This beautiful Villa looks out over the Kalamar bay & has large terraces off each floor as well as a 40 msq pool (& baby pool) for the Occupants' sole use. The pool is set in its own terrace, with gardens below. Outdoor tables, chairs & garden/pool lights allow for Guests to enjoy al fresco dining. Fully air-conditioned & furnished to a high standard, all the rooms are extremely spacious (the lounge alone is over 50msq), thus offering a family or couples sharing real space & comfort, even with maximum occupancy of 8.
Unlike many Kalkan properties perched on a steep hillside, Zeytinlik Villa is a max 15 minute walk on the flat to Kalkan village centre. This means that even in the height of summer it is still possible to walk into the villge rather than constantly pay out for taxis. Situated at the top of Kalamar bay it is an 8min walk down to the sea as an alternative to going to Kalkan beach/beach clubs. Overall the Villa is just far enough away not to be disturbed by noise from traffic, restaurants or bars but still very accessible to them all in village.
With the available food shopping, cleaning & dinner services & full range of amenties including those for children, it is ideal for couples coming on holiday together & equally comfortable for a family or families sharing. Guests have the added advantage of the owner being on hand to offer information or help if needed.
Families with young children should note that the various accesses to the pool have lockable iron gates. Cot, bedding, highchair, car seat & baby rocker available.

The Turquoise Coast/Lycia region
Do not underestimate the amount of things to see & do in the local area. Minutes from the resort you are in a region steeped in history : There are numerous Lycian & Roman ancient sites to visit close by & even more slightly further afield, as well examples of Ottoman architecture. Mountains all around provide excellent walks, cycling, or road trips, as well as many mountain villages to visit & which are delightful. Waterfalls & gorges are amongst the natural sites to visit - as are the wild porcupines living in the mountains,if you have the patience to find & follow them! Good walking boots & sensible safety (such as water & suncream) are advised.
Apart from the local beach/bay there are small, sympathethic beach clubs around the bay as well as Kaputas (shingle) beach 10mins by car out of the village & the fantstic Patara beach - 18km of untouched sand protected due to it's nesting turtles & about 20mins by car/bus.
From may thru to the end of June the temperature is between 75 & 90 degrees, July-~August around 90-100, September 80-95, October 75 to 85. (Evenings from end of Sept to end October cooler.) It can rain in October but usually lightly & for a few hours only. Occasionally there can be a 2 day stormy stretch but it usually returns to temperate weather soon enough. There is often sun through to the end of November.
Kalkan / Kalamar area
Apart from watersports & daily boat trips from the harbour & canoeing on the Xanthos River there are real life attractions which are all the better for not being organised: Weekly markets, Fethiye fish market, horse riding or walking on Patara beach, trout farms & restaurants in the mountains, arts & crafts shops in the village as well as carpet & jewellery shops & a high standard in the many restaurants Kalkan has to offer. There are many organised tours to visit the ancient monuments with a guide or alternatively plenty of car-hire options to do your own trips (you must be able to show a valid drivers license for insurance).
Although the lack of organised entertainments may put some parents off, in fact those families that do come generally say it is one of the best holidays they've had for the freedom & safety their children are given. Children can wander off round the village exploring it's myriad streets, while parents sit in the cafes & the child-friendly restaurants & shops & family-orientated Turkish culture mean parents don't have to worry about taking their children anywhere. For teens there is again the freedom of the village & it's shops as well as the watersports & even the low-key bars which accept families.
How to get there
Fly to Dalaman (about 90-120 mins away), Cypriot-Turkish Airlines, Thomas Cook, BA, Turkish Airlines. We can organise a private transfer to collect you from the airport or arrange car hire. (Taxi's are very over priced.)

Further details indoors: Decorated to high standard the Villa is light & airy with lovely views from the lounge. All the rooms are very spacious - the bedrooms ranging from 18msq to 22msq, the lounge more than 50msq. Each bedroom is en suite & has direct access to the pool so that Guests may go directly from their respective rooms to the pool & back to change rather than traipsing through the main house. The roof room is an en suite double room with it's own terrace, which again allows access directly to the pool using an external staircase. It's postion on the 2nd floor allows extra privacy. The galley-style kitchen has plenty of room & a double sink, designed for efficient cooking. (NB Mosquito screens on all doors/windows. It is recommended that Guests keep screens closed at all times but especially from early evening onwards, to prevent bugs & mosquitos getting into the Villa.)
Further details outdoors: The large 40msq pool & adjacent small baby pool are for the villa occupants sole use only & are reasonbly private not being easily viewed by other surrounding buildings. They are accessed from each bedroom with french windows leading directly out to pool terrace so guests need not traipse wet through the lounge. The pool terrace is also accessed from any floor in the house by external staircases. There are 2 sets of garden table & chairs so Guests can chose to eat by the pool or on the large terrace off the lounge, rather than at the indoor dining table. There is onsite parking at the front & back of the villa.

The owners can organise private transfers (air-con & fully insured cars or mini-busues) from the airport upon request priced aas follows: Including the return journey at end of holiday, £90 for up 3 in a car & £130 for up to 8 in a mini-bus.
Conditions
Smoking permitted in the lounge but not the bedrooms for safety reaasons. Highchair, cot, rocker, bottle sterilizer, 2nd travel cot all available for babies/young children. Guests are advised that when using the air-conditionning all doors & windows should be closed & when absent from the property the units should be turned off. All breakages to be reported & paid for.
