About the home

3 bed luxury spacious south facing detached villa is set in a peaceful location with a large swimming pool, Bouganvillea covered terrace for al-fresco dining, mature gardens and spectacular views. .
With generous accommodation it is equipped to a very high standard, fully air conditioned and wifi available. The villa is situated within a 5 min walk to the nearest shop, bus station and Thursday market but is in a quiet part of Kalkan, a magical Turkish fishing village backed by the Taurus Mountains, making this the perfect holiday location and one you will not forget.
The pool is approximately 8m x 4m long. All windows have insect screens. A welcome hamper is provided to get you started.

The living area is fully air-conditioned and spacious with two three seater sofa beds and two arm chairs. In addition there is a music system, TV, DVD player and play-station 1. (including a small selection of DVDs and PS1 games)

The kitchen is modern and very well equipped, (see facilities below for details) with a large dining table and chairs. The doors from the kitchen lead directly to a large terrace covered in Bougainvillea, providing welcome shade whilst you enjoy a spot of Al Fresco dining. Conveniently located on the ground floor is a WC.

Bedroom 1 is on the first floor fully air-conditioned and has a double bed, wardrobe, dressing table and en suite bathroom with wc, basin and double walk in shower. It has stunning views and access to a furnished balcony.

Bedroom 2 is on the first floor fully air-conditioned and has a double bed, wardrobe, dressing table and en suite bathroom with wc, basin and double walk in shower. It has stunning views and access to a furnished balcony.

Bedroom 3 is on the second floor and has twin beds, wardrobes and bathroom with wc, basin and shower. (this room does have some height restrictions) It has easy access to the large private roof terrace providing spectacular views of Kalkan and Snake Islands.

Fantastic sunbathing/relaxing areas on the flower covered terrace or balconies. Sunbeds for up to 8 people. Shaded pergola seating and shaded external dining area for breaks from the midday sun.

There is also a BBQ if you fancy trying your hand at Al Fresco cooking. Beautiful deep pink and red Bougainvillea climbing up to the balconies and dotted around the terrace are terracotta pots overflowing with pretty colourful flowers. The views from the roof terrace are breathtaking and together with the new pergola seating this makes for the ultimate night time viewpoint to be mesmerised by the twinkling lights of Kalkan.

Kalkan is a small peaceful Mediterranean resort on the beautiful Turquoise south west Coast of Turkey which curls snugly around a historic harbour sheltered at the foot of the towering Taurus Mountains.

The town overlooks a beautiful bay in which islands seem to magically float upon the shimmering sea. Narrow streets twist down to the harbour, lined with old whitewashed villas with shuttered windows situated alongside small local speciality shops and restaurants in historic buildings. Overhead hang original carved Ottoman Greek timber balconies garlanded with thick masses of brilliantly coloured bougainvillea cascading to the streets below. It is a very special place with a unique atmosphere.

Kalkan Boat Trip
Chill on a relaxing day trip around the bays and islands of Kalkan, lunch is served onboard. Plenty of swimming and lots of fun.

Saklikent, Tlos & Yakapark
A wonderful way to escape the searing summer heat of the coast, this tour takes you into the Taurus mountain range with its fresh springs cascading to the plain below. Travel down the river on a giant inflatable rubber ring, followed by a mud bath.

Scuba Diving & Try Dives
Kalkan has many excellent dive companies offering full day trips, 'try dives' and PADI open water courses for those looking to establish themselves as a certified diver.

Horse Riding
Riding on the beautiful 18 km beach of Patara.

Fethiye Market & Kayaköy
Approximately 15 minutes from Fethiye is the Ghost village, Kayakoy. After the inhabitants left the village in 1922 to return to Greek soil, the houses, numbering about 3,500, where left empty and deserted.

Canoeing
An exciting day of sun, fun, nature and canoeing along the beautiful Xantos River. No canoeing experience required to share an exhilarating day in Patara national park as your experienced guides show you one of the most unspoilt places of the area.

“A perfect holiday” We have visited the VIlla on 3 separate occasions over the last few years and had the most enjoyable time. The VIlla is extremely spacious, clean, well equipped both inside an outside. It has a lovely pool and sunbathing area and we have enjoyed numerous Barbies on the terrace. There are views over the sea which are spectacular especially from the roof terrace. I can recommend this VIlla to anyone, whether for couples or families.
