Bellamina is a spacious one bed luxury apartment, built and furnished to a very high standard. It is in a superb location, within the edge of the town, peace and quiet, yet only a few minutes walk into Kalkan Old Town centre. The apartment is stone built, tastefully decorated and very well equipped. It has full air conditioning and antique marble flooring throughout. The open plan living area is light, cool and spacious, with a french door which opens on to a small private front facing balcony with sea views, with a table and two comfortable chairs to enjoy light meals, or to sit out in the sun, or enjoy a glass of wine under the stars with a wonderful sea view overlooking Kalkan Old Town and the bay. It also has a large separate private patio and sunbathing terrace at the side of the apartment by the apartment entrance with the advantage of sun all day. This terrace has comforable quality sun beds and a large parasol with a table & chairs to dine outside and provides the option of sunbathing in private to sunbathing along with other Emir guests at the two shared pools,

The Turquoise Coast/Lycia region
Kalkan is a small peaceful resort on the beautiful Meditereanean turquoise coast of Turkey. It is more sophisticated than the normal Turkish holiday resorts and has not been touched by mass tourism. It is in the heart of the Lycian region and many ancient sites are relatively close by, including Xanthos, Letoon, Pinara, Tlos and Patara. Very strict building codes keep the town small and architecturally blended with the historic heart of the town known as "Old Kalkan". The people of Kalkan happily welcome you, warm Turkish hospitality and friendliness is the basis of life here and the people of Kalkan sincerely enjoy getting to know their guests.
Kalkan / Central Kalkan area
In the evening, the Old Town which is 5 minutes walk from the apartment is the main attraction. The selection of restaurants is almost endless, with many tucked away from view on roof terraces or down little side streets. The quality of the food is generally high, with many restaurants serving a wide range of Mediterranean cuisine, along with Turkish favourites, to cater for the more cosmopolitan clientele that Kalkan attracts. In the picturesque harbour, yachts sit side by side with gullets. Excellent boat trips depart daily at around 9.30-10.30 am these can be booked direct in the harbour at moderate prices, many of which include lunch and visits to quiet bays for swimming along this attractive coastline.
How to get there
Fly to Dalaman.Collection from the airport and transfer to the apartment in Kalkan and return to airport by private hire car, cost. £55 each way for up to 3 people including luggage payable locally in Kalkan, we will be happy to make the arrangements. The journey takes 1hr 30min. Car hire from the airport is another option. Flights are readily available from most airports. Further details indoors: This is a top quality one bedroom apartment, it is spacious with high ceilings, furnished to a high standard with new hand built traditional wrought iron and natural wood furniture. In the lounge area there is a comfortable matching armchair and a three seater sofa which converts to a single bed,a coffee table and an occasional table, a standard light, and a glass topped dining table with four chairs. It enjoys a LCD flat screen T V with satelite reception and a selection of English programmes. There is also a quality CD player with a selection of CD`s if you wish brink your own favourites. The well equipped kitchen area has ample matching wall and base units with granite work tops. Modern appliances include a gas hob with extractor fan, stainless steel oven, washing machine, microwave,a larder fridge with ice compartment, electric kettle, toaster, and a full range of good quality crockery and glassware. An iron and ironing board are also provided, along with a security safe for the use of guests. The good sized airconditioned bedroom is bright and airy with two windows. It is beautifully furnished and has a king size double bed with bedside tables and table lamps a quality CD player and a bookcase with a range of paperbacks.There is a large triple wardrobe with plenty of hanging space, plus drawers, shelves and a full length mirror on the inside of the door, and a combination safe for your valuables. Also a dressing table with electric hair drier, a lighted Revlon make up mirror. Also a wall mirror over the dressing table with wall light. The fully tiled shower room was fully retiled and remodelled in May 2009.It is spacious, with a cubicle power shower, quality WC, and washbasin in a full vanity unit with cupboards, large mirror and wall light. Also a separate storage cupboard, housing iron, ironing board, clothes airer, etc. All opening windows have mosquito/insect protection mesh screens.
Further details outdoors: The attractive stone built Emir Apartments were newly developed in 2006, built to an exceptionally high standard in a superb location within the edge of the town only five minutes walk into the centre of Kalkan. A select development of only 19 spacious units created in the building of the former Mina Hotel, which was previously a very popular Tapestry Holiday Boutique Hotel. The apartments have a very pleasant and private exterior with a good view of Kalkan and the bay and are not overlooked from outside the development. There are two large freshwater swimming pools surrounded by spacious sun terraces, with comfortable sun beds and parasols provided for sole use of guests. The enclosed grounds feature private landscaped gardens with many attractive flowering plants and shrubs. Also `Bellamina` enjoys its own private sun terrace with two comfortable sun beds and a large parasol.
Further details
The apartment will be given a complete clean prior to arrival and weekly and mid week onwards. It has on site management housekeeping and 24hr security. Rubbish bins will be emptied daily, in addition to the full weekly and mid week clean, the bed linen and towels are also changed. The management couple live on site so will be there to welcome you, give you the keys and show you to the apartment whatever time, day or night, that you arrive, which is also helpful for any unexpected delay. They will also be available to give you any help or advice throughout your stay. A small complementary hamper will also be supplied to provide some essential provisions until you have time to shop. There are two excellent mini market shops nearby. A full set of bed linen etc.,and towels are provided, please bring your own beach towels. No smoking is permitted within the inside apartment accommodation. The apartment is not suitable for persons of very limited mobility as there are two flights of steps leading in to Emir apartments and up to Bellamina, or for very young children who are non swimmers as the outdoor swimming pools are not protected.
Conditions
A 25% non-refundable deposit is required to confirm a booking, with the balance due 8 weeks prior to arrival. We will also be pleased to arrange your transfer by private taxi from Dalaman airport to the apartment, the transfer cost is £55 each way.

May 09. Had a great holiday. Been to Turkey about 16 times but this was our first visit to Kalkan, it has definitely got the wow factor we loved it. The Old Town is beautiful especially lit up at night, it has so much character and lots of lovely restaurants. We also loved the sandy Kaputus & Patara beaches. This was the best place we have been to in Turkey and could not have chosen a better apartment, it was great with wonderful views. It was fabulous. Thanks Tony & Liz for a great holiday.
