About the home

This spacious luxury Villa in Kalkan overlooks Kalkan bay and is only 700 meters from the harbour town centre. The villa is situated within a 650m2 plot surrounded by stone walled gardens and picturesque plants and trees including bougainvillia.frangipane,olive and lemon trees.It is fully furnished to a high standard with tiled floors and quality fittings. It has a 48m2 Living room and a 47m2 private swimming pool with plenty of outside areas for eating and sunbathing which are not overlooked. There are plenty of areas to 'escape' - a sheltered bottom garden with shade and a large hammock, a private balcony off the 4th bedroom with sensational views and a further rooftop terrace with a sofa and chairs.There are 4 double bedrooms all with en-suite bathrooms and 2 have jacuzzi baths; there is also a single bedroom. A double inflatable bed is also available for extra large groups. The property is fully air conditioned and has full central heating for low season but we also have mosquito nets on the windows if you prefer the gentle breeze which is a benefit of the villa. The villa is sunny with a lovely outlook from all sides.

The change over day is Monday ( this can occasionally be flexible in off peak periods). The pool is unfenced and as such shildren should be supervised at all times. The bottom garden is away from the pool and is shaded by an olive tree.

The Turquoise Coast/Lycia region

Kalkan is a picturesque harbour town on the stunning southwest Mediterranean coast backed by the Taurus Mountains.The cobbled winding streets display historic Turkish buildings,local shops, bars and boutiques.
Kalkan has over two hundred restaurants offering a wide choice, with many tucked away from view on roof terraces and down cobbled streets.The quality of food is very high and many cater for the more cosmopolitan clientele that Kalkan attracts. The shops are open all day until midnight and sell goods varying from glassware pottery,leather goods, fashion and a dazzling range of bespoke jewellery.The nightlife comprises mainly of restaurants and bars, although there are a few late night live music venues.

The Kalkan area

Kalkan has a pebbled beach with "blue flag" status awarded for cleanliness. All forms of water sports are available, or you can simply charter a boat and crew for a day to explore the dramatic coastline and inlets.
In Kalamar Bay, there is a local beach club with secluded bathing platforms cut into the hillside on the waters edge with swimming,water sports,restaurants and bar facilities, providing amazing views of the sea transport to this club is complimentary.
Patara Beach is a 10 minute drive away but can be reached easily by Dolmus. It has been voted by the Times as 1 of the top 10 beaches in the world and it also has a large Roman Amphitheatre and remains behind the 7 mile stretch of gently shelving sand. There are 6 major sites of Roman and Lycian remains within an hours drive or there are trips which can be taken with the local agencies. There is scuba diving in Kalkan Bay, canoeing in the Patara National Park or rafting at Saklikent gorge. Paragliding cna be enjoyed at Kalkan, Kas or Olu Deniz.

“Amazing villa in a perfect holiday retreat destination” Having stayed at Villa Olive 3 times now I can safely say I have been more than impressed by the entire holiday. The villa benefits from great views from every aspect. It's extremely spacious and well furnished inside and out. With an amazing pool and plenty of individual, quiet sunbathing areas you really couldn't ask for any more. Kalkan is a beautiful town with countless top class restaurants most of which are rooftop. With many great shops and market stalls along sometimes tiny cobbled streets it has a wonderful atmosphere about it. A perfect holiday!

“A first class villa with a great pool, sun decks & stunning views!” I was really impressed with Villa Olive. It overlooks the bay of Kalkan and therefore has the most amazing views and yet it is only a short walk to the centre of the resort! The outside pool & sun deck areas are perfect for sun-bathing, relaxing & dining and are also very spacious. The bedrooms are airy, light and bright with good-size en-suite bathrooms. The kitchen is well-equipped and we used the BBQ outside a couple of times too! Also, some great touches by the owners...lots of information on the villa & facilities, but also information on their favourite restaurants!

“Beautiful villa with excellent facilities” Lovely villa with beautiful pool, good sized bedrooms and good living space. Very clean and well looked after. Cant wait until our next trip!

“Stunning views, spacious, clean and great value for money” I've stayed at the Villa Olive on two occasions now and will absolutely be returning again! This villa is extremely comfortable and has everything you need for a relaxed, stress free holiday. Kalkan is a gem of a place - there are lots of great tips for the best restaurants in town and things to do at the Villa. It's excellent value and a fantastic holiday - I can't recommend it highly enough.

“Beautifully appointed villa with a lovely pool” kalkan is a great holiday spot, lots to do if that appeals, fabulous food and a very friendly welcome. This villa is close enough to enjoy it all but quietly located with fabulous views and a very generous pool. service offered by villa management was excellent, the pool and grounds cleaned twice a day, with bread and water delivered to the villa in time for breakfast. Highly recommended

“A luxurious get away in a stunning villa with FABULOUS food” When we arrived at the villa after a very smooth pre-arranged transfer we were immediatly suprised at the sense of space in the Villa and surrounding gardens and pool. Much bigger than the photos looked! The lower garden was perfect for an afternoon siesta in the hammock away from the chatter round the pool. The drinks area with lounging sofa on the 3rd floor had views out to sea and was perfect for pre dinner drinks as an alternative from being round the pool. The beds also very comfortable and air conditioning very effective (thankfully). We had booked an extra cleaner in mid week which was great although with a dish washer and a better equiped kitchen than ours at home it wasn't required. Kalkan was just amazing we has the most fantastic food. We also went on a day trip on a gullet (approx £25 a person including lunch) round mouse and swallow island which was great and very relaxing. We swam in and had a mud bath on the beach. We visited the Roman ruins of Thlos which were amazing and very relaxed to visit without the usual tourism trail, we just walked right round. I couldn't recommend this villa enough it was perfect and we could walk in to Kalkan every evening to eat. A taxi home was required on occasions as it is a walk up a hill. PERFECT. I'm going to book here again next year!!
