This quiet second floor apartment is conveniently located along the Kalamar Road in Kalkan. There are only two other apartments in this detached building with its own pool and tidy gardens.
The apartment has air-conditioning in both the living area and bedroom. The main balcony overlooks the pool from the living area, while the smaller secluded bedroom balcony has views of the Taurus Mountains.
There are cool marble floors throughout, adding to the spaciousness of this large apartment .

The Turquoise Coast/Lycia region
This is a particularly beautiful part of Turkey and there are opportunities to visit the ancient Lycian cities of Letoon, Xanthos and Patara to soak up the history. Although Kalkan is located in a rocky area, short trips by jeep safari into the Taurus Mountains offer greenery and nature in the mountain villages which is refreshing and relaxing.
Kaputas Beach and the Mavi (Blue) Cave are not to be missed - truly stunning. Boats leave Kalkan Marina every day to visit coves and beaches such as Patara, Kas and Kekova Island.
Kalkan area
The apartment is a 15 minute stroll into the main part of the village. Kalkan is a typical fishing village with its narrow streets, whitewashed houses, and colourful flowers in pots on windowsills and wooden balconies.
Pleasant small bars and fish restaurants surround the area of the marina, where yachts can moor and replenish their provisions. Shops selling handicrafts and various souvenirs are open until very late.
You will be spoilt for choice when dining out - there are hundreds of restaurants, each with a warm welcome, most with a rooftop terrace and an extensive but inexpensive menu to choose from.
How to get there
The nearest airport to Kalkan is Dalaman (90 minutes) or Antalya which is 3 hours away. Transfers by air conditioned car or minibus is available from Dalaman with a local agent, XPress Tours, whose representative will meet you at the airport (£45 per vehicle each way).
Car hire is readily available, although not necessary, and can be arranged in Kalkan.

The air conditioned bedroom has a king size bed with an orthopaedic mattress, a very large fitted wardrobe, bedside tables with lamps and a mirrored dressing table and access to a small, secluded balcony to enjoy breakfast with views of the Taurus Mountains.
The living area has everything you need, a comfortable seating combination and a roomy dining space as well as a range of cooking facilites for all your needs if you choose to be self-catering. There is a sofabed for additional guests which can be made completely private with glazed fold-back doors without reducing the main seating area. This living area also has the same reverse-cycle split system air conditioning as the bedroom, which allows them to be used as heaters during the cooler seasons if necessary.
The bathroom is larger than average with marble tiles throughout. The full sized sunken bath also has a shower over and is fully screened. There is plenty of storage with a shaver point , a hand basin and wc.
Further details outdoors: Use of the 7m x 4m swimming pool is from May to October and shared only with the other two apartments. The large paved area surrounding the pool is bordered by beautiful fragrant plants allowing plenty of room for sunbathing on the loungers which are provided. Both the pool and all the outside area is kept spotlessly clean on a daily basis.

Smoking is NOT allowed in the apartment or on the balconies.
Regretably we are unable to accept bookings for children under 8 years.
Conditions
Whereas the apartment access and accommodation is completely level and spacious, the pool area is only accessible by a set of steps which is unlikely to be suitable for wheelchair users.
Both a deposit of £100 and a refundable security bond of £100 is required at the time of booking, with the balance of the booking payable no later than eight weeks prior to your departure date. The apartment will be checked for damage/major breakages by our Kalkan agent after your departure before your bond may be refunded to you, usually within two weeks of your return home.
