, walking,visiting the many Lycian and Roman sites, visiting the natural wonder of Saklikent Gorge (cool even in August), a visit to the trout farms and restaurants at Islamlar, relaxing in a spa and enjoying a turkish bath.
This area is very popular with artists and is very good for amatures.

Airlines that fly into Dalaman, direct from the UK include Thomas Cook, Easyjet, Monarch, Jet2, Pegasus and Turkish Airlines.Kalkant is One and a half hours transfer from Dalaman.
However, Kalkan is is 3hours transfer from Antalya, which is a dearer transfer but the flights are frequently cheaper (per person)
We can arrange transfers or recommend a Dalaman based car hire company,which is economic for one week stays.

“Perfect holiday, beautiful place and fantastic villa” We were there for nine days with another family, the villa was extremely comfortable well equipped and had a warm relaxing feel to it. Kakan is a very atmospheric place with windy streets, lovely boutiques, market stalls and a great variety of restaurants. We hired a boat here for the day 'captain Lucky' and had the most amazing time. The local beach club at Kalamar does a fantastic homemade ice lemonade and you can easily spend days there relaxing, swimming and a great diving school too, the kids loved it. We did hire a car so as to visit some near by places, definitely try the fresh trout farms and get up really early ( avoid the crowds) to go to Seklikent Gorge, so beautifull. A thoroughly great holiday x

“Beautiful views , large roomy villa , super pool” Large roomy villa , very well equipped . 2 hours from Dalaman airport. Lots of different "family spaces" in the villa with the 2 lounges, 2 terraces and outside dining area.
